Tales From The Krip!

Brother Krip, you need an intervention or full on rehab at Betty Ford's. BUT, those are some nice selections! All this talk about Ace and their landrace strains and how a lot of the hybrids on the market are bastardized and the highs are less distinct and meh, I really wanna get some Ace beans BUT I already have way too many seeds! When laws change for the better, I'll up my output and then can buy more seeds.

Who's Betty Ford? If she's a breeder with some killer strains for sale, count me in!

I store mine in the fridge, in sealed mason jars, with dessicant packs inside.

Here's an OLD video I had posted in, I think, my very first journal that may help:

EDIT: For some reason, the video does not appear to be playing here. You can view it at:

(The only way I could get the link was to paste it as code!)

I just noticed the video I posted wasn't playing. I edited the original post and included the link at the bottom if you weren't able to view it. ;)

The seeds are still in the water for the signs of the tap root? What would you do, if, after 24 hours no tap root was showing?
Assuming they've sunk, either put them in the paper towels, as Brother Duggan suggested, or plant them in whatever soil/coco/plug/other medium you'll be using for veg.

MORE SEEDS

In spite of Brother Ween's's best efforts to break my addiction and speaking of $$$'s invested, Brother NCW reminded me that, last Sunday, I had placed an order with Ace seeds in the shopping cart but wanted to call my credit card company first to make sure the order didn't get blocked and I hadn't taken care of it yet.

So, I just did! :slide:

Here are the strains that should be coming in from Ace:
  • Bubba Hash Feminized (3-pack) - Thanks Brother Neiko !
  • Malawi Feminized (3-pack)
  • Zamaldelica x Kali China Feminized (5-pack)
  • Malawi x Panama Standard (10-pack / Free)
Happy Harvests!

K

Great choices. I've run all of those except the Zam x Kali China. The Kali China crosses are excellent though, that Thai Chi is one of my favorites, and of course Bubba Hash is just a special plant. If you want to try cobbing, the Malawi x Panama was my favorite cob so far. The old Vietnam era hippies loved it, they said they haven't had anything like it since Vietnam. I'll be watching closely.

Thanks, Brother! I did a little homework to make sure I had the Ace strains I "really" wanted in the arsenal and those seemed like the ones (in addition to the ones I already have, of course! ). I think it's still gonna' be some time before any of them get grown out, but I'm pretty anxious to run the BBH to see if it's any better than the Blackwater or Tut for my dad's pain.

He is getting some decent relief from both the Tut and Blackwater. He THINKS the Blackwater might be a little better but really can't tell much of a difference (another reason I'm hanging onto Tut for now!).

Since I just had my first harvest in about two years, I'm gonna build up the supply a little bit before I start running those Sativas with the longer finish times. ;)

DAY #19 OF 12/12 - QUICK PIC UPDATE

Today is day #19 of 12/12 and I gave the Dolatos and one of the Forbidos (the one in the SIP) their first CATs tonight. It's probably a little bit early, but those Dolatos seem to be developing quick (pics forthcoming! ;) ) and I didn't want to wait another 4-5 days. Also, I'm considering giving them an extra CAT to see what happens, depending on how they handle the first two.

I haven't had to raise the lights in 4-5 days, so the stretch is well over and everything is settled in at a decent height:

The rest of these pics are all the two Dolatos frosting up HEAVY! :yummy::

Happy Harvests!
