The New Autoflower Topping Thread

I've had so much inspiration and guidance from fellow growers here regarding topping autoflower plants. Although It's not an exact science it can be done and can bring huge yields. Every autoflower strain is different and therefore hard to judge how long a veg period they'll have. For instance, I've had some show pistils by day 20 and some who haven't started flower until week 6 or 7. It's a relative when it comes to topping autos. It's very important to know your strain and it's possible length of vegetation in order to confidently top them in their seedling stage as the 4th node clears enough space to do the deed.
I've got lots of experience with many strains of autos and the training involved with getting a good yielding plant. So with that said I want to open up the discussion and hope we can continue the auto topping adventure. Please feel free to leave examples and ask questions if you are in need of answers or guidance. I will, to the best of my ability, keep up with this thread and help out where I can. You all know me for my extensive auto training, so don't be shy to ask for help.

Hey man I topped my auto when the fourth node was already established. She's a monster now. I topped one plant and left the other un-topped to see the difference in yield and growth. Plants are 47 Days old from seed. Strain is White widow Auto. Do you think I'll get more yield from the topped plant ? And plants are flowering but no buds yet. how long do you think before I harvest? Here are some pics below.

Also put your cell inside the pit and try to get a view of the main . But usually topping I believe us between 14-21 they recommend might be wrong.

Sorry to high jack you angel and hondo. I just topped my candy cane auto it's day 21 Friday 4th node.

Yes if that is the third nod at least better if fourth or fifth. But that little green leaf see how one set goes zone way the other once grows above goes other way that on the middle is where you'll take it pinch it up . And cut it accordingly. Make sure you take enough but not too much. I screwed up twice on two nyc diesel s nothing has grown in s month on mains. I heard those plants ate dumb sensitive though . Maybe angel has a video or pic to show. Penny would explain so much better. Hmm.

I can see that being okay. I'm waiting til forth set vines in nyc diesel u think last time I took it at three maybe to early.

Ok looks like you are on your third node correct? I would say wait until 4th node and take the top off. Remember don't FUCK I MISSED aka fim her. Just take a pair of scissors clean them with rubbing alcohol. Yes you will want to sterilize them, after all you are doing surgery and cut the top off. It will look drab for a few days. That is normal. It will recover rather quickly.
 
Looks like that middle growth via the fourth coming pinch both ends and snip . With sterilized snips. Few days you'll know of you topped at right spot.
