Ahhhh..... Sunday evening company.
Hi Sue!
If you haven't been to San Diego, you'll surely love the weather and area, it's a very delightful spot on this earth. I lived there for about 2 years in the late 90s, the earth is awesome in those parts, the people ... well ... a little uppity for my tastes. "Locals" seem to forget we are all pale faced visitors to the native Indians lands. Not many folks I ran into were very tolerant of "outsiders", my thick accent stuck out like a sore thumb. Enjoy your trip, wish I wasn't on the other end of the Valley or I'd make a visit with you. I might be moving myself this summer, and it might be to a state that isn't as cannabis legal as CA. Time will tell, but it's looking like I might make the leap across the country again, to the rest of my life on a beach.
Peace
Keith
Oh, I wish you were closer. I was hoping..... You should see this beach house Keith. Incredible! I've been scrolling through the photos in wonder. It's steps from the beach, and I'm taking my canna cream for sunscreen.
Uppity locals always seem to respond positively to the bright spot that is me. Lol! When you travel in a cloud of unconditional happiness things tend to go your way.
I'll live in my suit, when I'm not visiting members or being dragged along to fun things.
I'm not much of a tourist, preferring to chill and just enjoy the natural rhythm of the waves. The beach.
I'm getting better at this deliberate manifestation thing, ya think? This is the second beach vacation in as many years that I manifested in essentially the same way.
I'm starting to understand how important it is to completely suspend doubt, and why so many people can't bring themselves to trust that it really works enough to give it an honest try. Faith, true faith, takes childlike courage. From the time we're children we're taught that things don't always work out the way you want them to, when that's completely wrong, once you can manipulate your own energy. Why don't we teach children to create? I taught mine the fundamentals without being aware that's what I was doing. When I get my granddaughters back I'll teach them the finer points I didn't know when their parents were in my care. Then they can teach their children.
Oooh! SweetSue is taking a 420 road trip!
What a wonderful turn of events - bravo you!
I wish I lived somewhere along the way
would be very nice indeed to share a J with you in person. My garden is just a little bit out of your way tho!
I wonder when this site update is going to happen... ? I keep expecting to get the ‘site down’ message every time I load a page, but... here we still are... I’ve been holding off on an update ‘cause I didn’t want to get caught mid upload! Plus I didn’t want to be messing up their migration by adding new files in the middle of file transfers. Guess they’ll get down to the brass tacks of it later tonight. That gallery migration must be massive!!
Love
to your garden Sue
I have it from good authority that it might not happen for a couple days. I'd do the update now. And thank you Amy. The girls thank you too.
Sounds exhilarating Sue! I've never been out of my neck of the woods so its sounds like a blast to me. Quick question also, why did you make the jump to doc buds high brix when you were enjoying the no till los method so much? Ive seen you usually keep both in rotation now but just curious as to why the switch? CC's mix did wonders for you if I'm not mistaken? Also wanted to pick your (and all your followers) brains a little and see what strains you guys have had the best consistent results with. For some background ill be using 400w timber led and trying my best to grow 1 monster to fill out a 3x3. Probably gonna get lotsss of training and possibly scrog. Any reccomendations are welcome! Has anyone had luck with swami or mobt landrace strains? Thanks in advance!
LaquerHead. Good questions. Before I answer let me inquire, is there anything we can help you with as you settle into the virtual neighborhood? Are you considering a journal so members can join in the fun by watching over your shoulder? IMO there's not a better way to acclimate to the community at large.
Now, as to the questions posed..... Yes, I had great success with CC-style LOS, but I lacked the .......... interest I suppose would be the best term, the interest to delve into the study of organic soils to continue that success. If you know my history you know that the death of my husband was an upheaval of my personal life that took time to heal from, and studying LOS became a low priority. By then I'd been introduced to Doc's Kit, and I found it an intriguing and effective soil community with an irrepressible energy that keeps most pests at bay, something that can't be said for my journey with my no-tills, which became a continuious series of pest-control projects.
Doc's Kit is the bargain, for the money, and to be honest, you won't find many systems that'll grow the produce the kit will at any cost.
You see I also grow in hempy with expensive bottled nutrients. The plants I grow with RX Green Technologies are the most beautiful in my garden and rival the kit girls for quality produce, but they won't produce some of the desired terpene expressions you're only going to get with a living, organic soil. So I dabble in both, hempy for the ease and beauty, and Doc's kit for the same reason, plus the added bonus of tastier produce with more delicious flavors.
To be truly honest, the end results are close enough that most wouldn't know the difference, but then we're not most people, are we?
On the fringe of this historical perspective of my transition away from LOS was my involvement in the medical threads, which became more important to me than learning to be successful with LOS. I still strongly support the medium. In the beginning it was the sweetest ride, and that first harvest was a wonder.
That soil helped bring me to the forefront here. It'll always have a special place in my heart.
If you're looking for the star of CC-style LOS you'll need to meet bobrown14. BB is our resident LOS guru, and in checking I see you found him.
You had to have seen his garden pictures while you were there. The man is a genius when it comes to growing cannabis with LOS and he's great fun to talk to as well. I think you'll like him.
I get my most consistent results out of CBD Critical Cure, a chemovar I most highly recommend for ease and for medicinal value.
