TheBlaze: Genesis, Chapter 1, Verse 1

Purple Afghan Kush... noted! I like the coffee smells. I believe pre 98 Bubba Kush also has that terpene profile.

Need to get some of that then. I'm impressed with Dinafem so far.

Thank you Rogue.

No secret bud. Maybe the photos are deceiving. They still have a ways to go. ;)

Day 45 and 42 of 12/12

When I opened the tent last night, I was greeted by this sight...

Not what I wanted to see. I had a few stakes lying around, so I did stake her up. The heaviest branch actually snapped. Hope she carries on budding up without issue. That is the most GG#4 leaning pheno. Makes sense, as GG#4 is known for falling over.

Anyway, on to the other pics. First 2 photos are of the same GG#4 pheno. She has decided it's time to frost and bulk up.

Looking good brother, does your pheno of the GG have a fair amount of yellowing leaves in flower? The one that myself and Pat has tends to have a bit of yellowing leaves, more so than the other strains I have. Not a real issue as they are a very bushy/ leafy plant

Thanks Justin

To answer your question, no... not much yellowing going on. Also GG#4 is known for flimsy stems, and needs to be staked. So what happened to me now, is no surprise at all. Also, mine is not very bushy at all and stretches quite a bit in flower.

This will help keep the floppy strains upright Blaze. You can tie the branches to the tomato cage. Only thing I'm worried about when using them is damaging roots when I push it down into the soil

Thanks for the tip bud.

I used stakes on her. So she is upright now. I will pick up some plant yoyos today. I really like those, as you can keep the plant upright but still spread out.

About another 4 weeks. Plenty of time to bulk up and pack on more frost. :thumb: When I staked her up, I accidentally brushed up against the buds. What a stink! Very skunky.

No problem.

The yoyos are handy but they make it tricky to rotate your plants so as to even out the growth which I like doing. Your grow so your rules though :thumb:

Yeah, I hear you. I normally like to rotate my plants as well. The only issue I find with staking and cages, is that if you have buds going all the way down the stems, then it becomes difficult to tie them up without damaging buds or blocking light to them.

So I find yoyos the lessor of 2 evils.
