Ti First Grow

This is my first grow.
I am attempting to grow without chemicals. I have sensitivities to pretty much all chemicals. even when used to grow foods. Cannabis helps me a lot with my reactions. unfortunately we live in a world wrath with chemicals and i react badly to all of them. I grow my own food. hunt and forage in the forest for medicines. I make all my own cleaners and personal care items so it only made sense for me to grow my own cannabis.
I do know a lot about herbs and plants so I was hoping what I know would help me with this new adventure. I am always looking for new knowledge so I am thought that posting what I am doing I would collect new techniques and get guidance. I am in the second week of bloom at the moment but will bullet post the beginning pictures of my grow.
The laws in my state for medical grow is you can have five plants over five inches tall and you cannot grow outdoors.

I built my own tent out of mylar. the tent is 8x9. i have a separate grow room that is 5x4.( I had to add this because of other plants not so far along)
I am using 600 led full spectrum lights
I am growing in 18 gallon tubs.
I created my own soil with a blend of living soil, peat moss, worm casting, bat guano, bone meal, blood meal and basic manure.
I use well water blended into a tea. I use a light mixture of the above ingredients for the tea. I make sure that the bacterium that the plants feed off from are well fed so my plants stay happy.
I put bat guano and neem oil on top of the soil to deter pests.
I do have a watering schedule and have changed the mixture to up the phosphorus and calcium.
I keep the lights about 20 inches on veggie and 16 on bloom.
I used the philosophies of espalier and bonsai to keep her trained.
I also used the living soil and living water mindset.
I also have bagged mushroom waste for co2 that i have hanging above the lights and plants.
i keep the room in the 80s range in the day and mid 70s at night for veggie and drop both temps by ten degrees in bloom.
I keep the humidity around the 40 range for veggie and upped it to 50 range for bloom so far.
The sticks you see in the pictures are for training.
I also cut the center after the first four sets of leaves grow to keep her from releasing the hormone that may stunt her since I am training her.
I spread her out to promote her natural defense to keep herself cool to get her bushier. This is why I keep laying her down exposing her main stems.
The picture where she looks picked apart is where I took some clones. I figured since I am trying something new and had the grow limit available I thought why not. I will post more pics in my next post

More grow pictures from this grow. she is getting bigger. I continued with keeping her down using sticks the first two pics are of her last two weeks of veggie. She stayed in veggie for 8 weeks. I moved her to my smaller bloom room because I have clones I got off from her and I am trying to grow a strain called Cheez. In the third picture I added a frame that is 22x34. I continue to keep her low the first two weeks of bloom but I have let her go. I will post my new pics of her tomorrow. It will be the beginning of week three tomorrow. I don't know what to expect next. everything seems to be going well with her. she started really smelling a few days ago. It makes me excited but I know I still have a long way to go and only the buds can really tell if what I am trying to do is working.

Beautiful. Obviously your experience with organic growing is a big plus. Patience is the key.

it is? i have no experience with it. thanks for the heads up.
Hey @TiChad I just finished a full room of gorilla glue.
Great smoke but it takes forever to trim they are such bushy ladies.
Journal is looking great.
Keep up the good work. :thumb:

Here is the sequence up to today of clones I am trying. Its a first for me. Not sure if I like this technique. I am finding that the space between leaf buds are further apart. inches. The plants look a lot spindlier to me than when compared to the original I am growing. They are healthy and have great color and size. like the original. I use the same soil, lighting, watering. I am thinking the fact they are 3rd level branches from the base is the issue? I know the closer you can get the leaf buds the bushier the plant can be and that can be achieved using the bonzai philosophy in the first few weeks of the grow. I think this is why they look spindly. I think.

Funny story. I was trying to take some close up pictures of my first plant. Every time I would try to take a picture the screen would flip to selfie mode. I noticed that a leaf from my plant was touching the phone where you flip the screen. I made a comment to my husband telling him the plant keeps changing my phone over to selfie mode. He thought I was making a joke but it kept happening when I would put the phone into the plant. I told him again that the plant keeps messing with my phone. So, at this point he is thinking I am nuts and looks into the tent wanting to know what I meant. At that moment I try again and this time the plant leaf touches the take picture button and my phone takes a pic. I look at him with that "see I told you" look. Fortunately he saw the plant touch the phone. So I check my phone to see what picture was taken and this picture is what I found. I am guessing my plant didn't like the pictures I was taking and decided she needed to step in and take it herself. lol. It turned out pretty good I think.

I thought about it for a second. How could my plant set off the buttons on my phone? I think it is because of the heat she puts off? You can "see" cannabis plants with infrared. So, she must have enough internal heat to activate the touch screen on my phone? I dunno, but it was kinda cool.
