The Butcher Pride

Nah not intruding. Its chill to head over there if you know people. if not, when you get there, try to get to know people quick..

Dunno just yet. and experiment for the time being. I just want to see if I would get the growth I need out of hydro to produce mothers in a simple DWC system. I put this one together for less then 30 bucks. Cant beat that. if it works then I got new cuttings rooting to be the next moms. But to be honest i got the idea cause I felt I needed to focus all my Dirt growing for the outdoors coming up. Right now is the time to start prepin' for the outdoors. I got new pumps, rez's, hoses, feeding tubes outdoor nutrients just to start. And am currently checking in on my grow locations for anything that can come between me and my outdoor. We all know how much The Butcher Loves his Outdoor. New spots, New breeds, New counties are all just the start. Dunno if I'll journal the outdoor grow. I just may snap shots and post em here randomly. The ultimate goal is to get 2-3 harvest this outdoor season. Thats the big reason for the new hydro moms. Sometimes its good to switch it up.

Sweet man I'm excited to see I will also be doing some outdoor action in two different counties out here in 4 different spots not gonna journal it though to much fed action goin on right now in CO but any tips on outdoor cultivation from seed cuz I am a lil confused on outdoor vegetative growth? :welldone:

congrats on the boy losing his virginity here soon. I bet you'll be the proudest PaPa on 420. and Bro I give all the credit to my original teacher Old Man
(R.I.P). He put me threw hell until I truly understood growing. So thank you Old Man.Hes the one responsable for you all having to put up w/ all my sh*t.

Thanks Wheel. Now this is just a thought at the moment. If the dwc does what its intended to do, and puts out some weight when I flower the moms. then I would love to do a side by side grow w/ 6 ebb-n-gro buckets against 6 of these DWC buckets. And see which would give off a better yeild. Same nutes, same lighting everything identical to one another. I think it would a nice thread. But its all dream'n at the moment. Thjanks fo rall the compliments. And damn does that bring back memories of The Sandlot. Flip'n love that movie. the wheel id the one system I have yet to master. If I could pull a Lb. off a wheel then everyrtime, I'd more then likely stick to that. Well to be honest. I'd end up w/ way to much space free and end up filling it up w/ something else. I'm just never satisfied with something when I think I've mastered it. Hence, all the systems and the constant drive to always want more. But I think thats just natrual for us growers. Never happy w/ what we have we always want more...damn Rainbow has me ramblin..:ganjamon:

gotta love the La woman. good smoke their

Thanks Irishboy. Never smoked any LA WOMEN before. I got mom going along w/ some in the aero along w/ the Black Mist. I wanted to see how she would come out using hydro and soil. I cant wait to try her out. if all goes well then a SOG will be in order for sure.

LMFAO..Hell yeah now thats a new meaning for aero buds. Dro your always wecome here. You always bring a great vibe w/ pure posi vibes. and a hell of a growwer to boot who helps the hell out of newbies. I roll through the new threads and DRO's the first one up. Big ups and a +rep thats well deserved.

Yeah thats the sketchy thing about outdoors and journalin the grow. Its a long period to have the public eye on it. So I just may put the journal together after harvest. I think that would give me the peace of mind I need to do the outdoor grow and journal it. Dunno though we'll see. Butch is always changing his mind.

And as far as outdoor grow'n goes. When Starting from seed start it indoor. Then little by little bring it to your spots lighting schedule. I ussualy camp out or go out to the spot before sunrise and stay and monitor and take notes on sun position and visual traffic. Meaning animals feeding spots, drinking areas as well as their dropping area. This is the stuff that you want to take note of. then at sun set make sure you got that time as well. Once you have all that info then you got a vgood game plan. Cause then you know the enviorment and can manipulate asw needed. Then figure out the amount of hours your spot has light and set your seedlings schedule accordingly. I usually set mine to 15/9. that schedule works well for the summer lighting around here. Thats pretty much how to start the whole outdoor game. Research now then when its almost time go figure your lighting out. then its set up and plant. I hop ethis answered your question, I'm starting to ramble. Sorry.

:ganjamon:

O.k..heres some more picts for the masses. These are of the new mother set up that I'll be trying. And if all is successful :goodluck: I should be able to pull cuttings off her everyweek....eventually, or so this is the goal. And if all goes well, then all of my mothers in the future will be in a similar system. And sorry Mike for the delay..LOL..

Nice setup there Butcher!! I will be following your mother project, as I am currently doing the same thing with a Power Kush mother in a 5 gal. homemade setup. Good luck to you!

Thanx Answer. I'm glad you like. and thatnx for cruising down my way. I've been absent the last couple days, but I got a harvest report and a final pictorial of the last grow. And yes its shag carpet...+rep.. No one has ever noticed that I use it in my rooms. I like it cause it helps insolate the grow area along w/ absorbs any lquid that drops to the floor. And yes I replace it after each harvest. Its cheap and I get it free most of the time from the local carpet store. And i'll update the mother picts in a bit.

Yea they are about the cheapest way to grow Butcher. Hope you got a place where it's fairly easy to keep the water chilled or heated whicher need be. I did once in this old house in southern Il' We had a woodburner stove for heat, So I put one in the back room and figgured a 150 watt heater wood work. Some how I lost power for acouple days I had to leave town, I came home to a ice bucket. Sure didnt need a chiller. Guess I need to do alittle speed reading in reverse. Been awhile since I been able to come out and play.

Your so right Norcal. And the temp stay on the dwc's stay perfect. (cause of the location, not me..) Its about 4 inches above a concrete floor that keep chill year around. Honestly, I've done DWC for years, and this has to be the most perfect conditions I've ever experienced. Its been a few years at this location and its been great. Well the summer can cause some issues. But a good portable air conditioner takes care of that. Right now the room stay 74-79 degress durring lights on. and lights out it dip into the mid-60's so it really give the garden some really nice color. I'm working on uploading picts right now for an update with the whole set up. Stay tuned they should be put up in the next 15 minutes.

O.k So this is how I'll break the update down. Into each individual post. To much for just one.

So heres the experimental hydro MOM.

Strain: LA Women
Age: 2.5-3 weeks into veg(i think..)
Lighting : CFL
System: DWC
Nutes: 3 part G.H, Hyrozyme, MagiCal, Floranectar

Out come the babies. I'll take this and a couple more off to clean her up, once they are at least 6 inches.

mother22.JPG

Here are her roots. I love hygrozyme. I started to see a small root issue, so I upped the hygrozyme and here we are. New roots and breaking down the old ones for beni's. Its' like magic in a bottle.
