Another breeding idea!

Before you chop, buy the hygrometers you will need so that you know what's going on in the jars. You aren't the wing-it type by my reading and you can be sure you're doing it right. Are you going to use the dehydrator per SweetSue? If not, you need to consider where you will be drying (in the dark) since you're taking the plants down at different times. The controlled environment of the bathroom is great but that won't work while the rest of the plant finish unless...cardboard boxes maybe?

Well I think I subbed the old journal, so I'll jump over to your new one. Congrats on the harvest! I am ashamed to admit I'm terrified for chop. Not to kill the plants, that part I'm thrilled about. I am worried I will mess up the dry. And trimming.... I've never trimmed a plant, unless you count breaking up nugs to smoke? I like your idea of differnt methods and am very intrigued by low and slow in the fridge, but the wife hates the smell so unless I buy a mini fridge, ain't gonna happen!

When I was chopping mine down I kind of felt like I was cutting my arm off lol I didn't want to do it but I knew that it had to be done. Yeah I want to try to low and slow method as well but I've only got one frigerator and don't really want my kids asking what's in the bags lol... I dried one batch by hanging them in my closet for a week, it came out pretty decent... not too fast not too slow... then I dried the second batch in my growBox with my new sprouts and it over dried the buds in about 8 hours from cutting.... luckily I was able to put some moisture back into them by putting them in a jar with a fresh bud.... and the last batch I have hanging in cardboard boxes to see if it differs at all from my closet in terms of drying time...

With a sharp utencil.... sorry couldn't resist .. Ugh..... all I know is Gloria will go first. Trics on Lilly are just starting to show amber... regardless of her development she is coming down on the full moon.

And I'll move the runt Abbie over after her sister is gone.

I don't think Gloria will fit out of the opening unless I flip her on end so I may have to just pull an arm at a time. So that's likely how I will execute

Already ordered some! They're coming from China at some point? No dehumidifier this time. Too scary. I have under the sink .

So I started flushing Gloria. I think we do have a salt build up. And I refuse to let it lock out my K to the point where all my sugar leaves are fried by the end of the week.... think I've out 5 or 6 gallons through.

Took TDS reading of runoff.and the meter had a bit of a Brain fart and maxed out at like 1090.

I'll keep running gallons through her until lights off. Then re set with low feed of mostly TERPINATOR.

When it rains, it pours. Culled seedlings and a dying bush. Fun fun fun!

You reminded me of salt buildup, causing the leaves to dry up before it gets to harvest. I'm having the same problem, but where to draw the line between bi-weekly feeding and avoiding salt buildup by not feeding at all.

And, believe it or not, I am encouraged that I am not alone in having dying bushes and weak seedlings. So TY for this post!

Yeah this is the one down side of hempy imho. And the reason I will either move away from it, or have to find way to modify.

Salt build up is hard enough to combat in coco without a res, so a coco hempy is almost a double whammy. Probably didn't help that I overfed to compensate for what I diagnosed as under feeding. Oops!

As far as seedlings, well I never start mine in hempy. I wasn't thinking clearly and left them too far below the light. Oops!

First grow or 40th, there is always something to learn and improve upon! Hopefully I can get this salt issue straightened out. Just glad I caught it before I let it snowball on me too much.

These are my drying boxes. Staples paper boxes with soft ties that run across. They work great for me.

Didn't mean to scare u into a flush lol. I'm glad u did tho just incase they were nearing lock out. I had a feeling I was gonna run into this issue because I had started to feed to very little run off and that's exactly what caused my run off to spike. But thankfully my leaves didn't really show any signed. Few burnt leaves but I just ignored it. Oh well. Home stretch. Let's go love tub !!!
