Toast's 2016 Indoor/Outdoor Grow Journal

For those of you interested, I took clones on the 3rd and 4th and I said I thought they would go 4 or 5 days between checks. I checked them a day early and darn lucky I did. They were so dry that I had to pour Clonex on the Rockwool in the bag with this

instead of an eye dropper. I can do 3 bags a minute so it took me 10 minutes to open, water, blow up, and retie 31 bags. Another thing, a much bigger clone is going to need to be checked more often then the smaller ones. As in this case
DSCF6634.JPG
as big as the clone on the right is, it will need to be soaked every other day if it gets any hotter out here. Here they are all nice and cozy

I'm going to try and get at least one of those plants that guy brought back up on the hill, so I will post again. TOAST

Today besides general maintenance, I took the tops of the SSH in Planter #1 as clones
DSCF66433.JPG
as it turns out, I had 6 EF's I thought were males, 1 was and it was destroyed, 3 are Female and I topped the big one for the clone and for height

2 still haven't shown them selves

and that's it for me . TOAST

The ziplock girls are getting nice and chunky. :woohoo:

Do you mix the coco and perlite in equal proportions and then in equal ratio with the soil?

Thought I'd let you know my friend...I germinating 2 of each, and was I lucky or what...all have showed sex in the last few days so I have a female... AU, AU×LA, UD-Boom, and UD-Chem ;) couldn't be more happy brother! We've been getting much needed rain showers the past few day, new pics will be coming in the next day or so...hope all is well on your side of or the country!

Glad to hear it too....it's all good in the hood:thumb:

At least with you guys anyway - I tried going back to using a sealed container to start seeds but it's not worked too well for me and I'm going to start over and stick to germinating in rockwool with an active res.

Screwing up does at least give me a clean sheet to start a photo period in hydro grow.....AU here we come? :)

PS. do you have the volcano pics that show how you sex your seeds handy? A mate of a mate over here bred something and I got a bunch of seeds which I might be able to take my own versions of those pics with. No idea what was bred with what yet but is was deliberate and the dude that did it is the reason I like Kush so much ;)

There is no way you can tell whether the plant is female or male just by looking at the seed. This myth has been de-bunked. :thumb:

Sexual determination has been found to be slightly dependent on temperature, as well as a few other more complex things regarding genetics.

I put another plant on the Hill, a JD
DSCF6657.JPG
I also wired the branches of the SSH in Planter#1

I was thinking sense the EF wasn't ready to go in the plot where I wanted to put it and the SLH isn't ready to go in Planter #2 and wont be for several weeks, I decided to put the 3 EF's and 2 JDS's in Planter #2 so that's a EF, JDS, EF, JDS, EF
DSCF66601.JPG
and for some reason this PR is throwing way more Tricombs then the other plants

That's it for today. Have a good bunch TOAST
