I am a newbe to growing and I have read in several forums not to mess with autoflowers. I did not understand this as my mother was an avid flower grower and she always cut her flowers back to increase the number of flowers put off, I did not really understand why this did not apply to autoflowers but supposedly these guys knew what they were talking about!! LOL
I read this forum last night and also topped my girl last night! I wish I had ran across this sooner. I saw the first signs of true leaves on 12-02 and that made her 15 days old and had four nodes. I topped just above it, I wasn't sure to top this way or back to the 3rd. node. I opted to keep the growth. Was I correct or should I have topped back to just above the 3rd. node?
I am growing FastBuds Six Shooter in a DWC setup. I am growing indoors and have only been able to grab a cheap light here and there so my lighting is inadequate. I hope to be able to buy good LED light by June.

Looks very good have you had a ph problem? I am also grow a Dec for the first time... Doing a trial run and I also had a clear res and I started to get algae rowing in my tank. Just a thought...I just want to thank you for this thread!

Unless the peroxide will work and I can get through this grow with peroxide without hurting her. Any advice is appreciated!What kind of water are you using? I would strongly recommend using z7 water conditioner. It helps prevent algae, pH spikes, and helps your plants take the nutrients better. Without it your plant only takes about 30 percent of the nutrients you give her. Z7 makes sure your plants benefit fully with what you want to give her. It cost pennies per dosage as well. Flying skull z7 water conditioner if you want to research or purchase it. Way better then peroxide...I started getting algae that I noticed today. Could I add 6 teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide to the res, 6 gal of water in there, or should I just build another? I know that I should build another, just strapped right now. I do want to protect her though!
I have had a problem with keeping the Ph stable also. I lower it and it wants to climb higher on me. This sounds like I definitely need to paint it black or build another dark reservoir. Don't want the paint around my baby so I guess I answered my own question! Actually your questions answered it!

I used black tape to tape up my lil res. Plus I use it on my hempy pots the ones i make out of 2liters r good if they r green i dnt tape those ones but anything clear gets the black tape and so on lolI started getting algae that I noticed today. Right lol i got my hempy clones in an empty mountain dew 2liter with the top cut off and a hole popped in the side.
