The Jerky Box Project: OG Kush & Haze 2.0

mr.Fish, thank you kindly for those words as you said they ring very true, and I think the aim of my message was that if theres anything that anyone who'd reads that post of mine. So a last parting message from smeegs about that long chat I had....

" anybody who has read that mini novel before mr.Fishs post, if there is anything you can take away and use/implement to make your day just that little bit brighter, then I've succeeded in accomplishing in helping someone else "

and that's something I consider of more value to me right now than any big lights and amaze balls strain, and I think to myself about the lives and stories that of each and everyone of you have to share, and I think that if we collect friends the way that we collect those exotic strains/seeds be they reg/ fem/ or auto then by jolly I've amassed a truly amazing collection of friends so far....

@depecid, my apologies as I meant to mention you were the only person who is growing the GG Allin, @SweetSue, I think I might have found the queen of Indicas for your Meds making so please pop in and have a coffee with mr.Dep please

:passitleft: Good day Smeegs! Hope things are beautiful in your part of the world.

So that's my dads version of a moveable compost heap luckily their a crane truck to lift it in the yard...All that sand is about 5 years of broken down leafs, twigs and branches, it's also collected bits of plastic so that sieve is to get all the big stones, sticks and large bits of plastic. The sieved remains will be bagged and and a finer mesh will be applied to the drum sieve to get only the composted humus/soil through..... lots of work ahead, it actually irritates the crap outta me that I cannot partake in physical labor yet so we roll with the punches.....lol

And then a guy rocked up today asking for me by name, so I came out to say howzit and presents me with 2 sacks of what is cement but chunky and apparently it's for me, I could never hope to even move 1 bag it's so heavy so I got a wheel barrow to move them...

Asked my dad what it was and he said " remember you asked if I had a contact at the Rock crushing quarry that's a cpl miles out of town...? " well I know have 2 sacks of rock dust which if my nephew ever needs any for growing well there's enough for the next 10 generations of my family....

Have a swell evening everyone as my dinner is officially cold, but and maby it's only me I don't mind cold dinners that much as I stay up late normally and eventually eat it cold cause I can't be asked to warm it..... but it's pasta tonight and I can't do cold pasta, warm yes........

That giant bin might be too big for your composting needs, but that sieve , does it rotate? I see those composters that are a rotating drum. The biggest problem with composting is turning the pile. You couldn’t use an open mesh but you’d have to line it.

good morning mr.B, that is very true, but luckily it's going to be a ongoing project keeping it going but it is winter here now and I have a cpl pecan nut trees among others starting to shed leaves right now, so I think that it is a fortious time frame to start..:high-five:
I do have 3 smaller compost bins I bins that I want to build for a more regular turnover..
The tumbling barrel composter is a absolute brilliant idea which I would love to incorporate as there is so much info out there that you over look solutions like the one you mention and I would of not have of remembered without your post so thank you kindly...
That rock dust is what you want right there. Good News that!
I wish I had a contact I felt comfortable with to ask for some.
I think you are going to be happy with the soil you are creating. Rock On!

mr.K, how nice of you to pop in cause it's really starting to get real exciting for me now in regards to my LOS adventure as I was kindly pointed in the direction of #Korean Natural Farrming and a 2nd #Natural farming Hawaii....

And wow what some explosive information contained within there it is absolute dynamite, so I'm going to be starting a real fine adventure in the next couple of months to come, and it's a pretty massive journey in a positive way, it will be providing and generating food for the table it will provide an income which due to my back probs my piggy banks been dwindling in the last 4 years I've been back in South Africa.

And once all that's rolling I hope to carry on financing my mobile food trailer dream which was put on hold 3 years ago.......:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo: vegtables organically grown with love and care for the cost of what box stores sell reg vegtables more or less, how can you go wrong.....

I'm not in it to make a killing with the veg buy any means but merely provide a interesting range of vegtables with a decent selection for the price of reg veg, how can you go wrong..

There's the the #parkandrun events weekly round the world, and my town is no exception, lots of young family's, all generations that participate and are actively excercising daily.

There's my market, only 2 box stores in town I'm going to approach, but 1st I do deliveries by hand and create my market from there.

my apologies for the long tag....

howdy everyone, I hope it's a nice warm cozy Sunday vibe like I have but I'm sending them your way....:high-five:

Woke up to the first frost so it was a nice sunny crisp afternoon, so when the girls woke and we're ready to go out I grabbed some pics...

1st up is Gollums Angel/ Reveg Chem Fruity..

So she is happily plodding along under 18/6, second feeding with biobizz later today when she wakes up. She'll be going outside in spring, and transplanted outside, once she is situated and strong I want to take cuts...

Lots of leaf mututations coming out the bud sites so the transformation is taking place....

And what's a day without comedy......

Laurel and Hardy.... 37 days on Tuesday .

After these pics I realized on manual focus mode on the camera brought out the glare, as my interest in taking pics is developing so is my interest in photography.

