Maybe 6.2-6.4 PH range then?Phosphorus and potassium are both taken up at the lower end of the ph range. Calcium uptakes best at a little higher ph range.
Anybody know if this grow light will do?
So, 2 Purple Kush Autos. Should be an 8-10 week strain. Going on 12 weeks now. No amber. Pistoles are starting to color and recede a bit. In coco with pearlite, Advanced nutes Sensi bloom pH Perfect, 400 watt HPS, 74 degrees, 30% humidity. Switched from CFL to the HPS about halfway through flowering. Leaves turning yellow and crispy on one plant pheno and the other is turning dark purple. I almost killed them twice in the early part of their life. They were stunted but came back. Seem to be stalled and just hanging out. Keeping them watered and just stopped giving them nutes. Thoughts? Should they be taking this long? Thanks.
Yeah. Its weird. It makes me think that when you top an auto, it stunts it a bit, but will finish a little later than the same pheno strain that wasn't topped. Makes me think this "timeline" we think autos are on is actually a little flexible. Perhaps it's more of an immunity to the photo period than a ridged time line that once started, cannot be changed. I just started growing, but have been reading a lot and to see a couple autos taking 12-14 weeks to finish seems unhead of.

my autos will finish in 2-4 weeks, topped 1/2 of autos and not other 1/2. will let you know, looks like fun from here
1. I have read through most of this whole thread. and I have seen a few people mention Fimming, but have not seen any results posted of this being done. is Fimming possible? or should autoflowers be only topped?
2. Secondly, I have 4 plants in a 2x4 tent using 2 400w COB LED, 2 Dinafem MobyDick XXL Autos and 2 Mephisto Sour Bubbly Autos, They are in their 4th Week, 2 of the plants are thriving and 2 are going very slow, Each Strain has a large and small plant(all planted at the same time) the 2 larger ones are at 6th node and the 2 small ones are at the 3rd node. I want to Fim the larger ones, should I do it at the 4th node and re plant the tops with rooting powder. Or do i Fim at the 6th node?
3. Also, should i top the smaller plants at all, wait till they start to thrive or just get larger?
Any Help or input with these questions would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
It's looks like she's ready to be topped Askhole, I Top as soon as the forth node is clear enough to get snippers in there to do the deed. With autos it needs to be done by day 21 at the latest, usually right around day 14. It depends on the strain and grow conditions but most are done at the two week mark. If you can get the snippers in, then it's time. Post a pic once you've chopped that top off, steady hands make things easier in tight spots. Goodluck Askhole, you'll do great!
KiG cheers
Never FIM on an autoflower it slows them down too much. Some have claimed to have done it but with little success in yield.I wouldnt top at 4 weeks, topping should be done around 14 days to give the plants plenty of time to recover before they go into flower. Fimming will really slow them them down, ive only topped so far so cant advise on fimming.
