TeSmp's 400W White Widow's + Soil & DWC Lollipops

Hello everyone

Kind of re-doing my journal, the entire grow was done under a SCROG but today I decided to take it out. Three reasons: 1.) It was taking up a lot of room in my limited size tent, 2.) the buds didn't get as large as I expected and the screen isn't needed for support now that the training is done, and 3.) I can now add my DWC and maybe 1-2 more 2L's

INFO:​

What strain is it: 2 x White Widow + 1 Giesel Diesel 2L Lollipop

Is it Indica, Sativa or Hybrid: 60/40 Indica/Sativa I believe on WW / No clue on Giesel

Flowering: Day 38 for WW and day 13 for Giesel

Indoor or outdoor: Indoor

Soil or Hydro: Currently all are in soil, will add DWC within the next week.

If soil... what is in your mix: Fox Farm Ocean Forest / Perilite 2:1 ratio, 2L FFOF / Perilite 1:1 ratio

If soil... What size pot: WW = 3 gallon pot / Giesel 2L

Size of light: 400w HPS/MH digital dimmable

Is it aircooled: As of tomorrow, yes!

Temp of Room/cab: Without aircooled hood 75-82F

RH of Room/cab: 35-50%

PH of media or res: 6.5

Any Pests: No had a few incidents with white flies but they just went away. Only 3-4 of them.

How often are you watering: Every 3 days 1/2 gallon each on WW / Every 2 days on 2L 16 ounces.

Type and strength of ferts used: Blue Planet Nutrients 3 Part Elite, BPN Liquid Blue Bloom Booster. Strength: Monster Bloom phase 1120 PPM.

Yeah lol another day I'm glad to be back with all of you guys! I think they'll fatten up a decent amount more but the screen wasn't doing anything it's not like they were footballs so I took it out for some new!

good to see you back mate, do you think the scrog you was using produced more buds but even though it gave you more do you think you lost yield due to the scrog, i mean as the buds shorter due to them been worked all at the same height under the scrog, im only asking as its a method ive never tried, would not using the scrog allow the buds to grow longer, it just looks to me like the buds are stunted slightly, or could that be down to the strain.

ill let you know about the tracking in a few minutes when i check with usps

have you get any rough guess about how long your plants have got left before you can harvest the goodness

Hello, I don't think the SCROG was more or less of the problem. I think a few thing's could have been better:

1.) I thought my 1/2 teaspoon was a teaspoon (I didn't even think I owned 1/2 a teaspoon) so I have been giving them half nutrients this entire grow.

2.) I followed the nutrient chart on the bottle the entire time, again wrong. Follow the chart on the website.

3.) My temps got high and my humidity was to low over several stages of the grow. I ordered an air cooled hood, it will be here today. And I have the humidity just where I want it.

4.) The screen should have been higher and I should have vegged longer. As well as re-doing the screen to fit this tent, it was very inefficient and designed to fit in my last grow space.

5.) I should have used 5 gallon pots. Now I'm going to hydro.

6.) I don't have enough experience to say whether or not the defoliating was a good idea.

And lastly I don't really know about WW. Some have told me it's more of a potent strain but not to high yielding. Others have said it can yield a lot. I can assure you my future grows will be much better, including the 2L I have in there and the DWC I start next week.

Ohh and we can't forget, this is only day 39 of a 60-65 day strain so it could fatten up a good bit still. And they're on full strength nutes till it's time to start flushing.

The clones are lookin really good too they are taking off in that hempy mix!!!

Yeah they do look pretty cool thank you! The clone is definitely taking off, I got it at a little under 8" and today I would guess it's near 14.5-15" and 2 weeks into flowering. Node spacing is between .75-1.25" on the main stalk and 1.5" on the side shoots so it will make a really nice lollipop

As far as the clones 3 of them threw out some roots but none really ended up looking to hot. I think I'm going to scrap the cloning idea and just buy a few more for now. Either that or get a humidity dome and try some the old school way lol. And sorry bike can't PM till I get 50 posts :/

I agree, to get 8"+ quality clones with no bugs ready to throw in flower if I want it's really quite dumb to waste my time right now. It was more of an experiment to see some monster cropped clones and see if I could do it for less then $15 (should have went with a humidity dome). And yeah I can read them I should have enough posts today or tomorrow lol.

fair enough then mate, you have got plenty of flower time left then, its just i have seen a few scrogs and noticed that the plants get more buds but they seem to be shorter buds unless the plant is vegd and the shoots allowed to grow through the scrog a bit before flower, but you may be right with the nutes, whats with the half a tsp, never heard of one of them before, i did read in a couple of journals that the instructions on the nutes are different to the site, so ive downloaded the nute guide off the site so ill be using that when i get my nutes, so glad your back i was looking forward to the results from your plants, cant wait,

Yeah typically you will get a little smaller buds but many tops. With this the yield is usually higher than it would have been with several large colas. Given my circumstances who knows which would have been better. I will run a SCROG in the near future and it will be much better! You are correct use the schedule online.

if i only had 1 fem in veg then i would consider a scrog but i dont have the room to get a scrog going on more than 1 plant, plus id like to see this grow through first and decide where im going from their.

the dogs doing my head in, wants to go for a walk and its gale force winds and pissing down, the problem is if i take the dog a walk i gota take the kids with me cuz im on my own, so looks like where all going out to get soaked, problem is the kids dont mind they love getting messy, its just when we get back and the dogs wet and muddy n the kids are wet n muddy n im just wet n miserable, oh well, gota do what ya gota do, the dog needs to do his business n he wont wait much longer, so im off to get wet and blown over, laters for now then mate

Yeah SCROG's are a lot of fun you should give it a try sometime. Have fun out there! I don't like getting soaked to much, I am from Seattle though, pretty wet there.