And finally it's the troublesome twosome.... Hardy the runt of the 2 has exploded in growth, I fed 1ml bios per 500ml rain water and fed 100ml each around circumference of pot. Only applying spray to soil top.
Laurel I topped/Fimmed and I'm waiting to see what happens, no sex determined on other so far.
Laurel is also a darker green than Laurel although the feed is the same.
Could anyone point out a differing in pheno as I think they are ver similiar apart from color.......

And finally I want to repot can anyone suggest an estimation of time including contemplation of shock into consideration.... just interested and curious as I'm not sure what they will do...

thankyou kindly to everyone who pops in over the week, hope it's helping you guys out too,,,,

mr.king to be honest with you I've never finished/harvested a grow of my own only guided my brother in growing for us , because of the high prices of purchasing your meds to smoke or 3ml oils and also seeds not as easy to come by as I'd like so I've narrowed down my list to 3 strains that I want to concentrate on. Also we are not going a full harvest as to purchase is a 4 hr round trip and expensive per gram indoor or outdoor and gas for the car.....

I've been following @SweetSue dark devil auto thread and that is no.1 on my list, number 2 is a strain that I haven't seen mentioned on this forum is the GG Allin strain by Southern Star seeds and it's quoted to be a 100% indica and a total knockout which will do well for my meds and my sister in law who has Crohn's disease.
The third and final 1 is gorilla glue auto by gorilla glue I'll get the info in a bit but it's medical properties are powerful and Crohn's is one of the ailments listed under medical properties.

The infamous ATF is another strain but is out of reach at the moment, cbd wise I want the candida as I get it here without much hassle...

And until recently in an agreed unanimous decision by my smoking circle ( my brother, his missus and myself ) this granny's balls I've been talking about that my friends grows his " strain " is really amazing...

It's only known parent was Road Kill Skunk according to the grower and it's was grown indoors, it ended up having a seed or 5 from a random pollen fairy... Ever since then he's grown out the female and crossed with whatever was in proximity whether it was a calculated pollination or random.

My brothers been speaking about ang finally we have got our hands on some " granny's balls " grown outdoors in a shaded tunnel set up... I'm holding on too 25 seeds for a project cause that same purchase we purchased 5 grams of indoor grown Sour Power OG. We have grown 1 OGK by dinafem full term but it was mediocre and cause we didn't unsterstand the whole trichs story it was average smoke........

So driving home and I rolled a phat sour power my brother admitted the next day he didn't remember the 2 hour drive home the night before, well we were impressed let me tell you....

So that's another interesting project I want to work towards is a cross between sour power and granny's using CS or silver thilosulfate and if all fails I will naturally wait for her to stress ....

We don't have access here in South Africa to even a quarter of the products that most of you guys have available to you within a week or even 24hrs if needs be, but that's our lot and we work with what we have available to us do a LOS soil using certain products like Neem/Karanga cake and crustacean meal but the help I've been given and ingredients that I can obtain and work with im my attempt at my first LOS soil attempt in the next month, I've seen the proof that this soil mix without those ingredients using what we have available here in South Africa. I could easily point all of you in the right direction to the proof I mention I've seen from these members that you use this platform as well from South Africa but I want prove myself among my peers that I look up to on this forum and I'd like to also show any fellow country man that we can also do a good proven organic soil is possible without having to resort to often costly imports for certain products.

I'm not having a whinge by any means at all, I just feel very strongly about implementing what I've learnt from all of you using ingredients that are available to me.

I can honestly say I can't recall actually saying on my journal at any time " hey feel sorry me " I'm a cripple with a really bad back........ hell NO I just want to learn and grow, you guys have guided me and I hope I gained the respect of those of you that I physically make an effort to follow your journals no matter how long they are but it's cause I respect you guys and value your input.
I also realize how busy all of you are juggling work/growing your meds and dealing with the world wide events regarding cannabis it's amazing and I get to share it with....

My apologies as I'm not sure whose journal I'm on or if it's my own and I can't be bothered to check right now but I like you guys and want you to share in my triumphs as I have shared in yours.....

There's a cpl bid fish that I'm still getting round to getting a bit more comfortable with as you are all vey unique each in their your own way, you know where my garden is if you've ever come across it , messy yard eva.......

So please come join and share the next big step in my adventure
@TorturedSoul I was very wary of you but thanks to sweetsue among others I've come to understand you and feel confident to tag you, so that just goes to show you that this interest we all share overcomes all forms of of obstacles....

And others whose quirky views on life I've come to appreciate as it helps me grow and broaden my horizons and reevaluate my outlook on life going forward and I'm almost sure this phrase you all use " no pics, no proof or you haven't done it " is an awsome resolution to work towards for me or you guys doesn't matter what the objective is, it's about sharing, caring and learning.......

You've all been there at that point in your life somewhere in your journal where you've reached this point I've I've reached today...

So thanks for your ongoing friendship and advice and I can't wait to start paying it forward which is I something I learnt from my time living in America.....

Thanks for this, very nice read. I’m all caught up again:)

I have to remind myself that your growing outside in winter over there! Lol That’s remarkable!

Those sunset pics were truly breathtaking. I’ll take more African landscape pic anytime Smeegs:) maybe a giraffe in your back yard or a Lion?? :D I want to visit someday
