So, as mentioned above, I smoked 3 bowls of the sample white rhino. I usually smoke 3 bowls, so saw no problem in doing that. I mean, how strong can a quick dried sample be right?
When I felt the effects come on, I had the fantastic idea of documenting it on my journal while high. That way, I won't forget something or distort the truth. Sounds great in theory, but doesn't work so well when you're completely shattered.
So let's try this again...
It's a creeper, but in a unique way. The effects don't ramp up over a period of time. Instead, you barely feel anything for 5 - 10 min and then it hits you like a freight train. Not in a good way either. Kind of like this: Disappointed --> WAAYYY TOO STONED!!!! MAKE IT STOP! That is no exaggeration. I felt like a green horn who had smoked too much because I wanted to keep up with the cool kids.
White Rhino is known for it's powerful body buzz. Unlike other strong indicas, it also has a decent cerebral effect as well. A nice one, two punch. Sounds great right? Not if you overdo it though. The body buzz I loved so much when I first tried it a few years back, was now approaching the alarming stage. Pressure in your sinuses (behind your eyes and nasal passages) and face tingling that feels like pins and needles is just not my cup of tea. Couple that with a sizable helping of anxiety, and you're in for a dark ride. We live close to a small airport. At one stage a helicopter was flying low over the area. Here comes the paranoia. The cerebral effects were extremely powerful. The body buzz was overwhelming. I had to remind myself that it won't last, and I should just calm down.
Luckily, that intense feeling only lasted about 45 min. Then the high started to subside a bit, and was more manageable. The effects last about 90 min with the last 30min being all in the body. As I started drifting off to sleep, I would get these tingly waves that start at the top of my head and flow down to my feet.
This is quite possibly the strongest shit I've ever smoked. Strong is not always good though.
Sample was cut on sunday night, so a saturday harvest should be good. With a proper dry/cure, I'm sure the anxiety and some of the intensity will disappear. I hope so.

I know this type of weed. Not really my cup of tea either. About ten years ago I started taking 1 hit and waiting for 20 to 30 minutes. When I know I'm in the clear I'll take another and so on. Once I know the weed intimately I can smoke a full bowl or 2, but I'm not willing to go there again. However, I've got to figure out how to apply this to edibles lol

I still have 5 more samples to try. One for each remaining plant. I think I will adopt your approach from now one. Smoke one bowl... wait 15 min. Then take it from there. No more hitting the bong like a blazing gunslinger.

It's so strong you need to use the buddy system when you smoke. Never smoke alone!!
Just tried the second white rhino sample from the topped plant. Only had 2 bowls this time, and i feel fantastic. Now this is more like it. I'm pretty blazed, but it is nice and comfortable. This plant is about a week behind the other one from last night. So I think the potency will be on par with the other plant when they are both done. Will just need to halve the dosage in future. I'm not complaining.

Glad you managed to climb down from it after not too long. I revel in making this mistake all the time! Since I started vaping and never seeming to run the same strains, about every 4 months I pull this move at least once.
I have a nice dark spot with headphones for curling up in the fetal position until it goes away.

Glad you're loving the WR after that close call Blaze I swear this is what makes first timers swear off weed lol. With all the efforts to make more potent strains and growing techniques, I really appreciate a less potent non-devastating strain as a every day smoke. When I get those so high I'm paranoid strains, I tend not to grow them again. Keep those reports coming for the other 4 plants brother. Curious about the EK!

Don't dismiss the WR just yet Doc. It is a beautiful buzz if you get the dosage right. I smoked some EK last night, but I smoked it after 2 sessions with the WR. So it's hard to give an accurate report on it. I can tell you that it is also strong, but is more narcotic that the WR. It also tastes good. Even for a quick dried bud. Will smoke it exclusively tonight and let you know tomorrow.

I haven't felt that stoned in probably 18 months or more. Bare in mind, I've only been smoking daily for the last 3 and a bit years. In the beginning, I made this mistake about once a week. LOL! These days, it's not that easy to get super mangled. So while it wasn't pleasant at the time, there was still a part of me that was celebrating...on the inside. Hahaha!!! It's going to impress the hell out of my friends. They be like...

Not too much to report today. Calyxes are swelling, and buds look more solid. It's easy to see that they are ripening up now.
PM is slowly making a comeback. I'm not too concerned though. It is not nearly as bad, and the plants are almost done. Also, the baking soda and lemon juice in the bud wash does an excellent job of cleaning everything up.
On to the pics...

Looking forward to the EK report. Those genetics are just so dang good is hard to imagine they won't produce stellar offspring. I have a strain called Mouse Trap from Dank Genetics that is Exodus Cheese x Star Fighter OG. Sounds real similar to yours. I've been wanting to grow it for a while and might have to make it my next project.
Go smoke it hurry lol (joke).

The second I get home, walk the dog, shower, eat supper, feed/water the plants... then I will smoke. Only 12 more hours Doc. LOL!!

Great colas of ganja blaze! You probably can't tell, but these look even bigger than the last pics. Definitely putting on the weight. That last pic, the calyx are stacking oh so nicely. Stellar job brother!

The EK I smoked last night was the other shorter one. Bud was so tight I had to tear it apart. You can't just crumble it between your fingers like most nugs. It is rock hard.

What kind of dog are you walking? Dogs are my favorite people. I put my 15 year old lab mix down last year. He went above and beyond his calling. I've got a rat terrier and a rescue mutt from Texas that keep my days so full of laughs and surprises. Wouldn't change it for the world!

I love pitbulls! I had two. They're my favorite dogs. The only reason I don't have one now is the stigma. It's a crying shame because they are the most loving funny dogs on the planet. It's all about the way they're raised. Mine wouldn't hurt a fly, but they were knuckle heads. I had a girl that couldn't leave fire works alone. Every 4th of July she'd get her whiskers and eyelashes singed off lol. She'd pick up a 500 pack of fire crackers in mid blast and shake it like a badger lol. I miss that girl. My boy would swim out to the middle of a river and turn up stream. He'd swim there for up to 3 hours right next to the camp site just looking at us with that big ol joker grin. Damn I miss those days!
