The Effects of Medical Marijuana on Alzheimer’s Prevention

A preclinical study published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease found that very small doses of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a chemical found in marijuana, can slow the production of beta-amyloid proteins, thought to be a hallmark characteristic and key contributor to the progression of Alzheimer’s.

The study, published in 2014, is among others to support the effectiveness of THC in prohibiting the growth of toxic amyloid plagues.

Co-author of the study, Neel Nabar, cautions against drawing quick conclusions from their study saying:

“It’s important to keep in mind that just because a drug may be effective doesn’t mean it can be safely used by anyone. However, these findings may lead to the development of related compounds that are safe, legal, and useful in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.”

Nice find. Perhaps Reagan should have just said yes. How ironic.

Huh, published in 2014 and apparently never mentioned again. Way to follow through guys. Wow, wonder what discovery will be made tomorrow that has already been discovered and suppressed for 2/5/10 years?

It seems the lie has run its course now the governments are doing damage control.

Its a Big Lie they got caught in , they have been exposed as the mind control freaks we always suspected but could not prove per say

The future will uncover more lies and brainwashing , technology is a two way street.

Recently found out my birth mother died of dementia at age 75 after 10 years of it.

Glad I've been taking my daily dose of THC for almost 50 years. Maybe I can avoid such a fate tho the old fart moments seem to be more frequent since a small stroke 3 years ago.

I make cannabis infused coconut oil that works great for my arthritis and lasts for a full day. By feeding 120% line voltage to a small crock pot with a variac I can heat it enough to decarb in the oil and not lose any goodness like you do when decarbing in the oven on a cookie sheet which is a horrible and wasteful way to do it. All that stink you smell is your medicine being cooked out of your pot and lost.

Decarbing is only needed for butter/oils that you are going to eat directly. If it's to be used in baking it will decarb just fine during the cooking process.

Since the US federal gov't took out a patent on cannabinoids many years ago I can't understand how they can still perpetuate the lie that pot has no medicinal value and keep it in schedule 1.

:peace:

...Since the US federal gov't took out a patent on cannabinoids many years ago I can't understand how they can still perpetuate the lie that pot has no medicinal value and keep it in schedule 1.

They took out a patent on it because they recognized it as a way to control the people, should it ever become too popular with the masses. They were hedging their bets because they knew how valuable the plant really is. *Expletives Deleted*

Agreed LEDBud. That should be the prime defense. It still ticks me off that the gov holds a patent on cannabis as a medicine but keeps it Schedule I, while at the same time issuing patents related to some of the many medical uses of cannabis. Why isn't this info being used to free people and get cannabis rescheduled??????????????????

Some/many of them seem to be false patents. Especially the last one listed to GW Pharmaceuticals. How the hell are they gonna claim ownership of that? That's BS because we, as taxpayers, paid for that research with The Compassionate Investigational New Drug program that started in 1978. The US gov grows and supplies cannabis to the patients. Glaucoma was the first treatment allowed under the program. That program still supplies 4 patients with MEDICAL cannabis for different needs to this day. This program should also be presented as evidence for any charges being faced to be dismissed and an immediate rescheduling of cannabis to at least Schedule II.

This list stops in 2013, so there are sure to be more by now. You may want to go have a bowel movement before looking at this list. 67 in total, looks to be about half and half patents and patent applications.

Soooo, if the government doesn't believe that THC/CBD therapies cure brain cancer and Alzheimer's; then why have they registered patents for specific methodologies related to THC/CBD remedies?

Time to bust the vault open, and choose life. We can heal ourselves when the diagnosis is found early enough. Don't allow propaganda to run our ECS, follow what our instinct says.

Happy Brain day to you all!

Perpetuate the lie? How many millions of dollars are spent on cops at the donut shop busting people with pot? Per year, per month, per day. And then the money for courts, lawyers and personnel? Are you catching on to how big a business this is? Now add in the private jailers and their staff. See it keeps growing. Then the politicians getting paid not to do anything? More money.
