TheBlaze: Genesis, Chapter 1, Verse 1

Blaze what is your take on this legalization for us blokes? I know this is a step towards the right direction however still has a bit of limits. Do you think they will treat other issues people have like prescribe cannabis instead of anti depressants for people with it. I know we got a big case coming up in June/July with the Dagga Couple which will be almost a 3 week trial. Not sure if that is going to happen still. Congrats on the 100% germ broer :passitleft:

Thanks boet!

I agree that it is a step (very small step) in the right direction. It will be a while still before we see legal weed in this country. For now, I'm staying as far under the radar as possible. All that has happened now, is that they have given the ok for weed to be dropped from schedule 7 to 6 I think. All that does is open the door for possible medical research. Hopefully one step leads to another, and another, and another...

That would explain it, I'm using tiny pots now and they are left alone till I'm ready for them  they only get water till I transplant them :thumb:

I don't know how you guys do it. LOL! I stress too much to just leave them. Then again... I've never run a perpetual garden.

Thanks boet!

Definitely, think it will get there eventually because alot of people are pushing for it. A small step but essential none the less. Hoping it gets there within the next 5 years, maybe it happens sooner or later but as long as it does  blessings

I think it gets to a point where it doesn't really matter if they germ, sure it sux paying for them and they don't germ but running the perpetual there is always something else to take its position :thumb: when they are the only plants you are running and relying on it does become a bit more stressful, if they don't germ you are back to square one ;)

I'm hoping we see some real change over the next 2 to 3 years. Who knows though.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense bud.

I have alot riding on these seedlings. They are literally the foundation of my future plans.

Also, I start feeding nutes almost immediately. Very light dose of course. About 0.15ml/L of each. I ramp it up every few days though.
Are you using nutriplex by the way? Think you mentioned it in my journal

Yes, using Nutriplex.
Are you happy with it? Have you used it before with good results? Do you use anything else besides the 3-pack from nutriplex? I'm reconsidering the nutes I may use next grow in coco, thinking maybe trying chemical nutes next time round..

I'm very happy with it. Been using it for about 2 years now I think. It's strong stuff though, so if you duff it up the result will be bad. I also use calmag and EM-prosoil with it.

Room update

Almost there. I had to spray down all the timber with peroxide today. We've been having some crazy wet weather. So mold was setting in. Made quite a strong solution. Got it on my skin. That stuff f#cken burns!!! Had to soak my hands in vinegar. They will seal the timber sections today and again tomorrow. Then paint.

Here are a few photos.

Sorry skoondawg... didn't mean to come across so blunt and to the point. Was just busy putting together the other post on the new room. I highly recommend nutriplex. If you decide to go that route, I can always lend you a helping hand to make sure you get the best out of it.

No problem at all Blaze, didnt even feel like you came across too blunt or anything. Thanks for the info, was going to use biobizz but thinking why not change it up for coco and go with the nutriplex nutrients, but who knows :D Hydro nutes for hydro grow

i also imagine most of the good chronic you can buy these days in SA are grown with chemical nutrients, as growers seek higher potency and quicker grows. I ultimately will end up staying with organics unless i prefer the chemicals :P If i enjoy growing in coco i will stick with hydro nutes, if i find i actually preferred soil all a long then ill go back to organic super soil probably. Do you prefer growing in coco?

EDIT: That flower room looks like its gonna produce a hefty amount of goodness soon! :D Wow, big big!

Yeah, it is quite big, but I won't be using all of it. Kind of overkill for my current plans. It's always good to have extra room though.

I'm actually planning on going organic over the next few years. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. If you plan on running a larger garden, then organic is so much easier. Coming up with a proper super soil is an art form though. I won't just jump into organics. I want to make sure I have a killer recipe before I make the switch. Right now I'm really dialed into using nutriplex. Maybe towards the end of this year I will start experimenting with organic on one plant.

UPDATE

Day 8

They are powering on and growing nicely. 3 plants are ahead of the pack (2 x EK and 1 x LS) but they were also the first to sprout.

They are still waking up, so they aren't praying for the light just yet.

Disaster has struck. Room is practically done. One big thunderstorm, and it's completely under f#cken water! I'm so f#cken pissed off right now. It has cost double what the builder promised. I'm about $8000 down on that room, and now its all kinds of f#cked up! He promised it would be done in 2 weeks. We are on week 6 now! One fucken storm! That's all it took! I'm ready to fucken pull the plug on this. I spent another $5000 on equipment as well. My life savings down the fucken drain!! Literally.
