Hey guys what's up.
Havent had a chance to do a update in awhile, I have had some problems around the house recently but everything seems to be back up to par. This is going to be a relatively busy week but I am planning on snapping some photos when the lights come back on tonight and getting this thing updated properly. Anyways this is what has been going on in the room...
The cloner has been working very nicely, I took a few cuttings out and potted them yesterday, they are going to get until tonight to sit in the veg and then all those that are meant/ready to flower will go in to 12/12. This is only going to be a couple, seeing as how I did not get them all taken at the same time, but within a week I should have roughly 40 2L ready to go. The bubblegummer clones I took have all rooted and begun revegging, but they don't really look cut out for flower right now so they are going to have veg for a bit until I feel they are healthy... I have to choose one for a mother as well. I also need to move all my moms out of 5 gallon buckets down into 1 gallon before the roots get too large for me to do comfortably... 5 gal buckets are just too big. Anyways all the rooted cuttings in the 2L got a nice little dab of BPN to welcome them to their new homes, and boy did they love it! Only about 450ppm ( my water is about 110 ppm normal) just to be safe but they all perked way up and I can see new leaf sets within a day... Impressed so far.
Moving over to the flower room it is the day to chop down the first opium, pics will be scarce however because I made some mistakes with it and it is not much to be proud of haha. It may go straigh into the hash bag, most of it anyways. As a note to everyone: BEWARE! Do not defoliate before the stretch period is finished and the budding has been in process for a couple days, or it could DRASTICALLY reduce your yield. I took all the leaves off when there were just a few pistils and almost no bud formation yet and this resulted in a stunting of the growth of the buds... I will post a couple pics later so you can see what I am talking about. Defoliation is very useful, just don't get impatient and make sure your girls are getting wider, not taller, before you start plucking.
Better news is that I should be chopping down the PK next week, it got its last feeding of BPN+LB the other day at 1200 ppm, and now will be running a 5-7 day flush, though I personally have never found it necessary to flush if you plan on taking the time to trim and cure your buds. The bubblegummers have me puzzled, I don't know if they will produce anything or if it will be good, but I'm starting to see trichomes and smell the bubblegum on them, I guess we'll find out together. All the others look to be coming along real nicely, the afghan haze 33 got its second defoliation yesterday, the first tubs of 1 Gal soil plants are starting off nicely and got their preliminary defoliation yesterday as well. It is looking like its going to be about 5 weeks before things really get going but I'll get up some pics of everything tonight. Let me know if you guys have any questions.
May the force be with you( in preparation of Skywalker
