The Perpetual Healing Garden - SweetSue's Joyful Return

Rifleman, if I had to purchase the amount of cannabis that satisfies my personal need, I'd be in a bad, bad way. :laughtwo:

I work more conservatively with my figures. I start assuming I'm getting 150 MG of cannabinoids per gram of cannabis. You can get around 200, but I have no way of testing, so I back off and give myself the deduction for not really understanding what I'm doing yet.
So 150 MG per gram X 8 grams = 1200 mg in the pan. Figuring 10% of that as THC, I'm at 120 mg of THC in that pan, divided by the 8 brownies I cut them into and we arrive at approximately 15 mg THC per brownie, or 7.5 per half, should I choose to split the dose. Potentiated by the liposomal encapsulation of the liquid sunflower lecithin and we have some powerful brownies here.
I make my brownies with sativa-dominant strains. I assure you, my Biobomb brownies will definately NOT put you into daze of any kind. These babies are almost like a hit of speed for me. You're using the wrong strains or the wrong recipe.
When I make them they're an eight day supply. Every batch I think "I can play with that extra day." Today I couldn't resist the urge.

Using your math equation my brownies come out at 13.125mg ea. Indica dominant recipe as I need calming most of the time. I've been told I'm intense.

That's the reason I grow. There's no way I could afford to buy what I use.

Intense, huh? No way!

Sue,

If I understand corectley, you are using 8g of bud per pan and dividing the batch into 8 squares. I would figure milagrams per bar like this. 8 gram of bud devided by 8 bars = 1g per bar. 1g of bud would have 10 to 20% THC.10 to 20% of 1g is 100 to 200mg of THC per bar.

Eatables are dosed at 10 to 20mg THC or CBD per "serving" in NM.

Or I could be wrong.

Canyon..... :hugs:

You are so right my friend. I confused myself with total cannabinoids and total THC. The formula should have been what you suggested and I'm really getting about 150 mg of THC in each full brownie, and 75 mg in each half dose.

:slide: That sound more like what I'm feeling. :slide:

Rifleman, you need to recalculate. You're much more heavily medicated than we thought.

Canyon, do they really believe that a 10mg dose is effective for many of us? I can see micro dosing for those who aren't what we like to call "old stoners," or someone who doesn't want anything to do with euphoria (poor souls), but a 10 mg dose for someone like me would be a wast of good cannabis. Why do we put up with this insanity?

Colorado is limited to 10mg dosage, ten to a package($20/100mg) for recreational. I believe medical dosage per piece can be higher.

So my original calculation was closer to the truth. I use 56g to 28oz coconut oil. From that I get 5 batches of 16 brownies each. 2g per oz, roughly 6oz per brownie batch. I also use 2 tbsp soy lecithin per batch. Why even bother if it doesn't spin your head and make you see Angels? :riskybusiness:

Update: Flowering Tent - Friday, December 2, 2016

We have a lot to cover, so let's get this show on the road. I broke it up into segments, by grow space. There's just too much for a single update.

Carnival #2 is at Day 129, 49 days into her flowering stage, 15 days since her second CAT. She had an Energy drench on Tuesday, and she'll get a Brix foliar first thing tomorrow morning.

The Carn1 clones in here with her - Carn1:1 and Carn1:2 - are now 56 days old and 24 days into flowering. They also got Energy drenches on Tuesday and also got their recharge top dressings. Their next drenches will be their first CATs. I'm pretty sure they're almost done setting their buds.

On to the pretty pictures. :battingeyelashes:

Carnival #2 Oh does she smell delightful! Those of you lucky enough to have grown a carnival know what I mean. She's getting close and taking on a deep, rich tone to the fragrance. Absolutely yummy! :laughtwo:

There's more to the smaller buds than you suppose.

A couple more weeks and the big girl will be done. It looks like she's going to cooperate with me and ride all the way to the end.

Next up, autos.

Update: Autos and Companions - Friday, December 2, 2016

Theres gonna come a day when all that's in my auto tent and tiny closet will be autos, but that day isn't this one, so let's take a look in on everyone else except the clone shelf.

Starting off in the auto tent, my most challenging environment. I'm about to throw in the towel here and get another fan and filter setup for this tent. It's rediculous to have to leave the flap open to keep temperatures manageable. I'll give it more thought. I'll have to make money materialize, but that's never stopped me before, so it's certainly not gonna stop me now.

The DDA sprout gave up the ghost overnight. None of us really expected anything different, did we? That's two failed attempts with DDA, both my fault. I decided to listen to the canna gods and dropped a CKS Candy Cane Auto seed to take its place in that prepared pot tomorrow. Both LOS pots in here got a stinging nettle ACT drench yesterday. Once I get the Candy Cane started I'll top the pot with some EWC.

Carn1:4 (Day 50) Training like a champ. Very well-behaved up to now.

IMG_211718.JPG

Lots of nice new growth coming along.

IMG_211822.JPG

Train Wreck Auto (Day 42). This is the second disappointing Crop King Seed that I've grown. I have another coming along next. Sooner or later I'm gonna figure these out.

I think part part of the problem with them might be this.

IMG_216826.JPG

IMG_216926.JPG

I have no way of knowing how often this unit malfunctions. I'm surprised, and very pleased, that the Carn clone keeps doing as well as she has, but it's fairly obvious that this light isn't doing my autos any good at all. And so we wait patiently for the universe to realign and fix this dilemma.

