Well, I set up a vinegar trap until I can get to the store for traps. My bedroom smells awful. I may have to peroxide them. There are more than I originally thought.

I prefer ska to reggae (if that's not sacrilege on a weed site :oops:). Reggae puts me to sleep after a couple of songs. I heard this on the radio a few months back and was jamming all the way to the taco place! Streetlight Manifesto too.

I'll hit them hard and fast. DE and traps tomorrow. H2o2 in a few days and follow up with a feeding. The soil is still pretty moist. I'm really trying to not over water. This particular Pro Mix is funky.
 
You seem to be getting the hang of it rather well! With the H2O2, don't use it as strong as I did on young plants. I think I killed the Sour G in the solo cup but the mothers didn't suffer any damage from it. I think I was 2:1 3% H2O2:water.
 
Flerkin’ gnats!

My 2cents worth: Crush and dissolve some Mosquito Bits (or dunks) into the water everytime you feed. It has a special bacteria (Bascillus Thuringiensis - Bti - spelling may be off, from memory ;) ) and it kills the larvae. Was definitley one of the most effective things i did. ANd it’s not dangerous to humans or other critters, just gnat babies. Mwuahaha!

I was reading about it's use a bit more. I keep seeing people use it in spray bottles. Just have to reapply every few days. Not sure if I want to do that or the dump method.

I was online earlier trying to hunt some down and found that I will have to order those. They are a seasonal item here.
I use them for my patio ponds but ran out this fall.

When you let your Pro Mix dry between watering do the get very dry or are they a tad moist yet? I know that SPM can become hydrophobic if it dries too much.

And mosquito babies....although mosquito babies aren't a big problem
for cannabis growers... :)

If you get something with BTI in it (Dunks,Bits, or Gnatrol) and treat your plant water with it,
The gnats will be gone in 2 waterings-if your plant water gets a little cloudy with the dunks (or whatever) in there,not to worry- that means it's working.
You'll have to wait for the adults to die off,(2 or 3 days) but the adults don't actually hurt plants,since they're incapable of eating solid food-(they can only drink) they are just annoying
as hell...
 
The HP gets pretty dry and shrinks away from the cloth pot at the top edge. It takes a bit longer to water after that, but not as long as it takes Emilya, because life!
 
My Pro Mix doesn't dry out like that for obvious reasons. The pots can be really light but when I stick my finger in to check the moisture level they seem slightly moist. They look thirsty though. Drooping a bit and it's been four days since they were fed.
Last time I fed them and they were fine. Prayed and grew fast. I'm just apprehensive about this stuff.
I'm going to pop one of the plants out to look at the roots quick. I'll see how wet they are at the bottom.
 
When I say slightly moist I should clarify. It feels how it does when it comes out of the bag.
 
Either way you should still just listen to the plants while avoiding wet feet. Moist feet are okay though. You might end up doing what Baron VB is doing, which is top watering while the bottoms dry out. It's a dance until the pot is completely filled with roots.
 
Roots look good. They are feathery and bright white. They are ready to up- pot anytime.
Nothing seemed soggy and appeared to be equally moist throughout.
This stuff is made for high water demanding plants like tomatoes and flowers. I'm just used to working with soil so this is throwing me off a bit.
I'm going to hold off feeding them until tomorrow morning.
