Thai Stick

Notes: I set my 200 watt CFL to 10/14 yesterday. This Thai Stick father is taking forever to form flowers, so I pulled the plants I have in the unit underneath and tweaked (so no light can get from one unit to the other but air still flows). At 12/12 the plant didn't seem to be doing much; I should have checked before I reset the timer to make sure I didn't have it on 12.5/11.5 or something it's going so slow.
I'm certain that the mystery plant isn't 100% Thai Stick at this point:

Yesterday was 12 weeks from flip (around 10 since the first hairs). There's no way it's going another 8 weeks.
Here's the other two Thai Stick females; they're a little curled at the top from heat and probably too much nutes in the soil mix too:

Sorry about the blurry pics. The camera focuses behind the plant on the tent wall it's so skinny. :(

This one is starting to look really interesting, with that latest calyx surge.

That's a habit a guy can work with. What do you know about it? Is it from a Thai Stick female at least? :hmmmm: What could the father have been?

I like the look of it!

And who's the lil fatty in the right front?

It came from a female Thai Stick bud I rolled up (the other two seeds I got from that same Thai Stick weed convinced me of that). I think the pollen could have drifted from that C4DD strain I'm breeding out now; it's the only thing I had going on with a flowering male at the time that I can think of.
That plant in the front right is Ken's original GDP. :)

Note: for my records I pulled the mystery seed plant (a.k.a. Thai Stick x ?) last night for chop. I had to transplant my Jack the Ripper plants and four others to larger pots this morning so I didn't have time to do it today. I'll get pics up before and after the chop plus I think for yield's sake I might try to reveg this one. :hmmmm:

There's sumpin special about that one Chimp.

I can smell it from here I think - heavy sandalwood with a hint of citrus? I'd like to sample a pinner of that. Yum.

Dang I went and smelled it now my fingers are all sticky but you're close! Moderate sandalwood with a hint of citrus and a heapin' helpin' o' 2x4 pine sap! :cough:

Pine, huh! :hmmm: What did you have with a pine scent? :hmmmm:

Now that I think about it, fuel could smell like pine ... sandalwood/citrus/fuel? :hmmm:

That's one thing growing lance strains the time Barney's has one "Dr. Gridspoon" But Ace seeds and Holy Smokes and World of Seeds has the best lace strains available - but long grow time's -worth it ??? Oh that's right you got the thai from ace

The current DrGrinspoon is great! :thumb:

Say Chimp ... how come I haven't heard of a ThaiDawg? That sounds like a really good thing to have, don' it? :slide:

Thai Stick is around 18 weeks flowering. I got 9-10 weeks left on the females, which is why I'm hoping my male starts flowering faster. It's a long running strain, but I seem to get more weed from those when they grow right. Dr. Grinspoon is one of the strains in a grouping that I'll be doing next, but I'm not sure when I can start that grow (3-4 weeks maybe?). I hope I get the weird one in the advertisement pic. :)

The Thai Stick male is starting to get bigger flowers, and a few may open up soon even though they're small. I may have to cut a few more branches from it. This should work out just right as far as timing goes:

The one I'll pollinate (and probably tie a fishing sinker and line to the top of):

That mix I made is too hot for Sativas :(
