The Mountain: Grow Support From The Over 50 Club

It should improve with time.
did you flush at the end of flower?
If not you could do a water cure and re-dry it,
but I'd leave that for a last resort.
Get a vaporizer.

Hey, thanks dadums. I did not flush, but also did not give any fertilizer after about the beginning of August. I'm holding out for the flavor improving with time. How would you suggest I cure using glass jars? Am I opening them often or long enough?
BTW, a hygrometer placed inside the jars reads 65 percent humidity.

Can anyone look at this and tell me what I've got here? This plant (I call her my "gifted wild child") was given to me by a friend of a friend. I look at this and can't figure out what's going on with this plant? Before I tried my first LST she was almost 2" tall and had 3 main stalks. The branches seemed to me to be very sparse. I clipped and bent over all three of the main stalks. :peace:

BEATEO, what do you mean when you ask "what it is?" Are you looking for a strain name, sub-species, sex? None of which questions I have any answers to...but least least I'm trying.

Dear sparknshred. All budd needs to be cured. Think of your budd like a fine wine that needs to be aged . You need to remove the lids for one hour in the morning and then again in the early evening . Always and I mean always store your weed in a cool dark room if possible. Also when you are growing in the flowering stage this is the time to add sweetener or molasses and this makes a difference how your budd is going to taste once you start to flower. Hope this helps. Grandmas molasses is what I use. In grow stores you will find a lot of choices for sweeteners personally I go to the grocery store and buy the extracts in the baking aisle. I add one half ounce for every 5 gallons of water my plants really love it and when we smoke our plants the taste and smell is AMAZING! Good luck.

Thanks, BJMAES. I'll open the jars more frequently. They're in a cool dark place, like you said.
As to artificially sweetening or flavoring weed...natural is good enough for me. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
Welcome to the club! You been sworn in yet? Dadums!!

Oh, wait, this isn't the Over 50 board, it's the Mountain. Silly me. If you're an old timer like me come join us there.

Sworn in? Explain. Please.

There is an Over-50 Club board, for us old farts and curmudgeons, and new members are sworn in by the Rev. Mr. dadums. It's all in fun. If you qualify as an old fart or curmudgeon, come join us over there.
I am doing what you suggested, and opening the jars twice a day for an hour. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks again.

Now we gotta get on with the business at hand, namely a new wanna be. We have very strict criteria to meet to become a member of our exclusive club.
#1...Not of sound mind. He proved that by wanting to join our exclusive club, he, he, he.
#2...Live by the club’s one and only rule.
.......We tell no fibs, no half truths, no little white lies, no white lies, no half baked lies, no bold faced lies, no down right lies, no lies in any way, shape or form. FYI, no one has been caught, don’t be the first one. Now this been due to, but not limited to, hearing loss, failing eyesight, brain farts, senior moments (many of `em), but mostly due to a "who gives a shit" attitude. Now comes the part us old farts and curmudgeons like the most. Find a sittin` spot and partake with us in some of "Mother Nature’s" finest medicinal herbs. Only one thing left to do. You gotta move to Curmudgeon land, the ancestral home of the Over 50 Club members. You will forever more be known as an old fart and curmudgeon. Congrats, he, he, he, he.

Greetings mountaineers, I have accidentally gone and got wrigglers in my pots, I was going to add mycos but I know worms have there own bacteria, I don't suppose anyone knows if worm bacteria will do the same job as the mycos? Thank you in advance for any help.

Not the same Pearl. Fungi and bacteria both good and needed. I replied to your question at Over 50 thread.

SparkNShred, First.. thanks a bunch for at least acknowledging my post! :) When I look at this plant that was given to me, I see something that looks absolutely nothing like the 3 plants I started from seed. I'm wondering whether this plant is even worth keeping? My other 3 are full of thick growth, color is very nice and they just give an overall impression of healthy plants! This one... well, it's very sparse, tons of distance between the "branches", If I would count every leaf on this plant, I'm betting it wouldn't add up to the leaf count of 1 or 2 branches on any of my other plants?? I guess I'm trying to figure out what's different about this plant?? I know there's no way to determine the strain by looking at a picture, and sex when it's not in flower, just wondering why it looks so different? :peace:

hey everyone I got a seriouse powdery mildew issue could really use some help. was told spray it with hydrogen peroxide which I did and it didnt get rid of it or even stop it from spreading. its also outside and I am too scared to bring it in because I just started new plants in my grow room the other day and would be pissed if it spread to them. any help/suggestions would be great. thanks

Don't treat the PM. Treat the CAUSE of the PM.
A little voice in my head just said "What is the cause?"
And to that voice I say, "Hey, I'm on meds to keep from hearing you ... but, wtf, it's a good question so ..."

The cause is more than likely environmental. That is, your room is too humid, and warm. Get the room humidity down to about 50% or less and your plants will be healthier. Either by air conditioning, or dehumidifying ... but, do it.

I'm going back to arguing with the voices in my head now.
