The Chronicles of Mother Forcade & the Sour Flo's

Fo sho dude i am having a couple issues not bad very sparce with some of the leaf coloring and haven't been able to figure out how to stop it but what does a calcium deficicency look like? and if so is calmag+ a good one cuz my buddy has some that he's been using and thanks dude i am so ready to see these girls start to juice up it's been a long time coming i have really learned the meaning of patience this grow can you believe its been since the beggining of december that I've had these girls so crazy to me every time i think about it

I hear ya man, it's always a good thing when they start busting ass for ya!
Calcium Deficiency symptoms vary like most others, but usually you'll notice a yellowing of the leave with greener veins. This effect can vary from slight to major. Just look for the greener veins than the rest of the leaf. usually it will occur from the tips back, but not always. In my set-up I notice this happens on the newer shoots more so than the older ones. Calmag+ is a good one for ya - I believe it's 100% organic. I use the botanicare CalMagPlus, but to each their own, and it's not 100% organic.

Damn dude thanks for the diagnoses thats my exact problem just hadn't put it up cuz i didn't think it was a big deal they get like that then curl up and die thanks so much for the help jason i'm gonna get my girls some calcium today do you know how much it's runnin in store?

If your talking about the yellow bottom leaf in your photo, that would be more of a nitrogen deficiency. Can you list what your using for bloom nutrients?

Nah dude i wasn't talkin bout that(but def gave her a lil drop of nitrogen not much but should hook her up just enough:smokin:) i was talkin bout this and it's on one or two leaves max at a time per plant but there are usually one or two on the plants and i've noticed that very bottom growth that i wasn't really worried about anyway has been effected most by this
Grow_Op_290.jpg

as far as bloom nutes go i use age old for liguid P nutes, I use grandmas mollasses from wal-mart, and I use blackjack gigantamo leaf spray for foilar that's bout it though as it is all i can afford:thumb:thanks for your help jason let me know if you think that leaf is somethin else:grinjoint:

damn don't ya hate when you accidentally top a flowering plant well i just did to one of the tops on my bonsai plant she had been super cropped and then grew sraight to the roof literally her top was touching and bending against the roof of my cab so i went to super crop again at a higher point and she snapped on me oh well though only lost 3" can't worry to much about these things
here's a pic of what i snapped off

Hey Dude! You know that I'm no expert, right! I had something similar to your issue early in flower and was related to my low pH. I added some lime to raise the pH and later Cal/Mag (thanks to ChicagoJoe) and that seemed to fix the situation.

awesome woodsy thank you and you don't need to be an expert to offer advise on somethin you had probs with I might have to grab some of that dolomite lime stuff(if i can make the budget work) when i go get my cal mag lata today thanks buudy how are thing in the woodsy household

yea, that leaf in the picture def looks like calcium/ magnesium deficiency. ^^^like woods said, pH could be the cause of the lockout.. What is your current pH?

Damn that sucks the top broke off your girly. Thats why I prefer to train down with wire or string rather than risk a break. I always seem to break the girls when I supercrop, and when you tie them down they stay right there. I wish ya luck man!

word dude I'm gonna get on that today... Idk what my Ph is actually never got around to getting a PH reading kit or anything kinda just wingin it on that end to be honest... and yeah man I was pissed at myself shoulda heard me cussin not much you can do after the fact though i guess so i smoked a bowl and chilled out bout it... i would much rather tie em to they are just so tied up already in there right now this grow is straight outta control jungle status man def vegged em way to long for my space but me and the girls have made it work lol just a lot of change to be had on the next flower sesh:thumb:thanks again for your help buddy

Nothing wrong with a jungle as long as it doesn't get the best of ya! Glad ya got that bowl.
The lime was only a couple of bucks by the way (Lowes I think) and the test kit I've seen it at Wally's in the aquarium section also just a few dollars. I'm on the mend and feeling much better. My wife today said she is starting to feel better, but still has a sore throat. Yesterday I went and meet her RN friend and got some antibiotic for her. She should be OK in a few days I hope. I've pretty much been doing everything for her the last, what, two weeks? Seems like it's been that long! Getting tired of dishes, cleaning, making meals and fixing tea meds and stuff! Whew. All that and being sick at the same time! Glad It's about over. So here I am ramblin on your thread!

Hey there Woods! Glad to hear your recovering. I know it sounds weird but I swear that hot pepers and lots of OJ (my favorite drink by the way) really helps boost the immune system. My wifey gets colds and such alot from work, but I only get them maybe half the time, and half as bad. she thinks I'm some mutant or something. lol

COmmj glad i could help. Woods has the right idea about were to get your pH kit and lime. If you can, get Dolomite lime, not hydrated lime. It works much better IMO.

Have to concur with the old Mag deficiency, seems extremely common. I have had far less problems with it since I bought the ph pen tho for sure. I water about 6.5/6 and it the soil seem to slowly rise just a little and not really having any issues since then.

I also spray the leaves when I water, as I did tonight with a mixture of calcium, magnesium and neem oil for the pests. Just prevention as oppose to cure. Now I am onto more feed and bio boost I will hold the calcium and magnesium and hope that it doesnt have an issues anymore. Earlier on I was getting a bit of this and bit of nute burn but fingers crossed I don't see anything getting worse in any way right now. Will see how they react to this bio boost now of course.

Woods, hope the missus picks up very quickly, hate the thought of you cleaning and washing up n stuff ha-ha

I have the jungle going in for sure, hence my added cfl's tonight. My first ever flowering o course and I was so reluctant to trim or anything. Scarey!

That's funny jason i drink a grip of OJ and eat a lot of jalepenos and habeneros cuz i like to cook mexican food and the same thing goes man she gets sick all the time cuz she is anemic and hasn't gotten her enlarged tonsils out(damned sh!tty healthcare) and I hardly ever catch it:thumb:and yeah i imagine that PH is somethin i really shouldn't wing it on lol
