This is a start of another grow journal with Nirvana Sour Diesel Seeds. My brother in-law gave me a 5 pack for my B-Day. He just started his grow a couple days before I and his just broke soil yesterday, and I am a couple days behind him, but we well be doing a comparison grow. So, I can get him some pointer along the way. Since he is growing in soil I will be also. I will be using a mix of Promix regular soil and 30% of Promix HP soil.
I will not be blending Promix organic and their HP for this grow. I believe @Twist Me Up will be using Fox Farm soil, not sure witch one.
She will be grown in a 5-gallon cloth/fabic pot supply by @Geo Pot with their new handle attached for easy movement, if for some reason you would need to move the pot.
I have recently been in communication with @Geoflora and said I would do some soil grows using the their @Geoflora Grow and Bloom. I have used @geoflora products before and was very impressed with the ease of use and the effectiveness of their product. I had an extra bag of Grow and Bloom I gave @Twist Me Up so we are using the same nutrients.
I still haven’t decided how big I want to grow her or what tent I will use. I should be able to answer this question in the next couple of days.
What do you think one big one in a 4x4 tent or a smaller one in a 2x4 tent?
Here are the strain details.
Description
Sour Diesel is basically a New York Power Diesel back-crossed with one of its ancestors - the mouth-watering Sour Diesel. This is a light-green plant with phenos ranging from medium to tall in height. The taller ones will need some trimming or super-cropping to restrict its stretch especially if grown indoors with other pheno-types in order to create a level playing field for light intensity and penetration.
Sour Diesel can be grown outdoors as well as indoors although its 9 - 11-week flowering window will require environments where the weather stays warm and comparatively dry through to October in northern latitudes if it is to mature fully. Indoor yields are between 400 - 500 gr/m2. The aroma of this marijuana strain is powerfully of diesel with pink grapefruit citrus notes and earthy undertones. Its taste is broadly reflective of these aromas with more of an earthy citrus hit.
Potency is very high and Nirvana's Sour Diesel creates a happy, euphoric and uplifting high that is sure to impress even experienced smokers and vapers with its stimulating, cerebral high. Therapeutically it is recommended to treat symptoms of depression and stress as well as to stimulate appetite.
I will be doing a short three or four weeks veg on this strain before flipping to 12/12. This will mostly be a scrog grow for training and control purpose. I will try to do a detail scrog grow if no unforeseen condition occurs. Hopefully I can get my son to take images while I laid the net.
The Soul Diesel germinated in 24 hours and is now in a plug to establish a root system. In a few days she will be placed in soil pretreated with @geo flora grow. Images coming soon.
Stay safe, and grow well my friends,
Tok..
