Swick, Soil, Photos - Multi Strain

Today was hanging day for the two Cookies Kush.

Cookies kush shed formula. The wicks were clean and the pot came right off the base. The square pattern works!!! Also think using the AC infinity bags was a key too. Also the liquid nute keep them clean. It's been like 60 plus days since I lifted the pot or cleaned the wicks.

Didn't get a before pic of the plant...ops. but here she is hanging. I kept each main branch together with their satellites to slow the dry. Some of them look like whole plants ha. Normally I get 2 plants on this 6' pvc pipe....and this is just the one. Sea shells for shed :)

I had to take a pic of the leaf pile as it's the first time ever that they are all green and healthy. And I had to show off my halloween flops:)

Cookies kush MC formula. Surprisingly no roots growing I to the wicks either. However, much dirtier with MC than liquid nutes. She really slowed down drinking and I thought it may have been a wick issue....and maybe it was. Liquid nutes with swicking moving forward.

She had some clear, some cloudy, and some amber before going dark. Now mostly cloudy with some amber

Nice haul...so far, Tim! :Rasta:

Congrats on the chops and the great looking flowers, wicks, and shells! :welldone:
Thanks! I've noticed with the swick and DLI, my node spacing is greater and I'm not really getting long colas. However, each bud site is the right green and look like perfect nugs down a branch like candy :)

Curious to see the final weight. The Orange Sherbet last grow was more individual budding sites than forming one big cola and yield was good and bud density was better.

Hey @InTheShed I have a question. Since I have beautiful sugar leaves, and some larfy bud on one plant, do I need to cure the trim/larf before making infused oil for edibles?
No. Curing is mostly done to making smoking more pleasurable. Some folks feel that there are varieties that improve with age, but the THCa content will never be higher than at harvest.

Also, be sure to decarb before infusing. Breaking the acid molecule off the THC is much harder if the THCa is already encapsulated by the oil.

Awesome thanks!!!

Today the Geloto OG and Acupulco Gold got the chop

Gelato OG. I really like the way she grew. Every nug, even the lower ones below the canopy are just beautiful and dense. She smells amazing too. Even though she was the shortest plant, I believe she will yield the most. We shall see :)

Wick was very clean and her pot very heavy. Liquid nutes for the win!

She took up the whole bar, typically I can get 1.5-2 plants on here. Had to move some after the picture as the Acupulco Gold needed a higher hanging place :)

Acupulco Gold, stood at 54" even after supper cropping. She also has very dense buds throughout. She seems a bit dry all around though....may take quicker to dry

I was hoping this grow might beat my record of 1.8lbs for a harvest but it looks like I won't based on the final weight of the two Cookies Kush that were harvested amost 2 weeks ago.

Cookies Kush shed formula: 155g.
All dense and beautiful nugs. The nugs smell WAY better than her sister that used MC.

Cookies Kush MC: 105g.
A bit disappointing for such a large plant. She had too many satellites and alot of larf (not counted in total)

All in all a successful grow! Learned some new nutes, had healthy leaves all the way to harvest, fixed the roots growing into Wick issues with the square pattern and a fan at the bottom of the tent.

Only area for possible improvement, need to reduce note spacing. I think my light wasn't strong enough during veg and stretch, even though I followed DLI chart. No real long colas, more like individual buds, but maybe that's good as they all got a good mature green to them.

Primo growing Tim!

You'll have a nice stockpile for the new year! :Rasta:

Yea sir and thank you! You showed.me the square wick pattern and that's definitely the way to go.

I went like 70 days of not lifting the pots or cleaning wicks. Since I have one fabric pot and soil left I'm going to try somethings I always wanted to do. Grow one plant and scrog her :) I'll start that in a week or two ha

Congratulations on the last two harvests! I can see why you're lovin' on the Gelato OG since it really is a stunner, and though you may not beat your top weight that might be down to the varieties you picked since it ain't the grower. This grow looked great until the end.

:bravo:
As always, thanks for the kind words and the help!

All four plants are harvested, trimmed, and now in Grove bags. Final tally: 517g

Cookies kush MC:, 103g not counting larf and she had a bunch.

Cookies kush GH nutes shed formula: Dense buds, little larf. 155g

Gelato OG: no larf, dense buds, and even the lowest nugs was fully ripe. Im sure spreading out her branches the last week of her life helped. 154g.

Alcupulco Gold, GDBs girl: no larf, dense buds, an unusual smell. Hard to explain, but I like it. 105 oz

I was hoping for a bit more but assuming the big node spacing and no long connected colas may have been the reason? Certainly still happy :)

my best yielding grow was 660g (Godfather OG/GSC). Shockingly, the 3 plant auto grow I did last was 452g...nearly as much as these 4 photos which took much longer start to finish. It helped the one orange sherbert was 219g :)

Deciding now if the next "big" grow is auto or photos. I need bigger yields or grow continuously to keep my fiance supplied as she's a 24/7 smoker.

I think I'll do a short auto grow in the meantime time. Something I have always wanted to try, scrogging one plant and getting as much as I can. With figuring out the wicking system....I think it's possible now to scrog.

Thanks @InTheShed

And @Grand Daddy Black
For following along and helping

Thank you for the show Tim! :Rasta:

Great grow and great results! Just curious if you've finally emptied all those boxes, because there may be some extra ounces of weed tucked away in one. :)
Haha. Half are now upstairs, Christmas decorations, and still sitting in boxes. It's the fiance, she's a hoarder and I'm a.minimalost ha

Thank goodness it's not a 400 page perpetual journal. :laughtwo: I will take my time and go through this today. My order for the bases in getting completed shortly.
Have a great day, and High everyone! :cheesygrinsmiley:
Haha. Yes, short and simple to follow :)
