Hey BlueDog. I haven't smoke any of these yet except the SLH. The Red Dragon bloom nicely, much faster than the others...the Tangerine Dream has longer flowering time so it's expected to bloom a little slow.

How about yourself? Had experience with Red Dragon or any of the strains I'm growing?

Unfortunately not but I'm putting Red Dragon on my list if you think it smokes good.

I'm doing a small clone sog right now and I had an SLH mother but none of her clones made it. She was very slow growing and even after 6 weeks the cuttings were only an inch or less in size, just too small to make it. I'm going to try her again sometime though.

The only strains I know I've smoked are the 3 I just grew - AK48 (Nirvana), Bubba Kush (Green House) and a strain we call Lucy from Barney's Farm who's real name is not allowed on this site... Lucy Sky Diamonds. My friends all like Lucy the best but I like the Bubba Kush best, all 3 have been great.

I've got some Acapulco Gold, Bubblicious, White Widow and a runt Red Diesel going right now.

I've heard great things about the Violator Kush and of course Tangerine Dream although you're the first grow I've followed with it - what is the flowering time?

Right now I'm working on my list for the next SOG grow. If anyone has experience with the mentioned strain; grow, smoke taste, etc... please chime in.

Not 100% set yet, but these are the ones I'm thinking of getting.

Vanilla Kush - 22%
Utopia Haze - 22%
Pineapple Chunk - 25%
LSD - 24%
Night Shade - 22%
Pineapple Express - ?
Grapefruit Diesel - 20%

Hey Bro edit the el-ess-dee name to Lucy or 420 will delete it, you can't use that name here.

IMO you want plants that will grow about the same size and speed. So I would not include the hazes. I would also try to make it mostly strains you know so you don't get size surprises... nothing worse than having say 12 plants at 16" and 4 at 25".

Check out 420fieds thread so you can see exactly what your roots should look like before putting the clones into flower.

Oh man, I can't edit the thread now. It's just the name of a strain not sure why it is not allowed? :P

If a monitor can remove it I don't mind because I'm unable to, the edit button is not there.

You are right about the size, I was thinking of putting the strains in two groups, each take turn flowering so they grow the same height. Right now the Tangerine Dream is quite tall lol.

I've checked out 420fieds thread about the roots for clones, great education!

My mini clone army. These got about 2 more weeks before 12/12. Going to make one Tangerine Dream, Violator Kush, Red Dragon, and Super Lemon Haze to become a mother.

Will have to wait and see. End of May or first week of June I'll be able to let you know if Red Dragon is worth growing. I'm sure it is.

Sorry to hear she didn't make it. I noticed the clones took a bit longer to root. I mainly use a transparent fountain cup (32oz) covering the plant with moisture, and mist it once every other day until take root. Been using this method and have 99.9% success rate.

I may have to try out those strains in the future grow. Do you think strains with high THC is guarantee favorites? I like to grow strains with high THC content because I like to see friends amazed at the medicine with one hit.

The TD has been flowering for 3.5 weeks now.

Ha we're both after the same thing, the higher thc the better!

You're gonna love Lucy. She's a very energetic but stoned buzz. The ak48 and bubba kush for me are more of a find the recliner and remote kind of high lol.

420 is serious about their mission of promoting the legalization of cannabis and it's use as a medicine. They don't want anyone doing a google search on hard drugs to get hits on this site, because the last thing they want is to be linked in any way with the hard drugs. I can understand where they're coming from and it would be better if the seed companies named their strains a little better too. So that's why they do it and that's why we just call her Lucy.

Thanks for the cloning tips I can use all the help I can get.

I'll put in a good word for Red Dragon. I have some curing and thought the test buds I smoked were great. Nice high without being too stoney. Just enough Indica to mellow things out and take the edge off the pain.:grinjoint:

The pheno I have is very sativa. Two more in flower that I am looking forward to jaring up at the end of the month.

Ah, that made sense now. Yeah, companies should be more careful about naming their creation, making connection with hard drug when it is not, lol. More amusing than anything.

I'm curious, you know if the clones flower nice in 20oz soda bottle?

I went back (to the clone dispensary) and they got more. I've got 3 now I think. I'm doing a 2k watt SCRoG and it is not the only strain I'm growing. I'm also growing OG, Grand daddy purp, Purp. Urkle,Afghan Kush, Chem Dawg and a few others. I'm about 5 or 6 weeks into flowering and some of the bud leaves are turning purple/black. It really helps my yields a lot to use the SCRoG. I found these great metal screens they sell @ the hardware store around here and they look like a BBQ grill and are supported by metal stilts. They are made for gardening and the holes are about 5". I also threw a net over the other ones and I'm pretty pleased with the results. The violator is the type of plant that looks to me like it's not a 100% pure Indica because it seems to have some Sativa traits. The leaves and the smell look like there is some Sativa in the background. Smell really good...but not as good as my OG.

Sorry bro I don't know about the 20oz bottles, but it's worth a try I guess. If you can, mix in 25% vermiculite to improve the moisture retention in the upper half of the bottle and thus expand the root zone upwards. Good luck!

You got a lot of great strains going. For my next grow I'm doing 12 different strains in a SOG style. Have you smoked Grand daddy purp before? Which seed company is that from? You got some pics of your grow? Would like to see how you set up the SCRog. Right now I'm watching the Violator and the bud formation is quite strange, lots of leaves but not much buds, then again it's only been about 3.5 weeks into flowering. It already has some trichomes showing up which smells nice. What seed company make OG?

I've been doing some research to see if anyone had done grow in 20oz bottles and I found someone that did. DrBudGreengenes had success doing it. Not sure if he's on this forum but I found him on other grow forums and read up his journal.

This week I'm making a clone bubbler with 25 clone sites, nute mix with bubble going for Earth Juice, and start collecting up the 20oz bottles at local recycling centers.

I'll use the air pots for mothers and the 20oz for clone army. The space I have should be able to allow me to hold at least 90 of the 20oz, maybe more after this grow is harvested. But this will be for the next grow journal...

Hey bro this will be really interesting to watch, how tall were his clones and what kind of yield did he get? I was in the pop aisle the other day so I checked them out and they're really small! If you can grow good clones in those I'm in, but I think I'll watch you first lol.

Not sure if we're allowed to post links to other grow sites here...

But he yield 7-21g per plant in 20oz bottle. He called it a micro-grow sog. Only with 2ft of space and 250w cfl perpetual grow, not bad I would say.

With the space I have it can easily allow 100 of the 20oz.

100 x 7g = 700g = 1.5lb (min)
100 x 21g = 2,100g = 4.6lb (max)

That's every month. Enough to supply the friends & myself with good meds. For the next grow I'll be using LED light, which should take the yield starting out with the mid range around 14g or more per plant. But yes, I've seen it done so I'm confident that it will work when I do it. You're welcome to watch heh, I'll start this in 30days. The mean time will be collecting them bottles.

Hey dude just skimming thru the thread and everything is looking good Im currently a month into 12/12 with 3 kinds of kush Vanilla,Burmese and Violator take a look at some of the pics I posted they look fabulous and I cant wait for the chop and smoke report Im thinking Im going to get a nice ball of kush hash cause of all the sugar forming.
