True. The sooner people quit giving the whole Amino Acid thing way more credit than necessary and instilling mythical powers to it, the better. Of the 100% of 4 elements are completely Amino chelated (Zn, Fe, Cu, Mn) , how often are we talking about deficiencies in any of those 4? Rarely, even with EDTA. Aminos might have a slightly greater range, from 7 with EDTA to 7.5 pH with Aminos, but in most cases does that matter? In hydro/coco, you're pHing well below 7 to begin with. In soil-less your medium is likely buffered to 5.8 (ie Pro-Mix or Sunshine Mix). If you really wanted the chelator with the absolute widest range we'd be talking EDDHA which has an effective range out to 9.0 pH which blows Aminos off the map. But its expensive, and as already covered, we really don't need anything over 7, so what's the point in spending the extra cash for it? Using aminos is a good business model for Greenleaf and is has absolutely nothing to do with superior quality or performance. EDTA has been banned in some Western European countries and in Australia. If you want the ability to expand into those markets (which they have in Europe) then you use a different chelator.

one thing that everyone forgets to mention :
there are bottle nutes available that do not use edta.
MC makes a big deal out of edta in other nutrient lines. they leave it to us to make the assumption that all of the other lines use them. that is very clever, is simply not true, and helps make them more money.
the one thing that holds true is value for money. MC is dirt cheap bang for the buck.
that is the one best reason to use it. it's also a happy accident that it works well and is probably made of slightly better stuff.
everything else is a sideshow.

uh oh, sorry horse, this got lost in the penny drama. mc does not build up in the same fashion as most nutes.
short answer : follow your heart on this one, there are guys all over the map on this. you can treat mc as any other nute, and flush as usual if that is your process, and what you are all comfy with.
i grow in hempy which is similar. (insert lecture as to why better.... lol)
what i do is feed through the whole grow, and once i decide i'm in the chop window i go to water only for the last 3 days.
i do this directly with MC. hope that helps.
i messed up on my clone run this time. last run was 22 of 24 making it to veg - i'm 12 on 20 for this one, and totally forgot a foliar until super late. stupid life. a couple of the 12 are questions at this point as well.
only growing 6 - 8 out. the rest i'm gifting out. next clone run i'm gonna do a mini tutorial on cloning easy hempy cup style on MC alone. once they catch you can transplant easy to any media. my best clones this run are all done this way and are all looking for up pot already.

1) One single product from start to finish, very easy and simple to manage, dose and mix and contains a wide array of macro and micro nutrients, all on its own and effective at growing large high quality plants.
2) Very cost effective when compared to a larger bottled line up of comparable nutrient contents
3) Forgiving PH range and well absorbed by plants
4) NOT organic, but free of EDTA which as bluter said is banned in some places
As far as the details and theories and arguments on why or what does this or that, salt based or not salt based, chelated with dinosaur midochrondia for maximum dispersion through root zone fairies - all good discussions and debates until they go on and bury decent posts or posts asking for help - it’s simple, cheap and effective.
