Thor's Bag Seed First Grow - 2014

Im no electrition.
but i think its metal halide that needs the ignitor and the hps that doesnt.
i think its cool to run hps off a metal halide ballast but not the other way arou d

as said no electrition dont take it as gospel

So after waiting around most of the day I got the call at the last minute to come and pick up my newly arrived hps bulb :yahoo:

I then turned my MH off, let it cool down and took it out to see if the hps fits into the same socket and whether it would actually work on the ballast...
Moment of truth...

Going 12/12 from tomorrow:cheesygrinsmiley:

Ok so it's been quiet around here lately, my apologies! Things are well on their way 9 days into the 12/12 schedule, all 3 have turned out female :cheertwo: stoked! And some are forming some nice looking budding sites. Trying to lend a decent camera so I can take some good pictures, hopefully will have some up by tomorrow.
Other than that, all is good in the hood :allgood:

So a few questions..
Q1: I've clearly still got some deficiencies to deal with, namely nitrogen def by the looks of it. I have been watering with 2.5ml of bio bizz - biobloom(NPK 2-6-3.5) to 1.5l of water with a ph of 6.6. At the moment, watering about 1-2/week, I water based on when my girls start looking a little thirsty. So do I need to feed them more nitrogen?

Q2: My pots are about 2litre, I get runoff after watering with as little as 200ml of mix, and the runoff measures 6.6 ph, I'm concerned because that seems like a rather small amount of water going in to achieve runoff. Worried that my watering mix is almost running straight through my soil and I'm reading the ph of my mix again instead of getting a good idea of the soil ph. But maybe I'm fretting too much, any idea's?

Q3: Is it too late to do a little LST'ing? I want to even out my canopy a little :cheesygrinsmiley:

Looks like your suffering from some root lock my friend. Don't fret. Hit them with a flush. Try to get the water to around 6.0 or 6.2. Do this for the next few waterings and she should snap back. Don't do a bunch of LST to it, not while it's shocked like that. Might not come out of it

Flush them once or twice. If its nutrient lock you don't want to give them the fresh nutes of fresh soil. See if them look better after 1 flush, if there is any improvement hit her again with fresh water. But you gotta wait until she's completely dry in between waterings. Over watering isn't good for the roots, it drowns them.

So decided to go fishing this morning and after throwing in the towel eventually I came across this little one while walking back. It was growing out from under a concrete drain pipe.

Decided it was meant to be and adopted the little one! Been wanting to put my new found knowledge to use on a second grow but have been struggling to germinate with bag seed, now I can skip that all together :cheesygrinsmiley:

Hopefully it recovers, if it does I'll start a separate journal for it.:peace:
