I've done the same.. had my two watering cans that I water with and mixed both batches of nutes in one of them... or I thought I did.. scrapped it all to be safe.
That's the killer those thought you did moments...shit, did I or didn't I....eh fuck it empty em and start over...happens every now and then...

I have learned to sit down first and use a calculator to calculate number of milliliters of nute to total water gals, hand write the total nute concentrations on paper for each nute in a list and then go by the list crossing off as I go. I have the nute bottles all in a large bin, as I use one I place it outside the bin (keeps me from forgetting -..."did I add that or not?". Only way to keep track for this old head. :ganjamon:

I barely have one free hand when I'm mixing. I think some days I've used my big toe as a thumb with the baby on my leg pulling at my pants  I'm lucky to be able to do that task at all during the day without counting the word Blippi as something I need to add to the jug

You can always get several milk jugs and pre-mix each component separately in your "free time" (acknowledging that fact that you have probably no free time and no privacy from the two-year old whirling derby). Maybe late at night, when you are thinking about it, pre-mix some components and just then dump each jug in when you make a "whole mix". Can't store it that long but a Mom in a busy world might need to throw it together once-in-a-while.

Why waste nute, it's expensive!

I have a large syringe (minus needle) I bought online that has graduated marks in 5 milliliters increments. I attached a skinny plastic hose to the end to reach into the bottom of nute bottles. I just stick it in the bottles, suck up what I need, expel to air bubble, and squirt it into the mix water bin. After I squirt it then suck/squirt the mix a couple of times to free it of concentrate. Paper towel dry the outside. It has a 60ml capacity. You can find larger ones online if you need to.

I got tired of spilling my "precious fluids"! They are dang expensive ...LOL! Plus, some of them are intensely colored and stain things like tables, chairs, floors, carpets, pets...LOL...if you spill them!

For smaller volumes I have an graduated eyedropper that has a 1.0ml capacity and is marked in 0.1ml increments.

For that medium-sized volume, I have a turkey baster that has graduated marking in ml's that is 25ml marked in milliliter increments.

For those liquid amendments (yucca, liquid kelp, liquid iron, liquid micro-nutes, etc.) that give units in English measures, I have a shot glass that is marked in graduations on all sides that shows different increments - ml's, tsp's, tbsp's, and oz's.

Another way to do it is: If you pour your concentrated nutes in plastic squeeze bottles it is easier to manage. Like the kind catsup and mustard come in in restaurants. They have a nice little cap and everything and come in diff colors (if you like that sort of thing). You can get them at the Dollar store. Just mark them so you know which is which.

I tried doing that because I have a 1.5L watering can so I had to convert everything from Gallons. Ended up using the nutrient manufacturer website that has a built in calculator. I can only hope it's accurate!

I would mess up your method completely. I'm way to ADD

I have seven 420 gals in flower in 5-gal and 7-gal fabric bags. I need 8 to 11-gals of nute each time at least to get 20% to waste (using a peat/perlite blend). I use a 15-gal bin for mixing. I put a small sump pump in the bottom connected to a long plastic hose. I connect the pump cord to a "hand-fob" remote control on/off outlet. I push the fob "on" - water a pot - push the fob "off" - move to the next pot. I go around little by little until I have wetted the media and collect the runoff from the under trays with a shop vac.

You have so many working systems...you must have notes all over the place!! I like that!

Little focus tonight on the ever growing G...

Threw in her younger day time tent friends at the end, Onyx and Gigi...

Bubs is crazily dense and as noted began her drought today.

With that note, I wanted to say that this upcoming week I will probably only be doing 1 update a day as I will be turning my focus on reading through and taking a lengthy amount of notes from the 30 pages of droughting information I have received from @Maritimer.

I know everyone here has kind of come to know me as the Mother Earth grower as I'm not well read on any of the sciences or do the math or any serious calculations on my grows. I treat my grows as I would my cooking-I take ideas from everywhere I can get them and make my own concoction.

Problem is, that can be hard to teach and to pass on. I want to keep learning and growing so that I can share this information with everyone. I am hoping that my relatability and my "just a girl riding the green wave" mentality will help to ease the heaviness that this information is going to bring.

It is detailed, it is cumbersome and it is enlightening. I'm excited to share this with you as well all harness the powers that droughting has to offer our 420.

In order for me to properly do that, I need to spend quality time reviewing and asking questions I may have before presenting this amazing stress technique to you all.

I may be less present in the forefront but I will be in the background doing a lot of work this upcoming week-with ambitions of helping cannabis win the war on pain!

Until tomorrow my 420 magazine family

Thanks, I have learned from many others here that I do not know. And, being an "ole *art", have have lots of time to read and find interesting info. I try to give back as much as I can, although I have learned so much here at the 420 website I do no know if I could ever repay all those helpful individuals. I try though.

