just to ease your mind a little, A friend had mites in bloom. never completely got rid of them, just kept them in check. The harvest was still nice, just a little extra protien. hahaha,
Neutrino, before you kill the soil bugs be sure that their thrips and not Springtales. I have springtales, and they help eat dead roots and algea and fungus from the soil. they are beneficial. You can tell the difference by taking a little bit of soil with them on there, and putting it in a cup of water. the springtales will bunch together forming rafts and try to spring out of the water - hence -spring-tales. just a tip because I never even see any algea and my coir is always moist. Those bugs are an exellent help there. I actually cultivate them by taking a teaspoon of coir from older plants soil and putting it into the new babies.
The springtales are also a touch smaller and white to brown. you may have both, in which case, kill, kill, kill. Damn ugs. lololol
