ive got one bakerstreet clone that’s ready to go. Once these 4 green crack and 4 sour jack root, they will be ready for new homes if anybody in the central Alberta area wants a couple!
Great idea Back and I am very impressed with the grow, everything so clean and tidy, a grower of like mind ! I might get one of these started for our area Central Cali. has some growers I know.

get the supplies I need for doing a good bud wash

Back,
How are going to do your bud wash. I would like to do it this season. I've been reading about it on here. Was curious to your approach.

And she's looking very nice indeed. :yummy: :rollit: nicely done.

Thanks bro!! It’s good to see you Sierra cowboy!! It’s been a while!! Hope you were able to enjoy all of your harvest from your first year of running. Have you had any more runs? That I’ve clearly missed lol... not as active around here like I used to be. It’s good to see you man!!

Hey bro! Good to see you as well!!!

I had three 5 gallon buckets of clean water. With the first bucket I mixed in a half cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice and a half cup of baking soda, mix really well. Use that bucket as your first wash bucket. The other two buckets are clean fresh water. I’ve got a small video of the process I’ll try to post to my you tube channel and share it... I did post it on IG, but that’s a different story.

I’ve also got pictures of my harvest to post here shortly.

The lowryder harvest. Harvested on Monday. I was trying to do it before a big storm hit town. It was blowing my trimming all over the place as I trimmed and washed outsude. The wind was so bad it was trying to blow my tray of buds away... I actually had to chase them all and re wash four of them. Doing a bud wash in a wind storm, is not recommended lol!!
Day 112 above dirt, and day 64 of flower.
I have a lil bit of bud rot, but not much, only a few small spots.
these are by far the beefiest buds if ever grown... something about the power of that sun does a good job.! Lol

Awesome thank you for sharing, the lemon juice was a one of the questions I needed answering to (fresh squeeze or concentrate).
I was think of adding a fourth bucket for a H2O2 dunk also, maybe a cup of H2O2 in five gallon bucket of fresh water what do think?

Last question sorry, the temperature of the water? Warm for all and final rinse bucket cold?

It has been a while, I have been around. I actually have a grow journal going as we type, see my signature for the link.

My harvest last year was the best "HomeGrown" I've ever smoked. The bud wash plus the Slow and low cure was the crowning touch, so smoooth ! the trichomes were over the top and the medicinal effect was perfect for my needs.

Go check out what I've learned from last year and what I've done with it. I had great mentors and I learned a lot, my girls this year are products of that experience. I am learning even more this year and next year , well you'll have to read my journal to see what I have in mind.

I am kind of running stealth, when I post it only goes to journals in progress and not the new posts page so no one is seeing it except the ones following journals in progress, I am doing something wrong .

Good to hear from you and great grow !

I think I can answer that last question, All three should be cool , the information that I read when researching said perhaps the warm water will be detrimental to the buds potency, why take a chance.

That would be my general conclusion as well, but we all know trichomes become brittle when cold. So there is that. :hmmmm: Decision decisions.

This is why I have never washed before.

Thanks Sierra Cowboy :high-five:

I washed last year (also my 1st grow) I was VERY gentle when swishing them around and kept them off the sides. The few bugs and dirt that came off was what you would expect if you left anything outside for 5 months. My trichomes were over the top when cured so I think I will be washing this year as well. There are some very good posts here about washing and a tutorial as I recall. I would do the research and then decide for yourself, along the way you will find both sides of the fence well populated.

Yeah I’m sure that extra bucket wouldn’t hurt. I my self wouldn’t mess with H202 unless I’m working with a powdery mildew or bud rot of some sort... but it most certainly wouldn’t hurt to put in the process :high-five:

it probably would be best to have warm water for sure. Good point. I used my garden hose so it was all cold, but warm would be best.

thanks man! She sure surprised the hell out of me. I fed her twice other then that she lived off rain water... super easy and fun to watch.:headbanger:

That’s great to hear! When things slow down for me I will definitely be in the see how your grow is going! Thanks for the invite!! :high-five:

one around here to try and pull some photos through this fall using authentic photons

You can do it BVP! Let those photos soak up those natural photons! What strains have you got going there?

Those are White Cookie clones from Crop King Seeds and The stunty is a Black Sugar clone from Seedsman.

My goal was to do it naturally and whatever happens...happens. However, I'm sure at some point I will have to bring them into the tent to finish them off. Its just I had other plans for the tent and was fully prepared to let these be a experiment.
