The Quest For A Kilo

The seeds went into coco this evening. After a 24 hour soak in water they all had little roots showing .

The big girl is now being fed with pk 13/14 for the next week or so to drop her nitrogen levels right down, the longest I can leave her is another 13 days before I need to harvest.

Looking goid mono! Quick question what is pk 13/14 and what or when is used for. First time grower on week three of bloom should i source some? How will it benefit? Thanks in advance and the great journal!! I see a kilo in the near future!!

I love seeing a large scrog highly populated with densely packed chongers, it looks like a bunch of skyscrapers, being all zoned out like a major city. It's lookin fantastic man!

Cheers fella!

Pk 13/14 is really just a bloom booster used late flowering if the plants need a kick of phosphorous or potassium. In my case I'm using it as a substitute for their daily feeding as the canna coco line contains nitrogen in both parts a and b. So the only real way to reduce the nitrogen levels is to remove it completely for a week or so, then go back to the base line of nutrients again to finish up :)

Damn Mono.... We can't see the 420 sticker anymore.... to many buds....:thumb:

Thanks Twox bud :) I can let her go another 16 days from today, fingers crossed we don't see any mould :surf:

Phoa, thanks bud! That's one heck of a description too ;)

Great pictures Mono. I love seeing the green. I hate that all my pictures are under the LED and have that horrible purple and pink tones to them. I tried playing with my filters on my phone but can't get them to change much.

Thanks bud.

I use iPhone 7 and the pics always look clear on my phone, when I look on the laptop always a little blurry.

Filters don't seem to work very well when it comes to led, Kriaze has a post in his signature about taking pictures under led, if i remember rightly you need a grey card - I'll find the link .

Easy option is to hang a CFL in the grow space and turn the led off and CFL on when taking pics.

Yeah I might just do that.....I have plenty of spots open on the two surge suppressors. I hate the way the girls look under the LED and its a pain the ass to carry them downstairs to take pictures now that they are bigger.

Hey mono sorry to intrude but which way of germinating your seeds work best for you?

Ahh no intrusion bud, everyone is free to ask away anything the want ..

I've simplified my germination method over the past year or so. I used to soak the seeds, then into paper towels before planting to peat blocks then transplanting.

Now I simply soak the seeds over night in room temperature water then plant them into coco. Usually have seedlings above ground within 48 hours.

What is your germination rate with the method that you current use?

100% with photoperiod seeds.

~ 75% with auto seeds, they have a harder seed casing. I got better results last time I did autos by scoring the seed first and leaving in water until the taproot was showing.

Ok cool.....I have only done one germination and I did your old method.....and got 100%, so my sample size is really small.
