Tales From The Krip!

...no, not in Mexico, that's just a yearly getaway, when our Canadian winters are prone to very cold temps and lots of snow!...although we have considered a relocation, I think we would miss the different seasons we experience here(extreme as they can be), as well as family...cheerz... :high-five: ...h00k...

But the best thing about Canada is that it has an actual Winter, lol.

Yeah, I guess it was back in January you said you were going for a few months....So where's all the great grow pics at? :thedoubletake:

What insurance company is this if you don’t mind sharing? CL🍀. :thumb:
I'm not really comfortable listing the insurance company publicly just in case they search the web for mentions of their company name and start putting things together from other posts I've made here, but if you really want to know, send me a PM and I don't mind sharing. ;)

That’s cool and not a problem. I just was wondering but they’re all pretty much the same. CL🍀

Yes, in that they profit from not paying out. But they do vary in regards to the... amount of effort they expend to accomplish that thing.

Back in 1993 or 1994, I had "minimum legal insurance" on an old beater. Was driving home for lunch one day, and some girl suddenly decided that she could drive a manual-shift vehicle... with no driver's license... that was parked in her back yard. Well, she did drive it - right into the front right corner of my car. While I was waiting on a cop to arrive and do a report that showed it was her fault, lol, I called my insurance company. This was just liability insurance, but I did also have the usual uninsured/underinsured motorist thing. Anyway, the damage wasn't all that bad. And, again, it was a beater. I was young, I had tools, and I knew where the junkyards were, lol. So I told the person that I talked to that I could fix it, myself, cheaply. I was told to do that, and let them know how much it ended up costing me. I did exactly that (sort of), called and gave them a dollar amount... and they sent me a check just a few days later. At no point did anyone from the insurance agency even bother to look at my car. Nor did anyone even ask, "Can you send us the receipts?" I just called back, gave a number, and received a check.

I assume that this sort of thing is... vanishingly rare. I wonder if they're still in business? Funny thing is that the insurance was CHEAP. Plus, when I was initially talking to the broker, agent, whatever he was called, I hadn't actually purchased the car. I was looking at several, maybe ten. Some were nicer than others, of course. He went so far as to suggest that, if I bought this car, I'd probably want full coverage, that car it would be sensible to carry liability... if I bought one of the other ones, I would absolutely want full coverage - and I would want to call a certain other insurance agency instead of going with him, because it would be a lot cheaper. LMAO.

I doubt there are many like that one.

DAY #56 OF 12/12 - THESE PLANTS STINK!

Once again, apologies for lack of posting recently but y'all deserve an update and the Cheeselicious certainly deserve to be shown off.

First, the White Widow I put outside is dead, deceased, passed, no longer with us, six feet under, and generally not well. She went into flower prematurely when I put her outside to continue vegging after having her under 24/0 inside as a seedling. Then she decided to try to reveg, and really was doing OK, but she just couldn't take the heat and I found her with a wilted cola a couple of weeks ago and the rest of the colas soon followed. :rip: I just didn't have the space indoors for her, with most of the house in disarray, and she got largely ignored outside.

The two indoors Cheeselicous, on the other hand, are really looking fantastic and I was able to delay some of the pending insurance stuff so I should be able to take them to finish. I don't think they're gonna need much more than two more weeks and I just gave them what should be the last top dressing of @GeoFlora Nutrients which is still the easiest nute regime I've ever used and produces some stellar buds.

It's definitely fall time in the grow room and along with the frost, we're getting some nice changes in color.

Here's what they're looking like today, starting with a couple of tent pics and then some miscellaneous bud and cola pics:

Overall, I really couldn't be happier with these plants, especially considering they're from freebie seeds. They do stink about as much as anything I've grown and you can definitely tell it's a Cheese strain! :yummy:

I'm hoping to see these buds really fatten up over the next couple of weeks!

Happy Harvests!

LOL, are you looking at that foxtail in the 2nd to the last pic??? ;)

My temps typically run in the mid-to-high 70's....usually about 76-77ish, but a few days ago, we were having really warm temps and I decided to turn up the thermostat so the A/C wasn't running constantly and, consequently, it got quite warm. I actually didn't even see the temps in the tent but it must have gotten well into the 80's before I realized (after a day or two), "Oh sh1t! :thedoubletake: I've got plants and they're probably getting pretty warm!" so I cranked the A/C back up.

That said, after lights go back in the morning for a while, I'll get you the actual temp & RH numbers.

DAY #59 OF 12/12 - FROSTY FRIDAY

...couple of pics of some of what I've got going this year, made by myself...Day 25 post flip...

Killer Hash(A5KH X Bubba Hash, both from Ace)...

Killer Gold(A5KH X Acapulco Gold from Barney's)

Lemon Paki S1...made by a friend, and the strain does has some back story from here at the mag...

...got some others going that I made, as well as some from friends...seed making is something I will pursue further...cheerz... :high-five: ...h00k...:hookah:...

Nice genetics!

Did you reverse a Killer Haze?

And you have one of the Paki S1s. Cool! I had a sample of one, but I didn't think it measured up to the original. I've been running a cut of the original myself - glad to have it.

And I'm sure impressed with the look of your plants @Mr. Krip ! Mine are looking better but I'm not sure I have the dedication to make them look as good as yours. :laughtwo:

Now, that's what I'm talking about, Brother! Very nice! :high-five:

I've been talking and posting info about genetics and breeding for several years, now, and I still haven't been able to get my breeding program started.

If you're not gonna start a journal, keep posting updates here! :thumb:

Thank you, Brother! :thanks:

Honestly, I haven't had the time to be very "dedicated" either. I just top dressed with dry nutes every two weeks, watered every other day, and pretty much left them alone.

I'm impressed myself considering they were from free seeds! I sure wish I had taken a clone of Cheeselicious #1 (the one going purple) but really have no where to keep it with the grow having to come back down in a couple of weeks.
