Thanks bro! I think pulling up the light helped out. I measured and it's at 3'5" above the top.

I also tweeted Growers Choice Seeds about the "flowering time"
They said, "flowering time begins at presence of pistils, and the veg time is anywhere from 2-6 weeks on top of that. (I'm assuming, based on how dominate the ruderalis is)

If that's the case, this lady won't be done until November 7th (10 weeks from pistils)
Now that sounds more appropriate, but I guess I'm just having trouble wrapping my mind around how big these buds will get with 8 weeks left lol

I think both my AK and Blueberries showed pistils around day 35 (week 5). Of course the earliest I harvested was 84 days (12 weeks!) so that would have been 7 weeks of flower. But 420 claimed 55 day total grow, so that was a ridiculous spec.
All the relatives can help trim!

Well, the wife's are all in Iowa and mine are down south.
I'm thinking of getting one of those little ball trimmers. Last year was brutal.
Me, my Fiskars, and hours and hours of trimming lol

The veg time is the wild card. I mean shit, this one popped pistils 16-17 days from sprout? She'd be a monster with 4 more weeks of veg!

Shed pointed it out (I think), but these seeds stated flowering time. Not sprout to harvest.
Smart, imo, basically saying, "We have no clue how long this thing will veg, but after it does this is what to expect." Lol
plausible deniability ... its us misinterpretting them and not them misleading us ... whats the point to give a flowertime instead of seed to harvest unless the strain isnt stable enough ... or am i misinterpretting them ...?
I'm not sure that it's not the opposite. I think veg time is always the same for the strain because it's not dependent on what you do, but flower time will depend on nutes and light intensity and size of the plant. My two blueberries both vegged for the same amount of time practically to the day, but the LST version went two weeks longer in flower because of the number of tops. At least that's my theory!

The point would be, that you know how long it will take once the pistils pop. Lol
I personally don't know a lot about breeding with ruderalis. I'm sure since it's now becoming huge, you'll have breeders put in the time to stabilize the genes. But that's years and years. I'd say autoflower breeding is still ground floor (comparatively).
I'd rather know the flowering time with a few weeks variance in veg, than have a finite number that's never correct.
We'll see. If she's done by Nov 7, they're in the ballpark enough for me.
I always got the feeling that they take their autoflower seeds, sprout them, and run them 24/0 in hydro and call that their quoted harvest time. It's a best-case scenario as opposed to a real-life one
