Morning to ya neighbor

Well I’m gonna give these roads a try this morning an see how it goes, if they are to nasty I’m turning the blue bomb around and heading right back home :rofl: I’m thinking a nice slow 10 mph tops this trip into town might be the answer........if I can even get going lol.

Yes! Dec 21st is my favorite day of the year cuz the sun is coming back. It might still suck outside for a few months but at least I know it'll get better.
 
Your plants are looking awesome, Dabs. The frost is coming on strong. And kudos on photo quality. I had to laugh when I saw the funnel... the joys of trying to water a pot that you can't even see. Hahahaha.

Just be safe. Mrs dabber said they weren't too bad and they're worse going that way usually! Valdez got it bad eh? Well try to have a safe Friday buddy. Maybe I can drag the girls over for a little visit here in the next few days. A little R & R with M&M .

Thanks bud. Yeah the scrog makes it a little tough. Shed had me do a tutorial on the watering ring... so I had to pull it off yesterday and it was a pain .

I'm relatively pleased with everything but next round we are gonna give the DWC a try....
 
Not DWC! Think like a pirate... arrrrrDWC. And since you're in the bathroom you could use a return pump to the toilet (clean it first) as the reservoir and when it's time to change the res you just flush. Yes, it's genius, and self-filling. Patent pending.

Any type of dwc owns. I like all the variants and need to try them.

So what are the benefits of recirculation? I was just going to do a 12 gallon. 2 net pots, one on either end. 6 inch airstone.

The toilet is pretty genius. But I would likely just throw a tote above the toilet back. The things are disgusting. I cleaned them and they're just stained with nasty. But a float valve in the tote would act as a nice automatic shutoff.

I keep telling myself the simpler the better to start. Not too many moving parts where something could go wrong.
 
The main benefit of RDWC is reduced labor. If I was running DWC I'd have up to 8 totes in one tent and four in the other to maintain. With RDWC I have two. You want the res at or below the level of your totes so they drain back to the res when you empty the system.

I guess my thing is I'm only running one tote.... or only plan to run one. And I could always mod this original tote to become my res if I want to go to an arrrrDWC with 2 buckets, right?

I mean I love the idea of not having to battle lifting the lid to Ph, test tds/EC, change and drain the res, and (instert all the other annoying ass inconveniences associated with non-RDWC here)... But I'm thinking I will have a drain low on one end (nearest the tub drain) and a 5 gallon homie depot bucket above the res line. Connected to the tote so can top off automatically. It may take a little bit but I should be able to configure it and fill it so it automatically feeds nute solution to the main tote throughout the week. So I will only have to mix up nutes every week. Fill the supply res with enough for the week, and just check up daily on readings. This watering daily and mixing nutes daily is getting to be a task this stoner can live without

What size space you working in? The current tent would kill it with one 10 gallon tote!
