went home today to take the garbage bin out to the road, and check the mail.... the tents light wasn’t on yet. I still went down stairs. Good thing I did. I found my basement under water. The water hasn’t reached to the tent yet, but could soon if it’s left for too long. I vacuumed the water up for about an hour in a half but wasn’t making a dent on it because it was coming just as fast if not faster... I’m stuck at the hospital with my wife and daughter for at-least another night. I also found out my fifth wheels roof is leaking as well... we did not need all this garbage stuff to happen right now... fuck me!! This is the worst timing!!

Dude I feel for you. My basement leaks when we get torrential down pours, and my Fifth wheel near Sundre, is on the Little Red Deer River that floods in this crap and I have to do Midnight runs to move it.

So far Im lucky on both counts.

Sundre area is beautiful!! Lots of really nice free camping spots up there! I remember one time, we had a major fire ban so we couldn’t burn all weekend. We were at the bottom of a mountain so it took forever for the sun to heat our camp up. One night we were so cold, I fired up my mini bbq and my wife and I had our feet pretty well on the grill while we were warming our hands up! Hahaha good times!!

So my brother went over to my house and cleaned up the water. Found the weeping tile valve, and it was rusted shut. He managed to open the valve again, and all of our ground water started draining immediately.... my knight in shining armour! Huge weight off our shoulders right now... I’m so much happier!! He saved our ass!!
 
Hey man - don’t forget to take care of yourself too. Make sure you get the time and space you need because you can’t run on empty too long before you start breaking down. Everyone on here will understand if you’re gone for a couple days or a week or whatever. Sending good vibes your way; stay sane in the meantime.

Thanks man! We didn’t even get much rain... I mean it’s been raining since yesterday at about 8Pm but there hasn’t been any major down pour or anything.... I had the same issue last year. Not even two months of having possession of our house. Just not nearly as bad. Last year Alberta got hit hard with rain though... 46 days without seeing the sun or something like that. Then after the thaw going into spring, Ground water... that shit sticks around if not properly disposed off lol. Thanks again bro!! Brothers do rule!

Yeah it’s still raining this morning. Not supposed to stop Till 2am tonight. The forecast app on my phone shows sun and a high of 16... I hope they’re right lol
 
Just waiting to be discharged from the hospital... we are both looking forward to going home. :cheer: Excited to see our oldest daughter! We miss her so much!!

Just walked through the door about 5 mins ago.... so happy to be home!!

now I Need to walk out the door and go get my wife’s prescription, and do some grocery shopping!!

Damn! It got you too eh!!? That’s sucks brother!! Hope it’s not as bad as one would think!! Have you found where water is coming in? Or you think it’s cracked maybe? Could it be as simple as the weeping tile drain valve was rusted shut, like mine?
do you own your house, or renting? Hopefully your renting... then once you move stuff out of the way, you can brush your hands from it and say “not my problem!”:cheesygrinsmiley:

Ahh i remember the good ol’ days, of being able to do that... somewhere down the line, I effed it all up by deciding to be responsible, and buy a house... [mumbles under my breath] dumbass!