IMG_211919.JPG

Yes, she has thrips, poor dear. She got her first spinosad bath two days ago. The next is scheduled for tomorrow. This time I don't let up until the pot comes out of the tent. Every three days like clockwork until the buggers are eradicated.

Moving on to the tiny closet.

IMG_212521.JPG

DDA5 (Day 19) She got FIMmed on Wednesday. It looks like it might have taken. Still too early to see. She also had a nettle drench yesterday.

IMG_212624.JPG

IMG_212728.JPG

Don't you just love the shiny leaves that grow under this Timber Vero240? You see what I mean about the FIM. Too early yet.

IMG_212934.JPG

Emerald (Day 38) Sad looking, isn't she? Part of that is because she's desperately thirsty. I mixed up a fresh batch of nutrients, flushed her really well and gave her something to carry her through. This Lucas Formula isn't impressing me yet, but I'm still learning the ropes, and she's not dying, but rather trying hard to please me, so I press on. I can't quit in the middle. If I do all I learned is how to quit in the middle when it gets frustrating. Not like me at all.

IMG_213024.JPG

IMG_213130.JPG

IMG_213226.JPG

Here she is a while later, after she had something to drink and looking a little less ragged. I have some special seeds coming and when I get them I'm gonna start another hempy and do it correctly, right from the beginning.

I don't know if I ever shared this, but right before I ran into PeeJay and then COorganics and got sucked into living soils Dale and I were preparing to start setting up for hydro. So this little adventure in hempy keeps pulling me back in that direction. No telling what the future may hold. For now I'm barely keeping my head above water in any medium, but I'm still plugging away, determined to catch up somewhere along the way.

This is sure is fun though, isn't it? :cheesygrinsmiley:

IMG_216528.JPG

I'm assuming this is the CBD Critical Cure. It bears no resemblance balance to a DDA seedling, and I must have shifted it in the cup when I extracted the DDA seed. Quite frankly, this is the star, from this point on. This is my daughter's meds. This plant has top priority from the moment she pushed her way above the soil line yesterday morning.

I present CBD Critical Cure #2 (Day 2)

IMG_213328.JPG

And that's the end of this group. One more to go.

Update: Carnival Clone Shelf - Friday, December 2, 2016

Alright, down to the end. I just love this view. :laughtwo:

IMG_216729.JPG

My window darling, looking pretty damned good, if I may say so. She seems to like the window. I love the way she looks there.

Carn1:6 (Day 50) All of the LOS clones in here got the nettle ACT drench yesterday.

Carn1:3 (Day 50) She had a Transplant drench on Tuesday. She's light enough today she'll probably get another drench tomorrow. I like the way she's structuring. I took the time to spread her out a bit with some stakes. She thanked me for it with some nice new growth.

I'm not entirely convinced yet that I can keep the LOS pots stable through a harvest, but I'm sure gonna try. :laughtwo: Every time I take them out for closer inspection I'm more impressed. Maybe I'll pull this off after all guys. Lol! I've learned that it's one thing to root a clone and another to grow it through. What a fun hobby. ok, I'm done. Time for that buzz I've been putting off as a reward for getting this posted. :woohoo: Dark Devils, here I come! :slide:

I'll be out there wandering in just a bit. A little daughter time first. :circle-of-love:

I honestly don't see what you think is bad with the hempy girl. Ive had girls that i totally forgot to water and when i did check on them i was horrified by what i saw which was a flopped over crispy rapidly yellowing poor little plant and guess what! It bounced back and produced a harvest of 37g dry. So don't you pull that hempy cause she's got alot more umph to her then you think! Sorry for the tough love but i think you are doing just fine with your hempy girl!

What a timely piece of tough love it is lexort. :hugs::hugs::hugs:

After I posted that I went over and looked at her and decided to take a more positive attitude about her from now on. Thank you for the encouragement. She doesn't look too bad right now, actually. Lol!

Exactly! Your doing very well for still being fresh to hempys just gotta keep the positivity going!

I just realized that the most recent update on the gallery made it possible to load in multiple photos from my devices.

Is there any update to this? It didn't work for me. Did you hallucinate this, or what?

I'm using an iphone6 Weaselcraker. Which model do you use? I loaded today's update photos, all eight pages in the gallery of them, in less than ten minutes. When you mentioned it didn't work for you I was beginning to wonder if I hadn't smoked too much DDA. :laughtwo:

Yes you smoke too much dark devil auto ;) But regardless, I also used an iPhone 6, and saw no difference from the way things didn't work in the past. I can choose multiple pics, they appear to upload, then only one shows up in the gallery.
Somewhere there is a 420 iPhone issues thread. I posted there asking about the multiple uploads weirdness but got no reply. I'll go seek it out I guess.

You've loaded in the latest IOS update? I'd done that right about the time the site did the last maintenance shut down. Then I was pleasantly surprised to discover this new function on my phone.

I shoot them with my Samsung 5, email them to myself and then batch upload them from the computer. Takes 5 minutes from shooting till uploaded at most.:circle-of-love::peace:

I upload multiple pictures directly from the S5 (using a Chrome browser window) and make my posts using a samsung tablet. I avoid 'mobile' sites on my mobile devices, I use the full sites.

Ahhh.
No I haven't uploaded that one- because it was pissing me off with its constant notifications pressuring me to update.
I'll do that now if my crummy cell service allows it.

Thanks for the laugh. :laughtwo: That's the very reason I put it off so long with my own phone. You know, someone got a bonus for coming up with that idea. Lol!
