The Jerky Box Project: OG Kush & Haze 2.0

I’m getting my veggie garden tilled. One down—four more to go! This year I’m doing carrots, radishes, sweet peas, tomatoes, several different types of lettuce, cilantro, peppermint, strawberries and Raspberries (I have a huge strawberry patch). Growing season is short here. Enjoy!

Evening @Grandpa Tokin , that really looks awsome, I'm thinking along the same lines for this coming summer ( start of winter here, starts perking up late sept ) you have a nice surface area, what is your depth at, +- 30cm round about...??? I'm busy with some pallet planters as we don't have an outlet that caters for fresh organic veg in our town.....lol even supermarkets don't carry organic veg just your generic supermarket veg... city is too far away 2 hours away.

I'd like to fill that gap in the market with my veg obviously I have to have the supermarket in question to come inspect the veg side....

Hiya @NoobyMacDooby , my bru Sun Valley is Boss my friend major reps for him. I'm also looking at his soil mix closely as I can get my hands on most of those ingredients, also @420sa here at home an adapted version of cc recipe that I can also use as guidelines. I'm busy enquiring @SweetSues LOS thread.

The soil mix in the pic is topsoil, sifted cattle/chicken manure, a bakkie load of loamy sand from the river and a 2nd trip to get coarser sand to add to the mix, the manure was composted a good cpl months I had bagged 50kg x 2..... it's a winter grow experiment using SVs pallet idea and that soil nothing but rain water really as the last 3 weeks has been rain, no complaints there.

my summer project for here in town is hopefully 18 pumping out organic veg, not even supermarkets here at home carry it ....stupid hey....

but lekker bru cheers on checking in on me, to be honest so busy I haven't been over in a while, but I'll remedy that later......:high-five:
 
Yeah the various teas are to keep the microbes going. Just the soil alone wont give you as good a yield and terps. All the things you make can also be used in that veg garden. The best organic additive I've made so far is the fish emulsion, plants love that but it smells fucken terrible. 2nd would be the fermented plant juice fed during flower. It works better than the Bio Bizz bloom during flowering. Did some test feeds and noticeable stacking on the buds with the FPJ but almost nothing from the bottle organic nutes.
 
Oh Wow guys, what a incredible day yesterday and today.....

So for those of you that have caught up or have just joined " I've gone from my jerkybox project transitioned to outside on the farm and fate has thrown an opportunity my way to grow inside again on a much smaller scale now and it's going to be only autos and CFLs as that is what is available to me now...:cheer:

So if you don't know I have " cauda equina syndrome " which was diagonosed on Tuesday and I've been aware of the symptoms for about 6 months now. It involves the loss of feeling,tingling and numbing sensation from the waist down but it was only once in awhile/infrequent times so I've stored that info I read all those months ago in the eventual possiblity of being aware of what's going on with my body..

fast forward last week wed I woke up, took a shower and realised while soaping myself down it felt as if I was rubbing myself with a powdered latex glove minus the shower water so did the obligatory pinches and realised I have mostly zero sensation from the waist down.....

After 15min lying down my legs are so tingly and dead, I have to mentally tell my body to respond or my legs couldn't care less if they moved or not.. Sadly I was due to have a fusion in 2mths time, but my body has felt as if it was responding well since nov2017 ( neglected to mention I've already had 2 prior ops ) so after a family meeting and threw heads together we decided to cancel the operation as I left prescribes in end October and managed to do infused olive oil and edibles to deal with my discomfort
" if you have back problems you know where I'm coming from"
And my neurosurgeon is on annual leave and not back in his office till Monday so patiently waiting till then, but honestly I wouldn't have anyone else look after me as we've become friends the last 4 years...
Hence being so excited bout my Frakenstein box so getting my aces in place before I'm unable to and with all the wonderful people I've met and chatted with I'm humbled to have you with on my new journey......:cheer::hugs: hahaha guys that's part of my incredible days as they blended into one honestly.............against better judgement I had an opp to go see my girls 1 last time on the farm to take some pics ( my mom agreed to that as long as I don't move again till Monday apart from the the little boys room) so need to plug in the charger and I'll be back in few .... Not that I'm going anywhere...lol

So forget to post this post before I charged my iPad 40min ago....lol......:passitleft: obviously whatever this is its working, please have some while I go make a cup of coffee not like @NaturalSpirit amazing cuppa she makes guys n gals....

