re: The Dealer's Choice - Mars Pro Cree256 & Cree128s Perpetual In High-Brix!

So I got 3 Mars pro II Cree128s on the way, soon as they arrive I'll be making the swaps and starting this sour diesel flux. Things are about to get crazy over here!! High brix harvests left and right.

So heres my new 5x5 setup. 3x Mars Hydro pro II series Cree128s, setup like an "H". I moved the Cree256 into the 3x3 tent where i'll start my Sour Diesel Flux.

Very nice indeed. Quick question for you- how do you like the footprint of that Mars pro 256 cree in your 3x3 tent? Only reason I ask is that I am looking for a new light for my 3x3 tent. Been running marsII 700 with a 96 refleftor, sometimes with 2 96 reflectors for better coverage. Ive been reading through "too many" journals to keep track of and narrowed my pick down to 3-4 led light manufacterers. Mars proII 256, Amare solar spec, and the Perfefect Sun 500, or maybe even a p300-p450 from Platinum led. So what do you think?

the Cree256 will cover even a 4x4 very well. I just had it in a 5x5 and kinda needed an extra half a light to get fully covered. In the 3x3 its going to be a monster. I've not tried any of those other choices, but I love these lights and very happy with my decision.

Dope setup bro. I'm ordering my 4x4 and can't decide between getting 1 Pro II Cree256 or getting 2 units of the Pro Cree128. What would you recommend? I'm set up for 15Amps in my room but will need to hook up a carbon filter and fan as well so I'm worried about tripping my breaker if I had 2 lights +carbon filter/fan (might trip my 15amp breaker). I'm leaning towards getting just the 256 due to my 15 amp limit on my breaker and also it would only take up 1 plug vs 2. Thoughts? Advice would be great!

Hi Snoog. Power strips are your friend. Potential plugs you may need, light or lights, intake and exhaust fans, oscillating fan and possibly other things like humidifier, space heater, AC etc....

2 lights could have an advantage if you wind up havng more than 1 grow space. Good luck with your set up Snoog. :passitleft:

Fear not my friend as I have 3 tents running and I just reached my 15 amp limit when I hooked up my 3rd Fan and filter. But thats with running 1 6inch exhaust fan and 2 4inch exhaust fans, 5 oscillating fans, the Cree256, 3x Cree128s and 4x 300watt UFOs lol. Youl'll be fine with 1 tent. I would go with the 2 128s even though it will cost a bit more you'll have control over how you spread the light. Either keeping them side by side to concentrate down the middle or split them up to cover more space.

Thanks Canad! I'm leaning towards going with the 2 128 as I agree with your input of coverage and spread. That being said, the ambient temp of my un-heated attic is around 55 degrees (where my tent will be). If I run 2 of these 128 inside my 4x4 tent, do you think I'll be able to increase the inside temp to a minimum of 70 degrees or do you think I'll need to run a small space heater? Alternatively in the peak summer temps, my attic can get up to around 80 degrees so I'm assuming I'll have to figure out a way to cool the inside of the temp when running both of these lights, or do you think the passive air intake will keep it cool enough? Sorry for all the noob questions.

Thanks!
