I have another question on the ghe nutes you're using. Do you have to ph your water for it or is it ph'd from the bottle? Here in SA do we go for the soft water seeing as it's treated water?

Yes, you still need to pH unfortunately. I used the softwater micro with no problems, but my tap water is at about 0.15 EC.
Oh that's nice mine is .65 EC but it's PH 7. Was hoping to use it in my rdwc so I don't have to cart 50L of R.O. water

Yeah, that's pretty high. Greenthumb has hardwater micro in stock now.

Hey Bud, I know it's a toss up but now that we well on our way into 2018 could you perhaps give me your top 5 strains of 2017. Top 10 would be better and list them in order please, not just a scattered top 10.

I don't know if I will make 10, but let me give it a bash balsak.
Ok, so these are not in order, simply because I don't really believe in one bestest best strain. They are all on the list for a reason, and I will try and add those reasons in.
Purple Envy
Come on... you knew this one was going on the list. LOL!
This is the easiest strain I've ever grown, and I'm not just talking about one fem bean here. This current PE is my 5th plant of the strain I've grown over the last few grows. They are all extremely uniform. So far it seems there is just one pheno. Which tells me the breeder put some effort into locking in the traits they wanted from it. When I say it's easy to grow, I mean it literally almost grows itself. In the same tent, other plants are suffering from heat, low humidity, mites (from time to time), some display nute sensitivity or small pH issues. Right now, I'm fighting mites in the veg tent. Every single plant is affected, but the 6 PE clones show zero issues and are growing beautifully. They are in the centre of tent, surrounded by plants with mites. It is a bit weird actually. Obviously I sprayed them as well. I'm not relying solely on voodoo here.
On top of all these benefits, it has this going for it as well:
- Vigorous : It will get big, in a hurry!
- Aesthetic : It takes well to training, so top it twice and you're presented with a beautiful bush with many tops.
- Yield : I don't know if it's the largest yielding strain I've ever grown, because my feeding routine has changed so drastically over the last year. It is definitely a good yielding strain though.
- Potent : It is not the dankest, but it is in the top 3 most potent strains I've ever grown.
- Bag appeal : It easily scores 8/10 in this department as well.
Only criticism, if you can call it that, is that it is a 10 to 11 week strain all day long. So for cash croppers that would be a problem for sure. Take it too early, and it is a non-stop ride to paranoid station. Smell is decent, and taste is ok.

I've grown this strain 2 or 3 times. Its been a while since I've grown it, so the review won't be as indepth.
I noticed 2 phenos. Both are pretty good, although the cat piss pheno was definitely the better one, but it did display some hermie tendencies. If you stay on top of it though, you will be fine. Just pinch off any pollen sacks you might find. I had to do that twice, and no more pollen sacks after that.
- Great yield
- Over the top stinky buds. The cat piss smell is only in late flower, but disappears once in the jars. Proper old school skunk stank.
- Extremely potent. Might be the most potent bud I've ever grown. It is a toss up between this and strawberry amnesia.
- Relatively easy to grow, although it will triple in size when it stretches. Both phenos did this.
- Fairly good bag appeal
- 10 week strain

Before I forget!!! Got spidermites? Get MILBENOCK!! It fucken wipes them out, and is not hard on your plants either. You must wear a proper respirator though. None of the paper mask bullshit. Active ingredient is milbemectin.
The PE may come down first of next week
