We used it as a preventative measure at a weaker dose on outdoor grows. Rains overnight, give them a spray or dozen and leave it, rains next time it washes away..reapply especially those thick colas. The residue will lay in the nooks and crannies and help prevent it from getting a chance to FML.
Could there be any after taste or anything else to consider? Yes, do not let it run down into your soil as it could in large quantities cause some PH problems.

Yes, that’s why I said bud washing, not just taste but the grit. We know rain does no harm to the trichs - it may help generate pm but it doesn’t hurt the trichs. Trust me once you see what the first bucket looks like after budwashing a plant you will agree. If you’ve ever cleaned your snips after bud trimming then you know that trich glue doesn’t wash off with water - it takes a solvent or steam. But it also helps the cure because the plant dries more evenly after bud washing.
