The Quest For Midnight Sunshine: Dabber Begins Breeding Bodacious Botanicals

But they already realized that you know what your talking about. Smart manager
Hey I guess you could be right! And each time i work the person I'm with mentions how well we did on tips, so I must be doing something right! But boy the late nights are rough, idk how you manage mr Derby. And then you figure oh I'll catch up on sleep on the days off, but the schedule is too engraved into your routine... ugh. But the money will be really nice!

Glad to hear the jobs going good. Girls are looking good. :goodjob:

Thanks turbo! Definitely finishing out better than expected. I think I'll just go 11 13 from the flip from now on though I like the results compared to this round.

Dabs brotha your plants are huge and amazing man literally brings tears to my eyes the day I reach your level of skill and info . Amazing brotha
Well none of these compare to TTB of yours bro.... but I really appreciate that joe! Your info and skill level is pretty damn high, dont sell yourself short, I've picked up a lot of what I know from you and your journals.
All the girls looking fantastic!

Thanks penny. I'm happy with them. Rough flowering in the summer but I made it work, kinda.
Glad to hear that you are getting that amazing smell too Dabber! I can't get enough of it when I grind it up. I spend a couple minutes just smelling it. Been hoping yours and Blew Hiller's had that smell. This makes me happy! Can't wait for you to smoke it and see what your opinion is on it! Its the most popular strain I have among my friends here. Had to put the remaining on lock down LOL, it was getting smoked that fast.

Yep I'm very impressed. The strains combine very well. Neither flavor overpowers the other instead they almost complement one another. Glad I have a cut of the one. It's a keeper for sure. But I have to figure out the best way to grow its stretchy ass... probably just scrog her extra hard. Lots of topping. The clones are out pacing the starts size wise

So I'll give the widows a heavy watering type flush with molasses today then theyll go flush tomorrow.

I'll go plain water for a little. Be sure poms are low, and whack at some point. At which point I'll start the stankberry flush (give or take a few days).

Veggers are nearly in need of up potting. Love the soil start. Carefree, and no need for nutes. First I will top them. The grape crush and purple skunk mass are at the correct node. I bent one of the stankberrys over some yesterday. As I said they're kinda wild growers compared to their indica neighbors

Thanks for the kind words buddy .
Im learning and I’m okay with that .

You know where to find me day or night man anything ✊

That 4 or 5 days of summer were nuts! I think we even had 1 or 2 days at 90°?! Lmao no they're doing okay now. Widows are showing some cal issues. I think I'll look into a cal supplement. The magnesium is really what you want to rid the plant of and calcium is vital in the last weeks so idk flush or dont? The answer, I think, is LOS. The plant can take what it wants when it wants.....

Until you get your soil built you can do the eggshell/vinegar mix. If you don't heat it it's just calcium at the end.
Soil flush for 10-14 days
I don't flush soil Joe....no need to, no chemical nutes used.
A lot of folks here have read up on the science of flushing and according to the plant biology, flushing hurts the plant by starving it of nutes at the exact time you want it to produce big buds. The science tells us that the nutes are taken up by the plant to produce the buds but not taken up by the buds themselves.
A critical look at preharvest flushing

Oh duh! Yeah so no heat? Didnt you bake your shells?

And yep that's why I want to look at just calcium. I agree with a lot of what's in that article. However it doesnt account for magnesium and its effects when left in the plant. That's what causes a bit more harshness and can make the buds sparkle when smoking. And again your plants want calcium, but too much mag is typically undesirable, so I want to see if I can just omit the mag and just do a day before heavy flushing (more for the worms they dont like salt).

Okay I see your organic is that why buddy ?
Right like a Living soil or super soil you dont need to flush. Promix with salt based ferts I would! Now I personally feel everyone has a different idea of what a "flush" is. I like to do more water over less days, but some consider a flush just watering a plant to 10% runoff over a week or 2 weeks. At some point it would be nice to test both side by side and see if there is an advantage to one. I assume one is just a gradual decline in nutrient availability while the other more drastic.

I use the latter because like that article shed posted says your plants want nutrients until the very end. I am going to go with 1 tbs molasses for 2 days. Then 3 gallon flush (the size if the container) one day. 2 gallons the next. 1 gallon the last day then whack.

I was replacing cal/mag so I did heat them, but as I recall from the original thread heat converts some of the shell to magnesium or something like that.

As Van said, molasses doesn't feed the plant, it feeds the herd. Now, if you have LOS that would be great for the last few days, but if you don't, other nutes would be necessary.

I mean I guess. I'm not really using it to feed. Well I am. There is calcium magnesium iron and potassium in molasses but it's more for a sweetener than anything.

Converts it to Phosphorus - not mag ;) so no harm...

Hi Dabber! All looking swell here man. Glad the job is going well :)
Nice!!! So maybe I will do a combo of cooked and uncooked...

My mom found an old organic cannabis gardening book of mine and is going to send it up I cant wait!

Thanks amy. Just enjoying my "Sunday" before I head back to work tomorrow... lots of tidying up to do. Hope your having a great one as well. The weather is beautiful here today! I guess its fall time officially better make the most of it and have a nice smoke and take the dog out for some fun.
