The Vault's Brooklyn Sunrise Auto Comparative Grow, In Association With Dutch Passion

Alrighty alrighty here’s the best close ups I can get. They are Day 72 actually (I miscounted)
I broke my phone loupe attachment so can only see the trichs with my jewellers loupe and like I said all cloudy with touches of amber on the leaves. The buds were 70% cloudy, on the lowers and 90% cloudy on the main buds. I always thought watching trichs was more accurate than hairs, why is that different outside? My googling tells me the same but if someone has some science to share I’m all ears:D

I’m not a fan of couchlock with my sativa so is there another benefit to waiting? Thanks in advance y’all :)

I have only 3 grows so far within one year. But I ve read a lot about weed. When I say I lot I mean a lot. Whatever. I think with my little experience that's you should always be patient and wait for the 100% cloudy if possible but at least a few Amber. Wait for more brown pistils. In general the plant is ready around 80% of brown pistils which in general goes along with most of the pistils cloudy with a few amber. Plus don't forget the flowers can get a lot of weight and size in the last weeks close to harvest! Sometimes it can be spectacular. No matter what it s also good to accept a some amber trich but having the flower fully matured. Taste will be way better! I could see How the more I gave the plant time the best the buds were! I m like you a fan of Sativa as I hate couchlock. Don't worry a good sativa with a few amber trichs will not knock you as much as an indica

A lot of Sativas will never finish, they will continue pushing out white pistils till the day they die. My Brooklyn's were showing amber on some of the lowers but still showing white pistils at the very top.

I’m with kismet thinking the smaller cola buds look Premature but actually being with the plant and photographed are so amazingly different. I also go of trichomes color and the closeup of that big cola looks nice and cloudy. I’d say if your happy chop away. There is always going to b a big what if. But if we knew everything how much fun can you have.

I chop Sativas when mostly cloudy with maybe a few clear and no amber. I look at calyx and not leaves. Leaves will lie to you.
100% agreed the leaves will b all amber and the rest could b half cloudy. Also a stressed branch will go amber sooner also. But I like them 3/4 cloudy. To light amber. I grew one once they turned red. And it stuck me to the couch for weeks. Lol.
