There is the time to be Jolly la la la lalala :)

:laughtwo: Fa la la la la, la la la la.... I haven't had anything yet because I made Carnival brownies and I wanted to start with one of those today.

Leave no cannabinoid behind.

IMG_267318.JPG

They just came out of the oven. The hardest part is waiting for them to cool. Carnival has such a delicious smell. I was tempted to just drink the oil. Haha!

IMG_267516.JPG

I'll have one right before I go Christmas grocery shopping with the daughter. :laughtwo: She's used to the fact that her mother sees life from the perspective of above it all. Lol!

Thank you Woody. Merry Christmas to you and your loving family as well. :hugs:  Next year holds new excitement.

Couldn't wait any longer. *giggle*.

Here I go. :battingeyelashes:

I'll report back before I go out. Water woman! Drink more water. Do it now Susan.

Now!!!

Yeah, you don't really want to be walking around inside my head. :laughtwo: Whoa! What was that shift? It's not been five minutes yet. Oh yeah........ Here we go. Half an hour before I head out. I'll have a good indication of the potency by than. :laughtwo:

As you can discern, I'm feeling pretty darned joyful over here on the banks of the Mighty Monongahela River. My heartfelt hope is that you're keeping up with me in your space. Allow yourself to be joyful. Let it spread like little concentric circles out into the world you pass through. Let's light up the universe with joy my friends. 'This the season to shine.

We had an interesting discussion in the past couple days in the Study Hall about how smoking cannabis will increase the oxygen levels in your blood. The discussion has morphed into breathing techniques that increase the level of CO2, and by doing so increase your blood's ability to hold more oxygen.

We're helping our bodies breathe better. Lol! Let me try for that hit again. It doesn't look quite as intimidating anymore. Lol!
Whatcha talking bout WilliS? Have you went and enrolled in weed smoking 101? Still the same ol brownie eating Sue; How you doing my love? I'm not even going to attempt catching up on anyone's journals as long as I've been gone but I'll just get in where I fit in.

If you cant get the Dr. Bonner's soap, A TSP of Dawn dish washing liquid in the mix works, too, as an emulsifier. When we had the Valdez oil spill in the 80's, wildlife personnel used Dawn to wash the wildlife that got covered in oil. So it has a good rep here.
And you can add a cap-full of hydrogen peroxide to that concoction... Never had mites but it works like magic with gnats.

B A R!!!!

WTH?? Sneaking in here when I'm not looking????

Hello Reg :Love: :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs: :Love:

We might have missed you, just a little, teeny bit. :laughtwo:

Are you back to stay or just to visit?

".....and the universe smiled."

I've been tearing around the apartment all afternoon...... Oh crap! It's almost 8 PM. Eat something other than brownies woman!

Anyway, the Carnival brownies are a delight all their own. A totally different high than smoking the super-potentiated bud. Where the DDA became an intense, palms sweating, heart racing, energetic stratospheric high very akin to speed in plant form. :slide: Carnival is more ethereal, spiritual in a way. I shared at my first Carnival harvest the tendency of this strain to have me doing things like detailing the kitchen. :laughtwo: It's having the same effect this time, but with no frantic edge at all. I am, however, supremely aware of opportunities to increase efficiency in the living space.

As part of this adventure I was putting the neem oil back on its shelf next to the tiny closet when I spotted something at the back of the shelf. "What on earth.....?"

IMG_268115.JPG

"Well I'll be....." it's some DDA4 I'd tossed up here for an early taste and then forgot about. :laughtwo:

IMG_268014.JPG

I'm getting down to grams of the DDAs. This was all I thought I had of DDA4, the best of the batch.

IMG_268216.JPG

Turns out I had a tiny bit more, to bring what's left to 3 grams of delightful future buzzes. :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_268416.JPG

IMG_268317.JPG

Down to 3 grams of DDA4. The others are similar weights. I grow to consume and I'm keeping up with myself. Good signs for the future.

Brownie report: Carnival #2

Let me share a story that perfectly illustrates the effect this delightful strain has when super-potentiated and administered in BioBomb brownies.

This afternoon the daughter and I went to the local grocery to get supplies for our Christmas Eve celebration and for cookie baking. Can't celebrate without at least a couple of the favorite cookies, eh? :battingeyelashes:  What a wonderful shopping trip! I can't recall ever having that much fun gathering groceries in an over-crowded store.

