The Vault's Brooklyn Sunrise Auto Comparative Grow, In Association With Dutch Passion

Looks like it may have been to wet and damped off.

Water was just from this AM... she had sat there since the 27th, and just curled up on herself. Not sure what Damped off is @Pennywise , what is that

I am skeptical that the Rooter was a bit crushed/tight on her, I wondered that when i put her into it

That’s when the median usually rocwool put the plugs will do it also. It’s where the moisture of the cube is in direct contact with a new stock of a fresh plant. The excesses water soaked the stalk at the base and makes it weak then she falls and turns damp brown like and it’s all over from there. I’ve lost a few that way so now when my seed pops I keep the rocwool away from the stalk by pressing it back then I cover it with the hydration to the base of the plant and continue to cover until the net pot is filled. My Brooklyn took 2 days to back fill 7lbs That’s fast from my experience

I'll be sure and watch the next one

Thanks, great info my friend

That’s what it look likes, I planted mine in coco from the start. Rockwool holds a lot of water and peat pucks hold water pretty well also. For Dwc/Rdwc I start in coco then once the roots are established I clean up the roots and place them in the net cup with hydroton.

When I hand water I’ll keep it away from the rockwool and just water the hydroton and moisture will b pulled or wicked from there. Also if you keep it to wet it won’t root strong. Roots wanna search for water And it makes them grow fiercely.

From my limited experience I believe that seedlings need very little moisture at the root level, but greatly benefit from a water misting of the underside of their leaves. I start seeds in clear solo cups which are in turn put into red solo cups. When I water seedlings I water around the edge/rim of the cup and not a whole lot. The benefit of the clear solo cup for me is kind of like one of those glass ant farms so many had as a kid. You can pull the clear cup out and actually see how far your water got into the soil. About halfway to 3/4 of the way down is what I like to see. This has helped me but again that's just me. I feel watering around the rim forces the roots to grow outward seeking the water. The foliar feeding of the underside of the leaves is plenty for the survival of the tiny plant.

And please, if I am wrong I'm a big boy and would rather be set straight then keep doing something not beneficial to the plant. Trust me, my feelings won't be hurt.

So how long did ya'lls packages take to arrive to the US? Mine they said is shipping today.

Thanks guys I think I've done about 30 and the rapid rooters and this is my first real issue, well that's actually not true in this group I did have an ATF I had an issue so maybe that's it so I will definitely keep my eyeballs peeled on these and less is more for sure

5 hours later and still growing

That thing will be a foot tall by the end of the day at that rate! LOL.......sorry. You definitely have a strong grower in that one. Should be a gorgeous plant.

1 grew a tap root yesterday on the DVR so I have two in peat now

What was it watching... Hopefully the Hockey Game and not the stupid NBA repeat of a repeat of a repeat

:thumb::welldone:

Still no action above ground yet but seed 1 grew a tap root yesterday on the DVR so I have two in peat now...

After looking at the growth in hydro I'm pretty sure I'll be bringing up the rear outdoors in soil in the June Gloom!
Add a humidity dome to those Peat plugs let her get nice and warm and start to fog the dome then they will sprought

That would b nice as long as she grows another set of leaves I don’t want a tall seedling if she starts to get to y’all I’ll move her closer to the light

So 3 day has passed in my 3 gallon dwc system the sprout is growing fast every few hours I’m able to back full my hydration and when I look at her later she’s taller I’m going to give a slight rundown of my system. Here it is
One 3 gallon food grade plastic bucket with heat reflecting tape a large portion of black air line 7 lbs of hydration 1 10 inch netpot and 2 7 inch air stones

I gave the Rez 60* reverse osmosis water with a hint of rapid start rooting from General hydroponic and also a dash of cal-mag Plus I have the buckets filled just to the point that the air bubbles splash the lower basket keeping the hydration wet with the rooter and mag plus I’ll top feed a little amount every 5 hours until I see roots in the water She is courtly under a 1600 watt led but 6 feet away and not under direct lighting. My air temp is a steady 80* and a 50% humidity here is today’s picture
O yeah lookin nice brorha cnt wait to do my reveal lol hpfully soon
