Thin Mints - GalaxyHydro LED - Happy Frog

Yea the closet door has a pretty big affect on temps inside the tent, luckily I can just leave it open most of the time. Also keeping the shades/blinds closed in the room that the closet is in helped also. I think I'll be good with the tower fan inside the tent and getting rid of the very loud fan I have inside the closet at the moment.

I didn't think growing would be this exciting, and expected it to be much slower progress but it's been less than a week and I've got 7 out of 8 seedlings above ground. I like that the tiered pots give me a good idea of how wet the soil is in the middle of the pot. It's pretty dry in there now and the top of the soil has been dry since last night but I'm going to hold off on watering them until tonight or possibly tomorrow morning.

Seems like overall my plants are doing well so far. I accidentally ripped one of the leaves off one of my thin mints but it's already grown back another one. I've been watering every couple of days and transferring one of the bag seeds from the mini solo cup to the regular sized cup showed me just how small the root ball is at this point and that I don't need to transfer the others for a bit longer.

Watered them this morning and transplanted all the rest of the ladies into their solo cups; which aside from tearing some roots that had grown out of the bottom of the mini cups into the solo cup was a pretty painless process.

Some of my ladies aren't looking so healthy anymore. The thin mints all seem to have stopped growing and look very droopy ever since uppotting. Any advice?

This is one of my bag seeds that appears the healthiest of all my ladies.

Let them dry out for several days, then yesterday morning I gave them all just a little bit of water and trimmed off the lower most leaves which were turning yellow and dying. I saw a lot of growth between then and this morning. One of the thin mints has leaves with a very different texture and wider spaces between the "veins" than the others and I did also notice a bit of yellowing on the very tips of some of the lower leaves on other plants but overall I think its going well and I don't want to add a bunch of nutrients or make the grow very complicated. My whole plan from the start was to keep it fairly simple just soil, lights, water and LST or mainlining. So I'm going to stick to that plan and try not to worry myself too much with trying to "fix" the plants. I'm not trying to grow club quality stuff or win any contests, just want a nice headstash for myself so I don't spend anymore $$ on weed and overall I'm really enjoying growing and taking care of the plants as a hobby. I check on, hangout and smoke with my ladies often :)

What kind of soil are you using? I think you may run into trouble down the rd without any nutes at all unless you have some good soil.

The soil is happy frog, I do have some "FloraNova Grow" nutrients that I was sold along with the Happy Frog and was told it would be a good way to "keep it simple" to use that during the later part of the veg stage. Last night I was reading up on mainlinng and I'm really tempted to top some of my plants today.

Yea Iv had an itch to try mainlining also. I just love the way they look. As far as the other. Happy frog will probably get you thru to flower. But I think you will need some bloom nute of some sort in the flower stage. And even if they live without it. You will want to. There are plenty of "simple" bloom nutes out there. Flora Nova has one. I grew a sugar skunk last year out doors. Long story short, It only got watered from rain. No nutes. Only what was in the soil which was some cheap walmart pot n soil. The plant lived and fully flowered. But had almost no smell, Very little taste, and not that strong. I also only harvested about 15-20 grams from it. Just my 2 cents which are worth less than 1, but I would at least find some kind of bloom.

I went ahead and mainlined all of them except the one runt plant this morning and they already seem to be responding very well, compared to how I left them after trimming the remaining branches have strengthened up and are pointing straight up toards the light. I'm going to tie them down this evening and tomorrow I will consider giving them some water and take some more pics.
These are from this morning.

I went all in even trimmed & tied down the plants that were already struggling and I'm prepared to suffer the potential loses.
It's amazing how quickly most of the plants have reacted to the mainlining.

No water the past few days and most of the plants are growing pretty quickly. I broke one of the branches on the runt thin mint plant trying to tie it down but it seems like it's still fighting to stay alive and continue growing. So at this point I have 5 strong healthy looking plants that also all seem to be female. I'm really debating setting up another small tent in the closet that I can use for veg, sexing, and clones etc and keeping the current setup with the 5 plants and growing them out pretty large before flowering.

Off with their heads!!

Good work on the mainline, as soon as those shoots pop out far enough you'll be able to train them outwards. :thumb: keep up the good work and bring on the challenge... Excellent. reps+ to you brother!