After we chose everything on our list I sent the daughter out to the vehicle to de-stress while I did the checking out. I prefer to bag my own, so off I went to find a slot.

As I'm heading that way I notice a woman having difficulty with the system and having to repeatedly call for assistance. The couple behind her lost patience and pulled out of the aisle. "This looks like my slot" I thought as I slipped into their vacated space.

The woman checking out continued to have problems. This didn't concern me at all. I spent the down time appreciating the decorations the staff had hung for our enjoyment, and as the woman was finishing up I thanked her for taking so long, affording me the opportunity to spend this time in grateful appreciation.

"I appreciate you appreciating that instead of getting frustrated with me taking so long" was her response.

That made me laugh right out loud at the absurdity of me even going there. The laughter encouraged more conversation and before we were done she'd shared that she worked in mental health and this time of the year can be devastating to so many sensitive souls.

We progressed from there to my alerting her to the new thread we have up on joyful living. She's going to give it a glance and check out the site, since she also supports the legalization of cannabis across the board.

We ended our encounter with a couple heart-felt hugs and acknowledgement that we'd made each other's day a little sparkly with joy.

There I was, shopping in an incredibly stress-charged environment, totally at peace with the universe, giving off such a sense of well-being that she commented on it. This is the effect I get from the potentiated Carnival - all's well with the universe. It's been a most excellent day. I started with that brownie at around 12:30. It's been almost eight hours. I have no desire to have any supplementation of the buzz at this point. Still flying waaaaaayyyyy up here above it all. :laughtwo:

The brownies on the right are Carnival. On the left Dark Devil Auto. Spirituality and giggly or speed in plant form.

It's really wonderful to be me. :cheesygrinsmiley: :green_heart:

Weekly Update: Friday, December 23, 2016 - Flowering Tent

Good evening everyone.

I've been baking cookies all day, so I'm a bit late on this. I might make it under the wire. :cheesygrinsmiley: Lets get under way with a stop in the flowering tent. The only occupants are the two mite-challenged clones, Carn1:1 and Carn1:2 (Day 77, Flip + 45, 2nd CAT + 5)

IMG_272112.JPG

Carn1:1 is on the left, Carn1:2 on the right.

IMG_272214.JPG

I'm figuring they have another two weeks, at least. The pistils are changing, but that may be due in large part to the neem oil spray they're getting every three days. Their week has been a flurry of foliars - Sunday and Monday with 50/50 ISO and half-strength DeStress, Wednesday and today with the mite spray and yesterday with Brix.

All in all they're holding up quite well.

A few more shots after the neem and soap foliar. They love this foliar. I can almost hear them giggle with delight. :laughtwo:

IMG_275414.JPG

I haven't seen any signs of the mites expanding their territory. I'm optimistic. The foliar gets repeated again on Monday.

IMG_275518.JPG

IMG_275614.JPG

Looking like candy spearmint leaves. :laughtwo: One of my favorite sights.

IMG_275717.JPG

Next up, the auto tent and the tiny closet. :ciao:

Weekly Update: Friday, December 23, 2016 - Auto tent and tiny closet

It's a good thing there're only two plants in here right now. Carn1:4 is taking up almost all of the available real estate. :laughtwo:

IMG_273322.JPG

She's at Day 71 right now. She had a Brix foliar yesterday with the rest of the kit girls. No drench yet. That'll be tomorrow morning, just plain water.

IMG_273414.JPG

I'm choosing to ignore the curly leaves. She feels healthy and looks like she's doing fine. Chomping at the bit to get into the flowering tent. As soon as the clones in there are harvested the space is hers.

IMG_273718.JPG

IMG_277511.JPG

IMG_277812.JPG

Candy Cane Auto (Day 19) She got the rest of the neem spray dumped into her pot again. I'm only mixing up 250 ml at a time.

Could she be any more tightly-noded? Lol!

IMG_273517.JPG

IMG_273614.JPG

On to the tiny closet.

IMG_273820.JPG

My attempts to get more magnesium into the DDA appears to be working. Her color has improved appreciably.

Dark Devil Auto 5 (Day 40) More than halfway there now.

IMG_273915.JPG

IMG_274012.JPG

Just now showing her colors and starting to build the trichomes. :slide:

IMG_27749.JPG

Emerald (Day 59) She's still hanging in there with me. Tomorrow I'll bump up her nutes again. One of these days it's gonna click and she's going to jump for joy. :laughtwo: is

CBD Critical Cure (Day 22). Like a flash of lightening it hit me yesterday that I don't have the soil on hand to transplant this one into Doc's soil. By the time I get the Pro-Mix, get the soil mixed and give it a month to cook this plant will be over 50 days old. No way will she stay happy in this one-gallon pot. She's going to have to be my last LOS plant. Good. I needed to grow one in LOS anyway, for the sake of comparison.