It is apparent the work you put into sharing your information with this community. You are always a positive person ready and willing to share all that you know, even if it is just to make something easier on someone or to help manage nutrient waste!!! You run the gamut here Charlie and we all appreciate it

More fun facts @Krissi1982

If you ever use a sump pump to draw liquid, don't use a "shutoff" valve on the watering end of the hose. Those kind of pumps are meant to stay cool by being in the liquid. They build up heat and fail quickly if the water outlet is plugged up all the way. If you have a larger sump pump than you need and realize it after the fact (too much water too fast) and want to regulate the flow use the "hose tee" method.

Get a short piece of garden hose connect it to the sump pump. Next connect the other end of that short hose to a hose "tee" (pump and tee both at tank bottom). Connect garden hose for watering end to the other tee "y". Now your flow is cut in half at least. One half of the "tee" just spits liquid and circulates liquid continuously at the bottom of the garbage can. The other side of the tee "y" can be used to water with by connecting a hose to it. You've halved your flow that way (at least, depending on length of water hose for watering, diameter of hose, up/down location of watering, etc.). If buy the hose "tee" with little wing valves on it you can adjust the tees to the right flow volume and energy for watering any type of plant.

I used that type of thing in my outside garden this last summer - I filled a 35-gal plastic garbage can with spring water, turned on the sump pump for automatic mixing (watering hose end in garbage can), I adjusted spring water pH, added nutes, mix, mix mix (no manual mixing - I puff one), turned pump off with "fob", stretched the garden hose to the potted plants, watered potted vegetable garden plants with a 75-foot long garden hose, fob "on", fob "off" (turns the sump pump on/off with remote controlled electrical outlet - fob good to 250-feet distance from electrical outlet). Move to the next plant.

Also, if you know about water pumps they lose strength over time. If you get one larger than you need it is good, since you can regulate flow with the tee "y" adapter in the bottom of the liquid reservoir. If the pump loses strength just close the valve a little bit on the "y" side that circulates the liquid - more pressure and better output on the watering end.

One other piece of advice - wire a brick to the "tee" so that "y"-side of the discharge that circulates the liquid points down to the bottom or side of the garbage can. If not, you get a water fountain when the liquid gets low and can jet past the surface if pointed skyward. I learned the hard way. The dogs were impressed though by the unexpected water fountain and were "nutrified" in the process (lazy lay-about driveway dogs that they are - but lovable ones). LOL!:nerd-with-glasses:

@ppm Charlie, you continue to amaze me with information...

I have a lot to do today including trimming tree and dinner with mil so just a bunch of update pics. All girls look fab. Some shots of night-time and day time tent inhabitants. G is in there as well with some close ups.

Happy growing Sunday!

I use a 3ml needle with an 18g drawing pin. My nutes call for 10-15 mls per gallon. I use Pepsi bottles which are 500ml or half a litre, I put 1/2 a ml of nutes in each bottle which I have 4 for 4 plants. The bigger pots I add more plain water. Works for me , figuring how not to fry my plants is my biggest concern . FF calls for 2to3 mls per litre so I’m only using 1ml per litre, plants seem to be responding well

Great pics for sure.
I am alarmed by the tripping of your breaker. Retired jet electrician in me says I need to mention your breaker tripped because the circuit is overloaded either by the loads you are applying, or the condition of the wiring itself.
Older homes have some crusty old wires that work most of the time but can also cause a plethora of problems. If this breaker trips again, please have a closer look at the circuit. Son of a firefighter.
Sometimes(once) my breaker goes out on the mother light. I believe it happens when the refrigerator and/or the light turn on at the same instant. There's a current spike at turn on that goes away but if there's two of them then there's not enough time for the spike to lower and it trips. Anything like that going on Krissi
Bubs is really getting nice and trichome covered!! Dense and packing it on...I figured she was about 2 weeks behind Jasmine as far as development with her hiccups as a young veggie....seemed about right but now I don't know!
...figured I would just check her trichs for shits and giggles...

And of course there's the ever growing G...

Gonna move some veggers around when G goes to sleep in a half hour...see what I come up with...may even pull all the autos to the flower tent and put Gigi in with Onyx in the veg tent...I'll surprise myself and let you know :)

Well I was making the baby waffles and had the toaster on and he likes to open the fridge all the time so it could have been that I turned on the light in that room at the same time not necessarily the tent and the combination may have thrown it off. I had TK check when he came home and he tested and said all was good so...may have just been I had to many cords directly into the multi strip at the time. Removed just the inline and placed it directly into the wall outlet and I haven't had issues since
It seems like you have a POTM in there.
Oh man these competitions are hard, Stone but thank you! Such amazing and beautiful stuff to compete with every month. I like to think that in my head ti have a winner...I'm just happy I get to look at then and take pics all the time :green_heart:

They are just fun games. No pressure yes? My issues come when it's voting for individuals in MOTM. I like everybody and it's too hard some months.
Oh absolutely the most fun is getting to look at all the entries!! I could spend hours just staring at all the pics!! I put in my MOM nomination, that is stressful for me, picking who to nominate but this is my 3rd month nominating now so I feel a little more comfortable making a decision
