Tent Grow - Jack Herer - White Widow & Amnesia Haze - Mars II LED

Since she's an auto this will slow her down just a bit, but your presence does much to overcome the damage, believe it or not. Tend to her lovingly and she'll reward you in kind. They're amazingly resilient plants and this one chose to survive, so watch out! :battingeyelashes: good save. :high-five:

Tent Girls: JH and WW - Day 28

JH likes to dance and WW not so much. I need to adjust their little fan breeze so WW will find her dancing legs...lol. Both have thick beautiful skirts on and are gaining on the width of their fabric pots. This has me thinking about making a short movie. Something else to add to my planner.

DD #1 is just being a seedling. Sad news here is DD seedling which was to be #2 has decided to quit living and is being replaced. I'm pretty sure I killed it trying to make it germinate.

Yes, please -- a video of dancing cannabis sounds AMAZING. :)

Do I even have to chime in on the big pictures side? LOL!

Tent Girls: JH and WW - Day 29

I tried to pony tail the tent girls last night and forgot to take the fuzzy sticks off. Oh well.

DD #1 Trio of true leaves. I think it's deformed.

I've got another DD coming out of paper towels today if the root is sufficient. It was about 1/8 inch yesterday. It'll go to a solo cup and I'm going to rig up a reflector with a CFL in there for the little ones.

The reflectors are amazing. To be able to get almost 100watts right up over and around the plant is such a rush! (just me??? :laughtwo:) You can get more than enough light to them using something as simple as a y-adapter and two bulbs. Some of the neatest single DIY reflectors are made of pop cans.

I did an astounding job with CFLs on my first run without buying a single reflector. If you go for something like the ones I'm using with the four bulbs be sure to buy the more expensive one (around$12). The $10 one is a waste of your money. Each of those reflectors I put together ran me over $30 apiece. I had a shit-load of money hit my hands at the same time Dale died and I spent. Not the smartest grief therapy, and thankfully most of what I bought will still be useful. Now that I'm downgrading I'll have an excess. Sure glad I didn't pick up two more sets like I'd planned.

Tent Girls: JH and WW - Day 30

My hand wasn't real steady this morning so I got tripod out and made sure I turned the fan off so I could get some better pics. Later I just took them out of the tent and snapped a shot of each under some better light. It gave me a chance to measure them, smell them (Hmmmm and Ahhhh) and to stick my hand in the soil. Everything in the tent got straight water yesterday and feeling that soil helps me to determine if I'm thoroughly watering enough. Fabric pots are a little weird for me and I'm a little behind on my water preparation. I haven't watered to run-off yet. Both plants were 7 1/2 inches.

And here's that "Special" Dark Devil.

Wow, Jim! The Jack Herer is amazing! Those leaves made me gasp, they're so gorgeous.

When I started watering in fabric pots I brought the bonsai watering skills Dale trained me with to the task. Water slowly and completely just until water starts to flow through freely in a stream. The slow is of particular importance since most of our soil mixes are based in peat moss and you need to give it the time to absorb.

Then I'd let it sit at least ten minutes and repeat, but this time stop as soon as you get anything dripping through. That should completely saturate. Alternatively, you could start bottom watering, which actually grows better root balls. In your case, since you use nutes, I suppose this is possible.

Anyone in the room use bottled nutes and know if it's acceptable to water bottom up with them? I can't see why not, unless the nutes would get caught in the fabric. :hmmm: That feels like a distinct possibility, so you might want to consider nute-amended water from above and clear water from below. Either way, bottom watering will take away much of your concerns. Getting the watering right is the single biggest challenge for new cultivators, after getting the seeds to actually pop.

Seeds!!! I have seeds in a container on the fridge!! I forgot. Let me go check.

Tent Girls: JH and WW - Day 30

Some preventative maintenance in the tent today. I crumbled some mosquito dunks and spread the material on pots in the tent. I do not want any fungus gnats in this area.

I also rubbed some soap on the tent's zipper. Candle wax or graphite can also be used to keep that zipper running smoothly.

DD #2 was inserted carefully into a solo cup yesterday after spending a couple days in tissue located above the cable box for warmth. Solo cup goes into tent during the day and spends its night above the cable box.

The fan to provide the girls a gentle breeze is now on timer with the LED as it's getting cooler overnight.
