The Mars Hydro FC4800, Prescription Blend And Weed Seeds Express 3x Sponsored Grow: The Amazon Pt I: A Flowering Paradise

You know what Rex is thinking about how to get it done in DWC!!! Actually, we are now trying to get a few different people on board that all have different growing mediums and environments to do some droughting journals so we can get an idea of how to accomplish this no matter what grow environment you have! I'll be doing a soil one my next girl to go into drought and Rex is going to be posting the one he did for hydroton within the next few days!
Dang Thant sounds nice I’m definitely giving it a whirl this coming up run !! I would think a sharp eye can spot the benefits fast !!

As I tell everyone, it is a controlled drought so at any point you want to say stop, stop. You won't know unless you try. How I found out I don't like escargot or caviar despite all the $$ behind them.....but this, this is just something different. This is the good stuff and it doesn't cost a thing! Probably another reason why it isn't so well known-no one to market it and make money off it!

Wow didn’t kno that !!!! So if I’m in my flood table I should turn off for a few days ? I know dwc would be hard to do

most coco and hempy grows drought themselves, especially later in the grow. you can stretch time between feedings by an extra 12 - 24 hrs early on, by mid flower they are dead dry within 12hrs after feeding.

How about towards the end of the grow when you would normally drought? I was told that we don't go by the mediums amount of dryness but again by the LWA (wilted leaf angle). Drought a coco or hempy until you reach that 50% paat turgid state and then water. I'm curious to see how long it takes for the plant to reach that point in that medium

Good morning from the overnight flower tenters! Be back with the rest!

Depends on size of pots and how much you give them. I'm in 10 gallons and I get 2 days maximum. On 3rd day leaves are drooping. I explained it's just not possible to do a 7 day drought in Coco. The roots would be destroyed completely and recovery would be impossible.

in hempy or coco it doesn't matter how much you give them, as long as the feeding takes place in a single session, and isn't drip administered or a constant filling res.

if you go by leaf droop as a signal, you'll see it in those media every 24 hrs or so from mid flower on. throw an extra 12 - 24hrs in if you wanna go extreme. much past that and you will begin to experience root necrosis.

edit : all of this is assuming your media is fully locked by the roots in flower.

I am a virgin to coco and no nothing of it other than it needs a lot of water...I am personally unsure of how the how to drought or attempt one in coco but we don't know until we try just like with anything else...the medium will obviously cause the drought stipulations to be adjusted

Yeah I'm on day 10 of flower and I'm at 48 hours now. Used to get 72. Can easily see that hitting 1 day in a few weeks. I probably have droughted by accident more than once in Coco haha. There's always a point where they are like 1 and half days. But I won't feed after the 6 hour mark of 12 so they have to wait for the next day. At more than one point each plant will get a bit of leaf droop but never on purpose ands never for more than a day. My Coco/perlite is a solid root ball. I'm at the point when I water I have to splash first then continue otherwise It just runs to the sides. I can't go much drier.

Hey guys guess what I did? I lifted up G forgetting she would be lighter and lifted her up right into the fan and clipped off a 3 day droughted bud, oops!! I trimmed her up...now to put the baby down for a nap!

Damn them buds are STACKED

At what point do you take off al the fans and such?

Let's check out G's Day 3 Drought frost shall we?

Speaking of drought....when you are droughting and your pot is light as can be while your buds are heavy as can be...you will topple...

With that said, I had to use some pully strings to hold G upright. Actually worked out well, haven't had to do that yet in this tent since my last photoperiod 5 gl drought was Ammy back in August-the autos probably could have used some but the had a low enough center of gravity especially when you have 7 plants touching your pot to keep you upright...I couldn't risk G falling over onto my girls...
