What a difference in my waffles with the new Belgian Waffle maker! Completely even heating, and there was literally nothing to clean up on it after I removed the waffles. My old one.....OMG what a mess. Everything stuck to it, and the cooking was very uneven. I'm loving this new one. It has a doneness setting too, you can choose light to dark waffles.

So, I made an Oatmeal Raisin Waffle recipe using Cannaflour. I also plumped up the raisins in some Orange Liqueur overnight, just to give an extra good shot of tastiness.

They turned out delicious with some butter, syrup, and a side of bacon:

Subbed. I'm trying to make my edibles taste better. I use the MB2 to make coconut oil or butter. I've tried two brownie box mixes and even added a peanut butter frosting to the last one to hopefully mask the taste. Hopefully I can pick up some tips on here.

:welcome: to the thread!

I use extra real extracts to help mask the taste of the cannabutter. Try adding extra Vanilla, Almond, or other extract and see if it helps. :)

:circle-of-love:

Edit: I'm going to try adding some Lemon extract in my caramels on the next batch and see what the flavor profile is. I love lemon..... :)

Thanks for the heads up. I will add some vanilla to see if that helps. I never thought to add an extract. Do you add extra to box mixes or do you make your own?

I just add it to the box mix too. Doesn't hurt it at all, and really helps to mask the taste and the smell of the cannabutter. Usually I will add a tsp. more than what's called for, or I'll add at tsp. or two in a recipe that doesn't call for it.
Hope that helps. :) Let us know how it worked out.
Not matter what you do, depending on how strong your butter is, you are going to have some of that taste in there. I don't mind it unless it's so strong that I can't taste anything else.

The taste definitely overwhelms the rest of the brownie flavor. I thought the peanut butter frosting would cut the taste, but no dice. I will let you know what the next batch taste like. Thanks Canna

Ok, so I read through a jah-zillion posts and replies, I didn't find what I was looking for. Way, way back, we used to just add ground herb straight to the brownie or cookie mix. Does anybody still do it the old fashioned way? I was looking for quantity/potency per mix. The potency of the product available today is insane, compared to yesteryear. :-)
No doubt I will be expermenting someday with the CannaOil recipes. We already utilise coconut oil almost exclusively.

The closest I have come is to add Already Been Vaped(ABV) to a brownie mix. I use about 2 TBSP (30ml.)

If I had to guess,
I would add about 1/2 oz of DECARBOXYLATED cannabis bud to a standard brownie mix to make 16 brownies, because a gram of edible will get me going for hours. But that is going to taste a bit nasty.

Kief, infused butter, infused oil, or concentrated oil will get you very high without the taste of chewing on marijuana bud.

I'm speculating here.

If you remember a dose from Way, way back - just try to half the amount of ground cannabis.

The potency in the genetics is mostly about 1/3 better than Way, way back. The increase in potency, that we experience, is mostly in the better harvesting and handling of the cannabis. A lot of what I smoked in the 70s must have been harvested way too early.

Sometimes, we don't do it the old way, because the new way really is better and not much more work :)
