The Emerald City

My SP250 is great! And Preston likes his as well. Only downside is you have to unmount the driver from the light if you want to get to the dimmer. But you could also just take it off and leave it off as well. Just hang it from the top of the tent.

You built the QB from parts? What part failed?

I'm not sure but I'm assuming the driver took a shit. It was working yesterday but not today. I tried different outlets and the light is not turning on. Happy to get a new one from one our sponsors to match up with another of our sponsors, Timber Grow Lights. The Mars will run along the Timber should look pretty sweet and tidy too. I have a screw driver so I can mod the new light and get the tent temps down.

damn that i hit post

They look pretty good and prices are good.
Should be good.

I suppose i shoulda asked Shed what he uses his light for. Mine will be for the flower tent. Stoked bout the new light, gonna be here soon too!

I am digging my 315w CMH. My buddy has like his Mars ts1000’s too.

i didnt look at those, i like the qb’s, clean design, im on a tighter budget or would’ve gone QB again. I feel like ive watched Mars redesigns a few times and ilike the direction theyre going. Im lookin forward to seein how it looks in my tent too. Now i gotta check out your lights and be jealous!

I got 4 Mar Hydro COB lights when they were on sale 2 for 1 so I have 4 Mars COB lights in my 5x5 tent and they are Bright I am hoping they do a good job The packaging and lights were first class and the lights seem to be really well built. I was going to order the sp250 but the COBs were on sale so I grabbed them. We will see how they do with DBHBB I am hoping for a good out come.

I was really impressed with the way that the light was packed the fact that they put in a couple plywood sheets with foam on it to protect the light from any impact damage especially on the
very impressive so far got a run to the store to get a new timer which I think was the issue previously but in any case very excited about the light and more pictures to come once it’s installed have a great day everybody.

Stay Baked!

The screws that keep the driver mounted to the light or either cheap screws or super tight and I couldn’t get any screwdriver to bite and loosen them up so I ended up having to use my handy hacksaw to cut the the screws fortunately there was enough visible because the brackets that the lights are attached to that it didn’t take me but a couple minutes to cut the screws and remove the driver it’s installed outside the tent as she had said the lights are BAF!!!