Ok guys/gals there's popcorn with cannabutter, @Ms Stank sent home with some Cherry pie I believe and some of my canna-shortbread. 1. Malawi X Kush ( I can't recall any strains with this parentage ) an old school friend passed this over a cpl weeks ago and independent friends say it's a really great smoke or maby it's a fabricated strain but either way I'm going to see what she evolves into

Next I have is 2 X Haze2.0 auto by dinafem ( had a 5 pack ) harvested 2 and found 21 seeds and the 3rd I killed with compost that was too hot.. ( store bought )

The last pic you see is 2 OGK clones in the foreground that were transplanted the same day but due to heading into flower they started flowering almost immediately, here's the clones next...

1st pic is the planters, the smaller of the 3 contain the auto seeds we harvested.
2nd pic is a aerial view of them ( def need a magnifying glass to see them ) 4 in total as 1 hasn't surfaced yet..

Now it's not often that a guys favourite color is " purple " let the ragging begin guys, but this pink little lady has won me over. Really hoping for seeds from her as that pink pheno expression ( is that correct terminology) you don't see ... only in pics have I seen color so uber chuffed.....

Heya Nooby....... yip yip I'm reading up quite a bit on those and fpjs and such, my more immediate project I want to get started is making lacto b as I believe that's one of the big boys for pulling all components to a working unison together.... microbes baby, going to be dreaming of them all dolled up for a night out on the town......:thanks: Nooby....

Yeah I've got some of that too and do a feeding with it but it's big in the organic veg scene from what I've seen. Also you want to diversify your microbes so one strain isn't dominant. If your dominant microbes get messed up you'l lose time on the grow as they recover. If you do seed sprout teas, worm teas and Lac B then you have a range of microbes to use. My 1st 2 runs gave poor results in very similar soil (and some good freedom Farms soil) without the microbes. By closely following the ways of master Sun Valley we too can improve our Dank-Fu

So what was it that you were feeding your girls so early on that gave them nitrogen toxicity? Also, I know I'm quite a few pages back still, but have you figured out your pH pen issues? If you are running Hydro, I can't imagine that you haven't.
 
Evening Guy, I actually had to go back and see what was going on back on pg3...lol
The name " Carrot " came from " Capt Carrot " a human who was raised by dwarves, gotta love Terry Pratchett, prob read all his books many times over...

The closest I've come to hydro is a 5lt bubble cloner ( 7 out of 10 clones ) gifted 4 to friends and the other 3 are on the farm..... never pH'ed the water either..

Now pH is my Achilles heal, had the ph pen but never used it as I thought my water was hunky dory till it went downhill. I was using Nitrosol and Seagro both organic nutrients high in nitrogen and states it won't burn plants but it did...???

Was at the point of chucking it all in and decided to test the pH pen and 8.9 was what my tap water came out at so I was kicking myself so hard.... stupid Smeegol.... So as my brothers growing on the farm and he uses rain and borehole water I went to check the boreholes pH which was 6.9 - 7.3 range and his girls were doing well so started moving everything plant wise to the farm and lost the ph pen in the process. I put it on the dashboard and gone...... 2 months now....lol

And now that I need to grow indoors again I'm really having a good ol chuckle as I never ordered a tds/ppm so now hunting for both .....:high-five: hope ya having a great day
 
Morning guys, big day today as I speak to my doc....
As you know I grow on the farm, sadly I'm not in a position to actively participate in growing on the farm much longer.
Trying to bring it closer....

In my back yard a veg tunnels been erected and I have 9 pallet planters made, 7 more to go.
Going to do organic veg, but of those some are solely for growing my meds....
