The Girl Who Drank The Moon

It's ok Crazy. If I was going to do anything, I would just replace the carbon instead of washing it. I like the cool glass doors on the apartment!

It's cool to recycle R. :) The best thing is when it's possible to up-cycle stuff.

Oh, it's just widows. :) But I actually have a glass door to my workshop. Exchanged all handles in the apartment yesterday from aluminum to brass ones. Love brass... :)

Hazel and Chem are up to a whopping 5 gallons of water every 2 days now. Watering them has been such an exercise up to this point. I basically have to fill up one 2 gallon water jug, one 1 gallon jug, and 2 empty 1 gallon juice jugs. After watering, I have to immediately fill them all up and hope that they warm up to room temperature before watering again.
Then, I have to clean the liner on the bottom of the tent to keep it clean. I never thought it would be my water bill that took the hit instead of electricity. However, I found two items that saved my life.
The first is this whopping 6.6 gallon water storage jug:

Now I can just fill this thing up every 2 days.

The second thing is these 21 inch plant saucers to set my 10 gallon pots in:

They do a great job of catching all of the runoff. No more scrubbing the bottom of the tent. Previously I was only able to find 16 inch ones which just barely fit the pots.

It still sucks carrying all that water, but now, it sucks a little less.

The plants are looking better than anything I have ever grown before that's for damn sure. The UV lights are proving to enhance the trichomes beyond belief. I enabled the flash on my camera to show the detail:

Looking good in the garden Retrix. Watering is a bitch but just think of the reward that awaits you. Nice

Thanks Derby. Yes the watering just kills my back. I think that jug weighs 50 lbs when it's full.

Oh also I forgot to mention. The plants each got 2 tbsp of build a bloom and 2 tsp of craft blend. From here on out they will receive 40 ml of Terpinator and plain water only til harvest. I may give them one more compost tea if they need it, but that's it. We're home free now.

I find that equal amounts in each hand works best while trying to carry water. Just saying but that's me. Keeps my back straighter.

I agree with this! Always easier carrying two buckets instead of one... even when I only need one lol

Those plants are looking outstanding! I gotta up my lighting game asap!

Oh boy. So TWO 6.6 Gallon jugs?

Those plants are looking outstanding! I gotta up my lighting game asap!

Thank's PJ

When I looked at the pics I almost fainted.

LOL Shed.

Looking stellar in here RETRIX! All sparkly systems go

4th of July will be a sparkly one indeed Amy.

I posted your recipe but couldn't recall how you're watering.

How am I watering you ask? I'm about to just install a spigot on each pot and leave it running. These chicks are like alcoholics but with water.

That's the most dank, fat, frosty weed I have seen for a good while now Retrix! Amazing that you grown this weed with organic soil as well. You should be very proud!

I would shit my pants IF my clones ever get that dank good looking. :)

Love that episode as well. But I got to admit it is a little over my league with those big as grows, it's fun to watch but it never goes down to the details... it's like here is out hyper modern lab were research is being done.... about what, and how?! and all the branding... but I guess I take notice from it because I'm a Swede. It's illegal here for them to brand stuff, but we are allowed to curse in Tv. ;)

Have a great weekend Retrix, u others as well.

April 12, 2019

Things are still on track this week with no issues. My Hazel has finally started to fade with her leaves starting to turn. Chem seems to be content with staying green however, and shows no signs of slowing down yet. The buds are getting frostier and some of these pics look just like the website photos which has me questioning whether I even need to upgrade the MoonShot at this point. It seems, from research, that once you reach a certain point with light saturation that spectrum becomes less important. The wattage of this light is approaching the equivalent of a 1000 watt HPS, and It is actually suited more for a 5x5 tent than a 2x4. I'm still going to do it, but for now, I just want to have fun.

The thermopro had to be replaced due to interference with the Kasa Smart. The remote sensors kept losing connection and proving to be horribly inaccurate.
The new WS-10 from Ambient LLC comes with 3 sensors and so far has never lost a connection. The sensors are so accurate that I can lay them on top of my pots and they monitor the humidity levels of the pots themselves.
For example: In the pic above, channel one is the air temperature of the tent, channel two is Hazel and channel 3 is Chem. I watered Hazel a little more than I did Chem and the humidity level of channel two is 2% higher.

Starting next week we will have 3 weeks left to go

You and me both Crazy. When I look at the pictures it amazes me every time.

I got to admit it is a little over my league with those big as grows

What I like about their lighting system is that they touch on what we were talking about with red and blue spectrum. I feel like my plants started doing much better when I added a blue spectrum before lights on and red spectrum right before lights out. They have found that by adding blue in the last weeks of flower, it can preserve and enhance terpines. I thought that reds were more important. But I just like to watch those big grows because I find it amazing that they can grow thousands and thousands of plants and every one of them looks perfect.