IMG_27735.JPG

Last group coming up next.

Weekly Update: Friday, December 23, 2016 - Bathroom clones

It's been 12 days since flip. The window sill girls are being reduced to one. Carn1:5 is giving up the ghost.

IMG_274513.JPG

Yep..... She's gone.

IMG_274620.JPG

Carn1:6 continues to grow, despite the rediculous limitations of light and nutrients. I've improved the nutrient portion, but I keep staying up too late to be up early enough to open the curtain before 9 or 10 AM.

She's at Day 71.

IMG_275016.JPG

The clones under actual lights are doing much better.

IMG_275813.JPG

Carn1:3 (Day 74) Next drench she'll get her Recharge topdress. I've started to tie her down a bit to control the distance to the light. She looks like she's enjoying the journey, curled leaves notwithstanding.

IMG_275915.JPG

Here we go. :yahoo:

The rest of the clones got plain water on Wednesday. These are the ones now being fed with the General Hydroponics nutes, and right now, they're the healthiest-looking of the bunch. Hmmmm......

These clones are all 59 days old.

Theyre fairly indistinguishable from each other. I tend to look at them at one big plant. I didn't notice until right now that they arranged themselves into a heart shape. :laughtwo: Is this some cosmic message I keep getting? Lol!

IMG_277011.JPG

I'm looking at a decent harvest out of this impromptu space. I'm paying extra for the power too, but not so much more that it's inconvenient. Things are moving along nicely.

IMG_277115.JPG

That's the nickel tour. I thank you for stopping to admire and share in the joyful journey. :battingeyelashes:  Feel free to ask any questions. It's Friday night. Let loose people. I'm done for the night. Time to get wasted. :slide:

I'll hope to be seeing you around the yards. Until then

:Namaste:

I've been so high all day. Lol! I'm sitting here now, stiff and sore, wondering where my day went? :hmmmm:

Then I remember, once again, that I spent it standing in the kitchen baking cookies. :laughtwo:

That's how high I've been. I can't remember what I did with the day and there's a stack of cookies staring at me as I wonder.

What was the temperature in the window where the Carn died? Windows are notoriously drafty, esp in winter.

This plant wasn't sitting close to the window AKgramma. These windows were installed less than five years ago. They don't let much air through at all.

It's a stumper to me on the curl as I know you know how to water properly and nitrogen curl shouldn't be an issue with Kit soil. They look like they are. Using nonetheless, does carnival maybe have pheno where this just happens?

Also...
Spread the word Holiday smokathon!

Holiday Smokathon 2016-2017 Dec 24-Jan 1st

It is a stumper Shiggity. I understand that it's cutting into my potential yield. Thankfully I have enough growing that I don't have to be concerned about that.

It shows up in all three environments, but I've noticed it was limited to the kit soil. Something was off in this soil, and barring having it tested it's easier to start over. I ordered the bale of Pro-Mix last night. By New Year's Eve I'll be mixing a new batch. This time I keep better records on my soil and play the game properly from the beginning. After a year of messing around it's finally time to document in my own garden the potential of this system.

I keep thinking of how much easier my life will be with this one system of growing. Well, I might keep playing with hempy. :cheesygrinsmiley:

A very good morning to ya Susan! OK Sue...that's it...why am i still seeing those curled leaves ??? I agree with Shiggs on his thoughts of a bad pheno. If ya wanna keep growing a Carnival, why don't ya try another pheno of it. I'm almost tempted to grow a couple , just to show how the leaves should really look. Other people grow that strain without that major curling issue. It must piss ya off by now Sue....why not just lose that pheno and try another. that strain would do sooo much better if it grew out properly and naturally....those curled leaves are NOT natural and i believe , as you said , it is hurting the yield and the overall general health of those plants. Anyhow , i know i may seem a lil harsh but , it seems every time i come over for a visit , all i see are those fu...n shitty looking leaves.....lose that pheno, and really enjoy the strain as it should grow ,...without stressed , curled leaves.
OK, there , i feel better now...i think,...:tokin: have a very Merry Christmas Sue.....oh ya ...it's gettin really close now eh! Cheers !
