Toucan Do It! Purple Cheesy Og-zie: A Dutch Seed Shop Grow By VG-zie!

Beat me by 18 minutes!

I am a ska fan, and that in no way is ska!

You beat me to everything this morning Amy!
The duellers are a ska band.lol it is a more 80's ska as in the special a.k.a , the beat ect but definitely ska. I do like older bands like skatellites ect... we had a attempt here in uk to revive it through young band called "the ordinary boys" , fairly true to the nature of ska but sadly didnt hit mainstream.

You beat me to everything this morning Amy!
Ok folks - break yer watches! :laughtwo:

Beat me by 18 minutes!
So funny too because I typed that out and then spent quite some time trawling my journals for that video and the whole time I’m thinking - by the time I get back there, Shed will be all over the Farside connections ;)

Hey VG - you seem to be triggering lots of my past journeys of discovery! So I keep having relevant things to share :thumb:

I had to make my own base for the DBHBB kit because ProMix isn’t available here. So I got straight SPM and mixed it w ag line and perlite.

Farside has done so too and has thread dedicated to it.

In his recipe, he uses easily double the amount of lime I ended up with. I think both work fine. I’d even say less is maybe more. I made 42 gallons of soil and probably only used 2-3 cups of ag lime.

Also ... got something special for you on terps seeing as yer having a happy nerdy about them

Three awesome people talking about terpenes. Im a big fan Both Kevin Jodrey and Samantha Miller.

I just posted that vid on my other journal a few weeks ago. I really like them too. Especially Kevin. I wish he would update his Skunk project vids. I wish I had a brain like Samanthas.

Thanks for the links Amy. I'll get to mixing.

SPM is mixed.
I used the guide on the back of the bag since I used the fast acting lime. It says to use a Tbsp. Per 12" pot.
I assume that I should water these 4-5 days in advance to get the lime working prior to transplant. And I should also take a slurry to make sure that I didn't mess up.
I can't be that far off that it would make much of a difference, especially mixed into a much larger quantity. I only use about 10-12 qts. of moss a a couple Tbsps of lime.

Should be perfect. You let it ‘cook’ for a couple a weeks now?
I don't think that I need to do it that long. I really didn't add much. Most if the bulk was from adding a bunch of perlite. It will probably sit for a week after I wet just so it has some time to dry out a little before planting.
I'm keeping an eye on the Exodus Cheese. She's the biggest so I'm checking her regularly. I don't want to compromise their root system by waiting too long to transplant.

I think ProMix says the lime kicks in in about 5 days of being watered the first time.
Ok cool, thanks - so it’s different to cooking a full mineralised mix then. I’m about to buffer a bit more this way, and mix in some Coco and see about my own soilless mix and some homemade organics... experimenting w autos. :)

I would mix that mix alot. Think paint mixer in a drill or butter churner. Your choice.
Dang!
I thought I did. Now I'm paranoid that I didn't.
I haven't wet them down yet.

Remixed and wetted. Draining in the tub.
The sticky traps I got are tiny. They are hard to find locally this time of year so I'll take what I can get.
Adding more DE in the morning...stupid gnats.
