The New Autoflower Topping Thread

Had to go away for work and this is the result. Oh well they're still kicking just not thriving the way they were.

I've started Royan Creamatic, Blue Cheese and 2x THC Bomb all autos and was planning on topping 1 of the THC Bombs N compare the final outcome as everything else would be the same. But not to sure when to top them. Their still only babies just been readin this thread the past couple a nights N thought I'd give it a go.

From what I read, it's about the range between 6-7 as different nutrients are getting absorbed best at diffferent levels.
From what I remember seeing a graph visualizing this, 6.5 is ideal because it covers all nutrients, however some are at the lowest availability and others at the highest. If my memory is not failing here, 6.5 was the lower end for potassium, so if you see deficiency, it's better to give 6.7-6.8 or even flush to that pH in soil so potassium will get absobed better. That's how I fixed my problems during flowering recently.
 
Nice to see the auto topping thread is busy as ever. I've been super busy with work and all but I've got 4 of my 5 auto white widows harvested. Pulling an average of 2oz per plant... Including one that died on me.

Keep those great examples of topping and their result at harvest coming. We're proving to world that autos love to be topped.

Ok, in my room I have never been able to run over 600w because of heat. So I have added an air conditioner, now I can run 1000w and stay around 82° F. I noticed last night my leafs are curling, I would think it's just from the intensity of the light. So should I lift the light or just drop to 875w?

In my very humble opinion, they look a little too small to top. The recommendation, I believe, is to top when the fourth set of true leaves is clear enough from the 3rd node so that you can actually get in there. Maybe someone can confirm this? I am still really new to be giving advice.

Yea, I read to top the next node after the forth true set leaves. I know I've got a week or 2 left before I give it a bash. This is only my 4th grow 2nd from auto seed. It's a bit harder to judge the flowering time on autos, on my last grow (got bout 3/4 9wks left) I started feeding them flowering nutes when I noticed the 1st white hairs growing from the flower.

That is what I'm doing on my first true fourth node start topping or fimming.
